1. No, and most prefer auto-level 100, like auto-level 50 you speak of.
2. Letting you know if Mirage Island is visible or not.

If you have a max stat in a stat-boosting nature, the stat will be too big to be in the max stat in a normal nature. And usually, the - stat is lower than the lowest normal stat of a neutral nature. But I suppose your way works as well, just about 4 times as long.
 
Ok ok....

I have a male Absol with perfect IVs but the wrong nature, and I want to get a Absol with perfect IVs and adamant nature... So how would I get that using a perfect IV male absol and a Adamant ditto holding an ever-stone.

If I use a really weak pokemon and catch Lugia in the Master Ball I got from Professor Krane, it only takes a little while--especially since I got the purification chamber hooked up nicely.

You breed the Absol with the Ditto, until getting a female Adamant Absol with some perfect IVs. Then, replace the Ditto with the female Absol and give her an Everstone. Breed until getting a better IVed female Adamant Absol. Keep the process up of replacing the female with better IVed females, and eventually, you should have an Adamant Absol with the IVs you want.

In the case of a not-perfect father, you just keep replacing males and females as you go along, instead of just the female.

Ok how long will that take? I know you can't actually predict how long but estimate.

1-20 days of constant breeding. My second Omanyte project took about three weeks to finally breed, and I had an awesome father to start out with, just of the wrong species. (I forget if it was Lileep or Kabutops.)
