tyranitar has had outrage since GSC, as did charizard

what i find more disturbing is that it's a level up move for kangaskhan, and not just for platinum either:)
 
Outrage is pretty useless on anything that doesn't receive STAB for it. ie, Charizard, Kangaskhan, Tyranitar. Having an Outrage move tutor would be a horrible waste. And if they give Outrage to Salamence without upgrading Dragonite, or Flygon.. just wow.
 
Outrage Salamence would be more unpredictable than Gengar, and nearly as dangerous as Garchomp. Band? Specs? DD? Mixed? Mixed Specs? Mixed DD? Bulky? Support?

We've already established that we know what is and is not good for the metagame better than Gamefreak does. If we won't have flareon, luxray or so many other pokemon with decent movepools, we certainly won't get a move that could be great for coverage on most special pokemon.

Edit: Also, Ampharos still doesn't seem to have tail glow. What's stopping him? Balance Issues!?

It will be very, very, interesting to see what pokemon get these respective moves. Honestly I think it's more then we ever hoped for.

Some quick theorymon speculation:

Outrage: Salamence, Flygon, and maybe even Kingdra.
Magnet Rise: Metagross
Sucker Punch: I feel like this is a move that GF will make available to a number of pokemon. I dare say t-tar?
Gunk Shot: Victreebell just got leaf blade, why not gunk shot? Also tentacruel might get this for it's SD set!

I highlighted the ones that I bet we'll be spending most of of shards/pokemoney/battle points on.
 
i need help from you guys.
i really wanna play it but i dont wanna go through a game where i cant read.
is it worth downoading an emulator and the game really i mean you guys supplie me with all the info. what do you guys think is it worth it or should i wait for the english rom?

Gross already gets Magnet Rise.
Looks like there is still a reason for me to keep breeding. As long as Counter is not a tutor, I will still keep going on.

Anyways, they can't give Salamence Outrage! It will be nearly unstoppable, and don't tell me you can just switch in any steel because it 2HKOs most of them, including Heatran. I think the most fair thing to do would be giving Kingdra and Flygon Outrage, and who knows, with Garchomp gone, we can see some competition. A Dragon Dance set with Waterfall, Outrage, and Draco Meteor sounds pretty sick to me.
 
Vacuum Wave Alakazam. Hell yeah. No more Weavile ruining it's parade. It could even run Modest Nature sometimes (suck it, gengar >:| )

I can see a Calm Mind set gaining popularity, with CM, Vacuum Wave, Psychic, and Shadow Ball probably.


EDIT: @ Blasphemy1: Dragonite has Outrage, it won't be too difficult. But you're right, if Salamence gets Outrage it will probably be up for ban.

I am going to totally ignore the banning of salamence comment.
 
I LOVE that we got punches and such, as tutors, but i was hoping for more support/defensive options. Like the return of Counter, Seismic Toss, Soft-Boiled Etc. But im not complaining. Now lets just hope they let us teach these awesome new tutors to the pokes we want. OMG IM SO EXCITED :O
 
I'd love to see Outrage Kingdra. It really needs a second physical STAB, and Water/Dragon is only resisted by Empoleon.

And fuck yes Earth Power tutor! Now I just hope they give it to Entei to use alongside Eruption.

Why is that? Believe me, people will start complaining about Mence if it gets Outrage.

I think I'll be OK though. Porygon2 stops DDmence every time, even those with Brick Break. Outrage isn't too much more powerful.

And if it does get past P2, Weavile can still kill it. And Ice Shard won't miss either :naughty:
 
Jesus..If Salamence get's Outrage, I'll be predicting a lot of bitching and moaning from fellow smogoners about it for years to come. I also predict GF giving Sala Outrage just to tell people with Smogon mentality to fuck off.

Edit: Wishing for Earth Power tutor too, or even Aura Sphere lol
 
The last thing we need is every Emerald tutor showing its face in Platinum :( Those damn punches are enough as it is I think.
 
Salamence with Outrage would be beastly, but it is more easily handled thanks to Stealth Rocks, not having Sand Storm as an advantage, lesser special defense/HPs, and a little less base speed prior to Dancing (when compared to Chomp). Not to mention people will rarely be using his secondary STAB, unlike Chomp.

That said, giving Salamence Outrage would make Dragonite obsolete and make Flygon cry. Flygon really, really wanted Tail Glow, or Dragon Dance. :(
 
I'm interested in seeing who learns vaccum wave and magnet rise. I wish there was a recover,slack off tutor. Maybe synthesis will come to someone who needs it.
 
Anyone have calculations as to what a Modest +1 Alakazam does to Tyranitar with Vacuum Wave? Hopefully Starmie gets Vacuum Wave...

Mixed Azelf, omg... Zen Headbutt, Flamethrower, Explosion/Psychic, Vaccum Wave. LOL.
