Hehe, it proves that defining NU tier must be arbitrary, no doubt about it ;). Imagine Articuno in tier with SR banned (because of lack of Rapid Spinners :D) on that low level. But I'm really surprised with some of those pokemon, which are really good in UU (like Quagsire or Grumpig) and have percentage that low, that they could be NU. But on other side with those Claydols, Weezings, Clefables, Venusaurs, etc. being everywhere, it's not that surprising if you look at it...
why are we talking of creating a new in between tier for NU/UU. surely it would function fine just to put overpowered NU's back in UU?

Because tiers are based on usage, and BL tiers are based on power. So if the usage isn't enough to be in UU, it can't be in UU. However, if it overpowers NU, where's it going to go? The NU version of BL.
but i do not see the necessity of basing such an unpopular metagame on usage, when basing it on power would allow this whole task to be a lot easier to complete.

Hitmonchan? Sandslash? Cloyster? Torkoal? Armaldo? Where's the shortage there? And spinning would be a lot easier with only Sableye to block it.
vespiquen down to NU. really its moveset is crap and 4x stealth rock weakness and that in BL plz get serious
I said that about standard list, in which you can't find them. But if they'll go to NU, I don't see a big problem here. And the problem with those guys is that all of them are weak to SR except Sandslash and Hitmonchan (which isn't the most effective spinner...). And that's true with only one ghost, but if you predict wrong, they're just easier to kill with 75% hp (or 50% like with Delibird). It will end with having Rapid Spinner as a must, if you add in NU tier Stealth Rock, because so many pokemon are weak to it there. I don't like this idea. And I really like the idea of metagame, in which you don't have Stealth Rock, just to add it something unique. And I still say that with those many bugs it's too much to handle, especially with those 'spinners', which most of them are weak to SR (and we're not sure that they'll end in NU or not). I hope that in platinium we'll see Rapid Spin tutorial :P, because right now it's sometimes annoying.
With SR - I don't see any problem. Without it - it will be to hard to handle for NU pokemon. Defend order could make it almost impossible to take down without haze/roar/whirlwind.
True. And myself I really like the idea of metagame, where I can use to the fullest potential pokemon like Beedrill, which I really like or Mightyena.

I was wondering when we can start playing this metagame or something because we won't be going much of anywhere without playing and taking from the "BL" list to come up with a final list.

Keep your ignorant statements out of this thread, especially for a Pokemon you have never used with "crap" arguments as well.
I think maybe we should hold a gathering or tournament of some sort utilizing the list we already have so we can at least get a feel for what kind of metagame will develop. And then after, we can organize a better list, bring down whatever can be brought down, and make the tiers.
Ummm, yeah, Vespiquen is admittedly lackluster in UU, but mostly due to metagame choices of Steel types that wall things like her. In other environments (again...BL :3) she does wonderfully. Because she has a nice list of resists and good stats for even the things she's weak against, I'd actually find some way to sneak her on to an OU team because she poses quite a significant threat to several commonly used things (Breloom, Yanmega, choiced Heracross). No, it's not irrelevant, I'm just detailing why she doesn't get the justice she deserves in UU yet still being a pretty good Pokemon. I've written a whole block of text that I'll find and repost,

I agree with that... I was testing some NU teams and its kinda fun playing it, so a tournament sounds pretty interesting.
I see the interest would be quite high, or at least enough to make things interesting, so why not we hold a tournament? Obviously standard clauses will be in place, we'll use our current list without the disputed UU BLs, and I will also stress that Stealth Rock is banned. Afterwards, we'll have plenty more to discuss besides speculation and stats.

Does this mean Gorebyss is neverused?
No, Gorebyss is excluded because it would be too overpowered. Watch it make the NU Rain team with Seaking and sweep teams away, and it's essentially unstoppable. Just because it has relatively low usage in UU doesn't mean it's NU.
So is there any use for Luvdisc at all?
Seaking is superior in terms of sweeping, and weather-wise, there are so many more excellent candidates for the sun than rain.
According to that list posted by Garganator, Seaking appears to be the only real Rain threat in the tier. Plus I'd probably be more afraid of Tropius given how it 1-2HKOs practically everything after a Swords Dance.

Anyway I'd also like to see this tier become popular as I'm kinda bored with UU and OU at the moment.
