I have a handful that I have great nicknames for. But I don't want to share them. Loll. [I take time and pride in nicknaming]


But a few that are some of my decent choices are;

I'm a big fan of Greek gods, and such I use their names.

Zapdos - Horus, one eyed bird god.
Gyarados - Sekhmet, god of destruction. except it's meant to be a lion-headed girl.
Nidoqueen - Taweret, the great female.
Heatran - Hephaestos, god of fire and metalworking. how fitting.
Electiver - Thor, god of thunder.

I used to use the same name for my Heatran (Hephaestos, not Dr. TRan I mean).

Frostitute is awesome.

Nah, Azelf shouldn't be Kuraz...doesn't fit the bill. Make Garchomp Dimension Fusion or Dark Armed Dragon(perhaps DMOC) and Raikou would be Kuraz. Maybe Deoxys-E=Kuraz because it is so motherfucking fast.

I ended up making an Astronomy-themed team a while back, and it's probably still the most well-named team I've ever made. Probably not the best team as far as winning games is concerned, but I'm still pretty happy with it.

Swampert - Hale-Bopp. Named after the comet of the same name. Comets are made of ice and dirt (This particular Swampert has an Earthquake/Avalanche/Counter/SR moveset.), and much like the comet I named it after, this particular Swampert gets things to kill themselves.

Ursaring - Callisto. Named after a nymph in Greek mythology who was transformed into a bear, and later became the constellation Ursa Major.

Gallade - Arcturus. Named after the star of the same name which, in Greek mythology, was placed in the sky by Zeus in order to protect the nearby constellations of Ursa Major and Ursa Minor.

Moltres - Ankaa. Named after the brightest star in the Phoenix constellation.

Cresselia - Sycorax. Named after a moon of Uranus which, in turn, is named after a character from Shakespeare's The Tempest described as a witch so powerful that she "could control the Moon".

Blissey - Calabash. Named after the Calabash Nebula, also known as the Rotten Egg Nebula. (It's a WishBliss with Toxic.)

As far as random names, Donphan named Lollephant, a shiny Vaporeon named "I'm A Ditto", and on Shoddy I tend to use Shiny Machamps called either Jolly/Adamant Green Giant, depending on the nature.

And I generally name standard Blissey/Garchomp "Unexpected".
