Mega zygarde's special attack is 216?!
I was just bitching about Core Enforcer being useless yeterday lol.

Also, regarding Mega Zygarde it only getting +70 BST, there's a chance that Game Freak wanted to avoid overflow/underflow shenanigans? I know hacking in Eternamax Eternatus and giving it defense stat boosts or something leads to it taking like no damage because of its stupidly high stats.

There’s also a skip cutscene button.
Oh finally they learned how to add a feature that's been around in other games since 2002.

Mega Medicham and Mawile do have an offset attack base stat as well looks like.
Going by how they did it there's a chance Mega Starmie is base 100 atk with Huge Power.

Mega Medicham: 60/140/85/80/85/100
Mega Mawile: 50/147/125/55/95/50
Oh goody. A fast mixed attacker with recover with offensive stats of 100/130/120 and huge power making it physically as strong as Mega Medicham. This thing could be an absolute monster only salvaged by "only" having 120 speed.

So a 40% multiplier to Atk then. Yeah, Mega Starmie having Huge Power or a clone ability (Star Power?) with a base 100 Atk is all but confirmed. It will still need plenty of new physical moves to put that to work. For starters, I'm guessing that like Malamar, Starmie will now be compatible with Close Combat.

No? Eternatus's Defense is 255 same as Blissey's Special Defense and Blissey doesn't cause underflow issues if it gets Sp.Def boosts.

I mean do we really want Mega Zygarde rolling around with an 808 BST lol

At any rate, I’m not surprised that Zygarde’s Mega buff is a little different from the rest; they’re giving a Mega to a Pokémon that already changes its form mid-battle to achieve its full power, so I feel like its Mega was always bound to end up being a special case.

Mega Sableye getting Parting Shot could be the buff it needs to be OU in Gen 10 given it was not used that much in Gen 7. Offensive powercreep was huge in Gen 7 in conjunction with Mega Sableye's nerfs in burn damage being halved and Mega Evolution happening at the start of the turn, but having Parting Shot could help Mega Sableye reduce its passivity issues.

  • Meganium just doesn't get Fairy STAB other than Disarming Voice; Moonblast is a tutor move, but it's got no access to it. If it doesn't get Dazzling Gleam TM compatibility, then it's just completely cooked.
  • Light That Returns to Nothing is nowhere to be found. If not by learnset or as a tutor move, I really don't know what condition there would be to learn it.
  • Sableye gets Parting Shot. God help us all.

My main takeaways from the level-up learnsets are:

  • Meganium just doesn't get Fairy STAB other than Disarming Voice; Moonblast is a tutor move, but it's got no access to it. If it doesn't get Dazzling Gleam TM compatibility, then it's just completely cooked.
  • Light That Returns to Nothing is nowhere to be found. If not by learnset or as a tutor move, I really don't know what condition there would be to learn it.
  • Sableye gets Parting Shot. God help us all.
"Tutor Move" is an incorrect description- it refers to evolution moves, i.e. moves that the Pokémon will learn upon evolving. Bayleef has Giga Drain as a "Tutor" move and that's what we saw it learn upon evolving in gameplay footage from the demos over the last couple of months.

Dazzling Gleam and/or Mooblast will probably be a TM, and I'm sure Meganium will have access to it. We don't anything about TM compatibility yet.
