CAP 5 CAP 5 - Part 2 (Primary Typing Poll 1)

1.) Rock
2.) Steel

Pretty obvious where you could go with both of these types. I also think a rock type would be really interesting to add to the CAP Pokemon that we currently play with in terms of type resistances. Solid choices here, and I actually wrote up something but it was what basically TAY had said already.

And really I trust the community to come up with something creative, the only thing that's being pushed on my part is the typing.

For those trying to keeping track, here are the top seven:

Rock - 37
Electric - 27
Dragon - 11
Steel - 11
Fighting - 6
Grass - 5
Psychic - 5

Also, people seem to be voting on type-pairings; this is just a primary type vote, not a vote for both of its types...

In the future, don't announce preliminary counts of bold-polls.

As for my vote:

Electric
Dragon

I feel these are the best choices as of now.

1. Rock
2. Dragon

Voted Rock to get this poll over with because it's obviously going to win. Voted dragon so it makes it into the secondary typing poll.

1. Fire
2. Rock

I'd like to see a (good) defensive fire pokemon. Sure we have torkoal, but he sucks. Then we have Heatran, but no one uses him to wall anyways. We can just give our guy a good second nature to make up for the bad weaknesses.

Rock for all the nice reasons listed prior to me. We could really use a speedy rock pokemon.

1. Rock
2. Dragon

As many others have said, a fast special rock would be nice to see. Of course, we could just end up with a fast rock, or just a special rock, or a fragile rock. Dragon for reasons others have said.

1 Grass
Time for some explanations which most people left out
I'm all into status immunties, I consider leech seed a status, not really used outside of Breloom and Celebi (Breloom is never used being weak to all 4 caps) but still an immunity is nice. And there are few grass types in OU. Grass does have 5 weeknesses but Bug, poison, fire, flying and ice attacking moves are just about never used by a pokemon not of that type

2 Steel
The best defensive typing and Toxic immune. Also good for concept, since just about all steel types are defensive and slow. A steel sweeper would be cool, Cap hasn't had a sweeper since Syclant

Just to let you know, if we make a grass type it won't have Leech Seed or any Powders to "break the mold".

Bandwagoning Electric and Rock. I don't want Dragon and those are the other two types that really have a mold.

Though maybe a bulky Dark type? Do we have that outside of Tar?

Spiritomb, Umbreon, Drapion, even Skuntank in UU (even though I know that's irrelevant).

I love how people are suggesting Physical Ghost (Revvy), Defensive Fire (Pyroak), and defensive Poison (Fidgit, Weezing, Muk, Tentacruel, almost any semi-common poison type besides Gengar). Reallly, I'm surprised I haven't seen something asking for a Special Bug Sweeper (Syclant) [actually, I have, but Spanky specified Bug/Ground].

Dragon
Fighting

Both of these as defensive pokemon. Dragon is self explanatory, while Fighting would give give it a bit of power with it's (hopeful) single move out of a defensive set
