And I take it you aren't considering Big Root for the Leech Seed set, and that if you did, Giga Drain would be far too weak despite its bonus from Big Root?
Nope, my main issue is just with a third attack (Earthquake/WH) over protect
Note that Gastrodons are much more useful in UU stalling teams than Golem.
a team based around U-Turners should NOT and I repeat NOT!!! involve choicers, if you U-Turn into a choiced pokemon with U-Turn they must then use U-Turn.

Scizor is in my opinion one of the best U - Turners in the game. It gets STAB, and I love using Choice Band on it, especially. It also stops seeders, but Scizor gets a 4x resist to Grass, the type seeders are.

So, y'all are familiar with the Japanese Shaymin event happening July 19th through September 30th, yes? Well, I've been given an interesting opportunity... my brother and his Japanese girlfriend are going to Japan July 13th / 14th meaning I might be able to have them participate in the event for me.
So, let me be a little brief and ask the relevant questions... she wants to know the exact details of what she'll have to do, so I'm hoping for somebody that's familiar with how the Japanese events happen to answer a few questions.
First, will they be able to buy the pre-order tickets in, say, a local book store?
Second, it's my understanding that Regigigas will be distributed in the store with the pre-order ticket and Shaymin at the theater. Will these both be receivable simply with the Mystery Gift function? (IE, they don't do anything tricky / surprising there, right?)
I suppose if nobody here really knows the answers, knowing where I could go to find these answers would also be quite helpful.
(I know the other sticky point is I need a japanese game for the event, but I've already overnighted a Japanese Pokemon Diamond. If I'm sufficiently pleased, I'll probably follow up with a Japanese Pokemon Pearl.)

Save it in your comp, then add it from there?

I was wondering about how the tiers were decided. What type of testing goes into making up the tiers? Like Wobbuffet is currently in the Limbo Tier and I noticed some Ubers were moved out. How would you test Pokémon to find out if they should be moved?
Like say I wanted to take an UU and test it out to be bumped up to say BL or if I had an UU and wanted to test it out to bump it down to NU?
And why does Smogon not have a NU Tier? I think with grouping them all into the UU tier it creates a sudo OU tier within the UU tier. Some Pokemon you would never use in an UU themed tournament, so why not create 2 tiers?

The testing goes on mostly over things like Shoddy, where things like Deoxys-S and Wobbuffet have been tested. Look at places like the Policy Review where a lot of discussion relevant to the tiers takes place. As for the difference between BL and UU there's a Sticky for discussion about it, so if you have an issue with a pokemon in UU or BL bring it up there.
There isn't an NU yet because a lot of discussion about UU is still going on, and until UU is finalised there can't really be any discussion about NU.
