I agree with Jabba. Besides, tournies usually give a day or 2, then start subbing people out. Deciding by coin flip is really only done as a last resort.

And if it was by activity (alluded to in your other thread), both of us are very active smogon members, so I'm not quite sure how that outcome was determined. =/

Okay, but that still doesn't explain the stituation with Jabba or myslef, who are both very active members. If you want to get techincal, I pmed Kira about a battle, which he rejected.

Obv, Time Zones make it very difficult to get these matches done. Smogon Tournies have always put the coin flip as a last resort, not just fired off wildly.

In the circumstances, it would have been much better to do (Kira vs Puggy) Vs Taylor, which works very effectivly. You can't just rush in and do a coin flip.

And if you're going to just get up and do a half assed job at managing a tourney (eg. Know you will be away but still do it anyway), please reconsider in the future as it is unfair to the players.

Obv, I'm fairly angry about this, so I expect to be given a satisfying answer.
 
If Kira and puggy want to finish their match then I'm fine with that, as it doesn't bother me who I play.
 
Farg. I'll PM Aldaron now I guess - I've been playing my team on Shoddy and it's quite good - I win a fair amount of battles.
 
Seriously, you had 2 fucking weeks to figure it out. If you're such active members of the community, you would have started since day 1 the pairings came out as oppose to procrastinating til the last hours to try to attempt to get it done and then pull off some halfassed rant. Not to mention, there are many, many, many tournies where the host has to be gone for a few days. Tournaments span over the course of roughly 2 months. No one plans their lives 2 months in advance so give it a fucking break.

I have to say I am upset that you would flame me...if you really wanted to get that done you would have, but there are DEADLINES. This is a prime example of why you do not wait until the last minute to do anything.

Mystica hadn't been around for a while, so when she popped back in we figured we could get our battle done today...you know, the deadline.
 
Posting May 13th as the deadline means that it has to be done by 13th May 23:59pm before 14th May...

I always assumed this as the case?
