What you do on the computer

i mostly watch movies, talk on aim, and listen to music but now and again i visit this site and check whats up with wifi section, also like to learn about unimportant stuff when i am bored online
 
I hope this whole thread doesn't get filled with "Pornography=Fun!"

Usually I just check my emails, go on Youtube and listen to music or look up amazing basketball moments. I go to Facebook, Smogon, and sometimes google songs I could play on my guitar. I don't go on the internet that often, only when I have nothing to do. Like RIGHT NOW!!!

But I'll still miss the internet if it went away.
 
Nothing out of the ordinary. I like to chat on MSN/irc, read comics, watch stuff (I watch a lot of House M.D. on my computer), sometimes I mess in photoshop and game (but very rarely).

I clicked on this thread and expected to see a bunch of "The Internet is for Porn" posts =(

Chat/debate in forums on various subjects, browse yahoo! answers on subjects that interest me, listen and look for new music on Youtube, download that music via Limewire for my Ipod, browse online store websites for things I might want and research various things that I'm curious about (Animal Crossing Wii is coming out when??).
 
there's only 5 websites i really ever use. And I manage to never be bored ;p

smogon, yahoo sports, facebook, youtube, last.fm.

Other things I do are irc, msn, shoddy and listen to music.

If you find you are bored on the computer, that means you are on the computer too much, which means you need to go get a job or get some friends to hang out with!
 
I go to smogon, #smogon, and another forum. I do shoddy battle occasionally, I sometimes play random computer games and I'm often on msn/aim. When I'm getting bored I go watch some anime (read:fma) but I am far from an anime fanboy.
I used to mess with photoshop a lot but I figured I suck at it so I don't do it anymore.

I used to be bored a lot, but now I am usually not and when I am I go do something else like watch tv, read, and I would play on my DS if it didn't break a couple of days ago :/

I usually can't get myself to go do something 'big' like making a shoddy battle team, which tends to render me semi-bored. Does anyone else have that, that they just can't be bothered to type up a huge post or do something else that is time consuming when they are bored?
 
Interesting.

I use Internet for Smogon and Shoddy, of course, as well as Facebook, AIM, WoW, Youtube, and the very rare Runescape (I have to be just THAT bored) or Guild Wars (or lazy enough to keep rerolling a PvP noob character). Oh, and music too.

AIM and Facebook are good excuses to get outa the house to get a social life!
 
Logic 8 and other DAW's. I'm always recording music and making songs of all genres on my combuter. Its basically a big music tool.
 
XFire, Star Wars Battlefront 2, NetBattle, Posting on forums including Smogon, and IRC if I'm feeling lucky.
 
I enjoy staying up to date with the curent news (politics, pokemon, the game industry, and other random stuff). I also do alot of browsing sites for "shopping" even though i never actually buy stuff. (I just like to see what there is)

I also come on here (obviously), youtube, occasionally facebook, and check my email.

non internet stuff includes art in photoshop etc, recording songs, gaming (very rare and even then its like a flash game or something), and just recently I've been spending alot of time in the spore creature creator :D

My computer is almost always on, if for nothing else, so there is always music playing.
 
Smogon, IRC, Facebook, comics, Shoddy, news (mostly politics and stuff, so i can stay caught up), music, the occasional movie, my email (which i check about once or twice a week).

i can live off of just a few websites. smogon (pokemon), yahoo news (politics and science), break (funny videos of stupid people), airsoftextreme (to look at guns), and when im really bored, i go to wikipedia and type in random words and start clicking the links until something interesting pops up.
 
I check Smogon, email, various webcomics, various music blogs/sites and get up to date on all the sports news via espn.com. I chat in #smogon on IRC almost daily. I also do some fantasy sports stuff be it march madness or hockey. Sometimes I check out shoddy/nb but I'm not big into competitive battling anymore.. at least not to the extent I would need to be to stay a step ahead of the metagame trends. Then of course I get all of my music thanks to my computer. That's usually it.
 
What I do on the computer?

I write stuff (right now it's Pokemon related stuff) because I want to become a better writer. I draw because I want to become a better artist. I read because I want to know what's going on (magazine/articles)

I'm slowly taking my time away from Smogon and beginning to concentrate more on the above activities. But yeah, I do nearly everything I want to do on the computer. It's a very useful tool :)
 
I feel like 90% of you only use your combuter for internet purposes. Photo Shop and video game are the only semi interesting things herr.

Doesn't any one else spend there time time with Final Cut, Avid, Pro Tools, Gaming Engines, anything but the internet? Anything creative?
 
I use the computer to talk to my girlfriend, check my email, and um.. Forums? Nothing else really.
