Wi-Fi Team - OU

My last team wasn't working well, at all. I decided to make a new team.

------------------------------------------------------------------

Lead:
heatran.png

Heatran @ Life Orb
Nature: Hasty
80 Atk, 252 Sp.Atk, 176 Spd
Ability: Flash Fire
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Fire Blast
- Explosion

My main sweeper. Dragon Pulse is obviously for the Dragons, but only when i predict their switch in. I'd normally switch in something else against the Dragons, anyways. Hidden Power [Electric] helps against those stupid Water types that think they can switch in on me, and annihilates Gyarados. Fire Blast gets STAB and kills Skarm, Bronzong, and the Magnezone thinking they can trap me and survive a hit to Hidden Power [Ground] me. Explosion for if the situation is getting a bit sticky.

Physical Sweeper and Earth Blocker:
gyarados.png

Gyarados @ Life Orb
Nature: Jolly
6 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spd
Ability: Intimidate
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Ice Fang
- Waterfall

Intimidate works great, as it takes away the power of Gyarados' mean counter moves, Stone Edge and ThunderPunch. The EV set is standard. I chose Life Orb over Lefties because Life Orb gives me more pure power to OHKO foes. Dragon Dance is obvious, Stone edge for other Gyarados and to dint Starmie, and Ice Fang for fliers and Celebi. Waterfall gets STAB and destroys Infernape.

starmie.png

Starmie @ Leftovers
Nature: Timid
252 Sp.Atk / 252 Spd / 6 HP
Ability: Natural Cure
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Surf
- Rapid Spin

My Rapid Spin Special Sweeper. It gives me Toxic Spikes and Stealth Rock coverage (even though TS isn't abother thanks to Blissey and Aromatherapy), so none of my Pokémon get hurt. Thunderbolt kills Gyarados, Ice beam kills Salamence and Garchomp, and Surf kills Infernape and Blaziken. Basically, great coverage!

infernape.png

Infernape @ Life Orb
Nature: Naive
24 Atk / 252 Sp.Atk / 232 Speed
Ability: Blaze
- Flamethrower
- Grass Knot
- Close Combat
- Hidden Power [Ice] 63

Great for type-coverage. The EV spread works perfectly, making Close Combat a more useful move to use. Flamethrower gets a boost from STAB, and works great against Skarmory and Bronzong. Grass Knot deals with Swampert, and inflicts Neutral damage to quite a lot of other Pokémon, too. Hidden Power [Ice] for Garchomp and Hippowdon.

heatran.png

Heatran @ Leftovers
Nature: Modest
40 HP / 252 Sp.Atk / 216 Spd
Ability: Flash Fire
- Dragon Pulse
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power

Great for Sweeping. It makes Blissey and Infernape think twice about switching in! I love it when it gets a Flash fire boost - aah, good times. Great coverage. Fire Blast kills Blissey anyway and Explosion kills me too, so i like ScarfTran for outspeeding Dragons and KILLING THEM. May replace Ice with grass for better Type coverage.

gyarados.png

Gyarados @ Life Orb
Nature: Jolly
252 Atk / 252 Spd / 6 HP
Ability: Intimidate
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Stone Edge
- Dragon Dance

Late game sweeper. I prefer Jolly over Adamant so I can outspeed the speedy. Dragon Dance works brilliantly with this set - then again, Dragon Dance works brilliantly ALL the time. Earthquake kills Infernape and Tyranitar, Ice fang for Dragons, and Stone edge for other Gyaras.

I love Gallade, and have tried using him as a lead myself. That being said, I know you hate Gengars, but if you're leading with Gallade, you might want to consider lum berry instead to avoid all those leads that would try and put him to sleep. Just a suggestion, but I'd try fitting Shadow Sneak into his moveset somewhere. The combination of Close Combat and Shadow Sneak isn't resisted by anything, and a once SD'ed Shadow Sneak does Damage: 108.81% - 127.97% to the standard Gengar.

On your deoxys, I would recommend running max speed and special attack for other deoxys and random scarfers, but wi-fi doesn't see as many deo-s' as shoddy I guess... I know it's timid, but recover on an all out sweeper doesn't seem fitting. Superpower is standard, but I don't know what kind of damage you'd be dealing with a hindering nature. And why the HP evs? Was it already like that when you got it? Because if it's not, then I would suggest placing them elsewhere. What does Deo survive with those hitpoints that he doesn't normally?

Mix-ape is a great poke. Just an oppinion, but I'd at least try hp ice over nasty plot unless you just don't want to take the time trying to breed for it. It helps net the occasional kill against Gliscors or Garchomp switching in on you for whatever reason. If not, it's fine as it is.

The Mence set is different, but DDSalamence is a good late game sweeper. Without stone edge or rock slide, you're not capable of doing very much damage to Gyarados or opposing Salamences. Earthquake already takes care of most steels, so what else is brick break hitting besides Blissey/other normal types? I'd suggest trying Life Orb over yache berry seeing as a really powerful or STAB'ed ice attack might still kill mence off. Especially if rocks are in play.

Hope this helped, just thought I'd give some suggestions.

This team actually looks better than that last one, congrats. First thing is that I suggest you take off the Yache Berry off the Salamence there, because without a Rapid Spinner, and taking hits from SR by 25% in each switch in, and you want to let it take some Ice Beam's, it's not gonna work. I would just put a Leftovers for the Item really, or you can keep Yache Berry, but I don't think it's right that want it to function like Garchomp. Stone Edge > Brick Break, this isn't a MixMence, so I don't see you beating Blissey any time soon. I would also, like fetal brute reccomend to pack HP Ice on MixApe, well if possible since it's Wi-Fi, because you'll have more coverage and I don't see much set ups with the fast pace metagame we have now, specially with a fragile pokemon, and can actually defeat opposing Salamence. HP Ice > Nasty Plot, and I would pack a Expert Belt on him so you hit harder, since now you have a more diverse movepool.

If it's possible, try to get Superpower on Deoxys for Blissey that might try to annoy you. To be honest, if you had a Starmie, why did you switch it? Toxic Spikes kills you, and SR kills Salamence, and this are very common, so I don't really see Deoxys working here, you might aswell go back to Starmie. Starmie can take blows from opposing MixApe and Gyarados very well, and can actually handle Mamoswine somewhat, although I don't feel safe with Weavile. Weavile can actually be problems for this team, it takes on Gliscor with ease. What I would recommend is you running a Bulky DD Salamence, should look something like 252 HP / 220 Def / 32 Atk, it will propably be hard to get, but it's the only thing to do without switching around much really. With that, replacing Gliscor with a Bronzong would be ideal, since with Salamence you can handle Heracross and Lucario, so there is no need for it. Another alternative can be switching around Gliscor for Skarmory, and atleast try to predict the CB Close Combats with Skarmory + Salamence, since it's a 2HKO sadly, and Lucario OHKO's skarm after a SD with CC aswell.

A Sword Danced Psycho Cut OHKO's a Gengar, and Shadow Sneak isn't as good as people say it is.

It's what the Smogon Pokédex recommended. Go on www.smogon.com and then go on Pokédex, then look at Deoxys-S. I may change it though...

I'll consider it, thanks.

Shadow Sneak is a fantastic and actually underrated move. It helps in the pounding of Cresselia, even tho it still doesn't do much damage. I don't know, Psycho Cut and X-Scissor covers everything that Shadow Sneak would and more, so keep it. Psycho Cut grabs the KO on Weezing, and it actually hits Dusknoir harder than Shadow Sneak anyways. X-Scissor hurts Cresselia and Celebi more. However, you may not want to take that huge hit from Gengar, and many just Hypnosis anyways to keep those Gallade's with HP EVs away.

That's why i changed his item to Lum Berry >.>

I just checked Infernape's Hidden power Type, and it was Ice 63! What pot luck!

I changed Bronzong back to Gliscor - Gliscor works better in my opinion.

Well I use a similar gallade as my lead but with stone edge and shadow sneak over psycho cut and x scissor. Psycho cut will really only help you with weezing and physical walls that resist close combat, which you are usually going to be losing to anyways.

And shadow sneak > psycho cut because of the priority. You're going to need to go first against things like Gengar, Azelf, and deoxys if you want to be doing any kind of damage at all. Also stone edge is great because after a swords dance and intimidate it is a OHKO on gyarados and salamence.

I also agree with Venom that Starmie would be a bigger help than deoxys because it will help you against mixape and it can rapid spin.

Other than that your team looks pretty solid.

With kasib berry and psycho cut, you really shouldn't have a problem with gengars that switch in to try and shadow ball you to your death. However, as you have already changed his item to a lum berry (which is better when leading with him as far as I'm concerned) I had merely suggested shadow sneak for leading gengars. Go ahead and keep what you're currently running, I just wanted to better explain my logic.

Really nice surprise with the fairly high hidden power on Infernape. Some people get all the luck. :( lol

Good luck with this team!

Here nice team but moves sucks no offence ....here you can replace Gallade's attack to be more in Offence lik with Close Combat,Ice Punch,Physco Cut and Night Slash...and also giving him/her a Choice Scarf,Choice Ban or a LO(life orb) but if you're going to choose LO or choice ban it's best you give him a different Moveset like Shadow Sneak,Hypnosis,Sword dance and Close Combat.Glisor isn't that bad once you got right move set like this Icy fang,EQ(EarthQuake),Sword Dance and Roost or Maybe a flying attack and throw Life orb for item
this will go great after Gallade used Hynosis and Put the opponent to sleep may give you 50% chance of getting of atleast one sword dance if the opponent is dumb enough to keep his/her current pokemon in....well eveything else is good and for Salamence you can make a him a choice scarf dragon,Choice ban or Choice specs if you choose Choice ban Or Choice Specs be sure to put him on Hasty nature....like mine is choice scarfe with Fire Blast,EQ,Dragon Rush or Dragon Claw and and Stone Edge.....Hope i helped
