SPOILERS! Legends ZA Data Dumps - Adding Info to OP

Some believe it will be released right after Pokemon Day 2026 which seems a bit late IMO. Also makes one wonder if there will be only 1 part of DLC (Nothing says otherwise for now)... There's also Champions release in-between.

For now, we are missing offcial art for most of new Megas.
The date on the eshop, the day after Pokemon day, is just the latest possible day it will be out. The SV DLC went through the same thing.

Champions is part of why I think they would want it out before Champions since the timeline would be something like

Home update + Champions - Probably in January but even if February imo definitely before Pokemon day. Like you are using this thing for VGCs this year, I think you want to maximize the amount of time you have to play the format. Releasing it at the end of February or in march is really whittling away at that time!
Mega Dimensions + Another immediate update to Home + another immediate update to Champions - like what 2 weeks later?

Just seems like it would make more sense to put out Mega Dimensions, and then Home update & Champions release with all that ready to go.

I'd also say there's no reason to believe there's more parts to the DLC. SWSH & SV were up front about this and tera leak also iirc implies just one.

The only argument for 2nd DLC is that prior games had 2 parts of DLC for 30$ while now we only get one with only around 200+ new Pokemon in eacu DLC while both SwSh and SV DLC gave around 400+ new Pokemon combined.

But, if we are comparing. SwSh and SV dexes were much bigger than LZA dex.

The 28th is also Japan's un(?)official last day for Winter, so it's always this date for a "Winter 2024/2025" release. I think because it also coincidentally comes after Pokémon Day on the 27th is why it's questioned so much.

As for the amount of DLC, there is an insider on twitter stating there are 2 DLCs, however this could be a misunderstanding of either;

- The DLC being marketed as coming in 2 parts, meaning they consider the clothing DLC
- If they have genuine insider info, perhaps they've seen a mystery gift/patch outside of the DLC coming

They have gotten some things right before so there is some authenticity to what they're saying but eh, who knows.

Im just assuming that Hyperspace Lumiose will have the combined amount of stuff that dual DLC packs had in the past. It's a whole second Lumiose City apparently so it makes sense to me
Do you expect it to be as big as "Original" Luminose with like 20 Wild Areas? The number of Boss fight does not suggest it but who knows.

Given that there's like 80 new sidequests I imagine it'll be like 85% the size of what we have now - and then I imagine Hoopa's hoops justify legendary encounters unless they just opt to go with "hey groudon is in wild zone 5 go deal with it"
-

I do wonder if "Hyperspace Lumiose" will actually be Lumiose though - the way that the Hoenn starters / legends have been held back makes me think it might be a Hoenn city but maybe that's my wishful thinking.. idk

There is also a lot of Galar and Paldean mones so maybe there will be some zones or sth.

I would guess it would be close to that, but even if it’s not, the DLC will presumably come with new features, too, as the DLCs always do. And that’s where the value proposition gets sort of murky; what exactly is the dollar value of Restricted Sparring or the Item Printer?

For me the biggest challenge will be the level curve. Zygarde is lv 84, do we expect new Bosses (both rogues and Trainers) to be above lv 84? Will Trainers beat the magical level of 88?

I assume general challengers will be below this. Riff-raff will probably start around the mid to late 60s, same as in the royale, but might eek up towards the 70s by the end. Boss trainers will hover around the 70s. Early bosses probabl also the 70. Whatever the "final" bosses will be will probably get closer to the 80s. And then the true end cap might hover over that.

Darkrai, Zeraora and Heatran's stats leaked (mined?) from the beta build;

They broke my sis' Darkrai's legs and made her bulky..

Darkrai, Zeraora and Heatran's stats leaked (mined?) from the beta build;
M-Heatran +30 ATK, +45 SATK, +35 SDEF, -10 SPD

M-Darkrai +30 ATK, +40 DEF, +30 SATK, +40 SDEF, -40 SPD

M-Zeraora +45 ATK, +45 SATK, +10 SPD

Heights and Weights unchanged from what I can tell. Heatran says 4300 but its already 430.0kg so Im going with no change.
Typings don't change apparently, so no Electric/Fighting or Dark/Ghost.

Heatran and Zero Aura just become more of what they already were, Zero Aura having stats I always imagined something like Mega Infernape would have. If Game Freak wants to end the world they will give Heatran Levitate or Earth Eater to make up for no balloon lmao.

Heat and Dark both get an increase to a stat they don't use which people will no doubt be mad about but they do this when they clearly want to just dump stats somewhere else because they had some sort of specific stat range for Offense or Defense in mind. I think all three of these are likely very good megas just automatically, hard to make a 700 stat pokemon bad when the base forms are already very solid. No idea about VGC but all three of these are like consistent OU in several generations mons in singles.

Apparently the dex entries also got mined/leaked, might explain why Darkrai gets changed quite a bit into quite a tanky monster
inb4 Darkrai gets an absolutely insane ability lol

noteworthy thing about Mega Darkrai is that its Speed stat drops to the same exact value as Cresselia
also has the HP and Attack stats flipped vs it, probably intentional?
70/120/130/165/130/85 (700)

Cresselia's Special Defense also used to be 130 before they nerfed it...

I'd better write this post before more stuff gets datamined and ruins my jokes:

Here is my predicted list of the types of the DLC megas, assuming that GF wants to maximally upset the fanbase.

Chimecho: psychic/flying
Absol: dark/flying
Staraptor: fire/flying
Garchomp: ground/dragon
Lucario: fighting/electric
Heatran: fire
Darkrai: dark/water
Golurk: rock/ground
Meowstic: psychic/dark
Crabominable: ice
Golisopod: bug/flying
Magearna: steel
Magearna original color: fairy
Zeraora: electric
Scovillian: a morpeko thing where it switches between pure grass and pure fire
Glimmora: poison/grass
Tatsugiri curly: water/dragon
Tatsugiri droopy: water/dragon
Tatsugiri stretchy: electric/dragon
Baxcalibur: water/dragon

Mega Darkrai just makes me want a Mega Cresselia with massively buffed offenses now. Kinda surprised they’re seemingly giving it nothing but I guess it isn’t the first time they’ve ignored members of a pair (i.e. Butterfree before it got GMAX)
