By soccer, you mean football. Bitch. xD

Ah well, loyal Liverpool fan here *waits for Taylor's onslaught* and a proud one at that.

The start of the season has been a great one. (Man U can't say the same =P) Gerrard playing great and linking up with Torres which makes for a great attack.

I'm still lol'ing after Man City lost to Brighton. I fell off my chair when I saw that on BBC.com.

Support who ever you want - it doesn't bother me. If I've given off the wrong impression elsewhere, then let me know.

It is no different from last season. However, it won't be too long before we're winning games regulary. And let us not forget that two of the hardest Premier League fixtures are out of the way already, with plenty of away games with mediocre teams for the rest this year. Then the beginning of next year, most of our games are at home; ones that I hope we will win the majority of.

Yes, I do.

Today, United defeated Blackburn 2-0. Wes Brown scored a controversial header on the half-hour mark, and Wayne Rooney sealed the deal in the second-half with a wonder strike after Ronaldo squared the ball from the right-hand side of the box.

Reviewing the individual performences, no one really stood out today. There were a few sparks from Ronaldo, but I don't think anyone would argue that, excluding his pass to Rooney to set up the second goal, he played poorly. Constantly showing how petulant he has become when things don't go his way. I just hope he can pull himself together and give it his all.

i thought Tevez was assisted by Ronaldo in the attempt that hit the woodwork? Yeah, Ronaldo was pretty crap last night but you cant deny that whenever he DOES get his way, he is unstoppable. Last night was a perfect example. He could have set up two goals, which is more than enough contribution for any attacking minded player. Berbatov seems to have gelled up well for you guys.

I don't see what is all this fuss about with the Brown header. The Blackburn keeper decided to run straight into Vidic I think and tangled himself up. He didn't even judge the cross right in the first place.

On the other hand, great to see Brown scoring. I don't think I have ever seen him score a goal before.

Oh yeah and lol to Arsenal.

To be honest, Vidic did a Shearer on the keeper, he just got in his way and elbowed him accidentally. Should have been a free kick but the keeper did fuck up to an extent and misjudged the flight so it wasn't that obvious a free kick, only on the replay.

You know guys... There is only one footballer in this world: Michael Owen. He's my all time favourite and very good:D. Sadly, he bruises like a peach.....

Anyway, I guess this has been said multiple times before, but

This game is called football!

michael owen hasn't impressed me apart from that one solo run during the 98 world cup against argentina

I hate Luckypool.

I expected Aston Villa to put up a fight against a much weakened Chelsea team as well ._.

Hull City to win the Premier League! They have already have attained more points than Derby's entire total last season.

Despite what the majority at my work believe, I doubt Tottenham will be relegated this season. I know they're playing attrocious football and have the appauling figures to show this, but it is too early to be making assumptions that are as drastic as this. Tottenham are capable of playing outstanding football and have a handful of talented individuals, even though both Keane and Berbatov departed from the club, and I think they'll catch up with the top half of the table and put on a fight for a UEFA Cup spot.

Havak, you are, until further notice, the first in my Top 5 hated users. I mean, how the FUCK can you call Liverpool "lucky"? We were denied a sureshot penalty against ManC too (before the red card, which was a red card tackle either way). Resilient would be the more appropriate word imo!

Wayne Rooney bagged in two goals for England last night against Kazakhstan. Five goals in four games only proves further that Rooney is on top-form. Fantastic performence from Rooney and excellent news for United as we prepare for the up-and-coming League fixtures.

Incredible performence in the second-half as all five of England's goals were produced in it. I wasn't worried at the end of the first-half; it might have something to do with the fact that group stages in certain competitions don't excite me all that well. Still, another 3 points for England is a good result.

Yeah, great performances from Brown, Ferdinand, and Rooney last night. Lampard was good, but oh my lord why the hell are we still playing Steven Gerrard all the time? He was the worst player on the pitch by a mile last night. I only recall two of his passes actually making it to the desired player (crossfield to Walcott, and a lucky crossfield to Cole after a slip from a defender). Yet because of his "reputation" Gareth Barry got taken off instead, which almost lead to a goal for Kazak after Gerrard stopped tracking back. He doesn't do it for England, and more people should notice that. It's Lampard or Gerrard, and Lampard is first choice IMO. (Probably with Carrick once fit, or Barry).

Heskey was good and deserved a goal, but he can't buy one at the moment. Walcott kept pushing, as did Wright-Phillips but it just wasn't their night, Beckham was good when he came on. Upson was decent, and bar one mistakes Ashley Cole was alright too.

Decent performance in the end though, we should dominate this group.

Heskey can't score for shit, which is why we're lucky to have Rooney whom he coincidentally brings the best out of.

Wes Brown's crossing is probably better than Neville's atm and I can bet he will be 1st choice by 2010. Great assist for Rooney's first goal.

Wright-Phillips came on and did nothing except lose the ball, needs more composure, but I am happy for Defoe who is in good form and finally looks like taking that from club level --> international. Beckham's cameo was good - he still has the guile to beat a full back through his experience more than a drop of the shoulder ala 6 years ago but doesn't do it enough. He was turning it on yesterday - perhaps thankful of Walcott taking the spotlight off him on the right wing - and was beating his man and whipping in his crosses.

I am most excited about Rooney, he is in great form and is taking his chances and finishing instinctively, unlike parts of last season where he wasn't confident and just kept trying lobs and other speculative efforts cos he wasn't confident of beating the keeper 1 vs 1. He could finally realise his potential over the course of a season and net 30 goals if he continues like this. Having said that he'll do his metarsal next week ;__;

According to News Of The World, Manchester United are allegedly keeping a close eye on the 18-year-old Brazilian, Costa. Apparently Sir Alex is determined to sign the Brazilian striker, who currently plays for Gremio, as a possible replacement for Carlos Tevez; whose future at Old Trafford isn't finalized.

I'd rather cement Tevez's services at the club for years to come. I hope we can come to an agreement for a permenent contract.

Still, this is just a rumor, and one that has not been confirmed. Perhaps Tevez and United will come to an agreement at the end of the season to secure Tevez's services at Old Trafford.

Yeh, there's also rumors about us signing a 19 year old goalkeeper from Spain, who's seen as the natural successor to the current Spanish number 1, and would be our replacement for Van der Sar, who is retiring at the end of this season.

I'd like to see Tévez stay at Old Trafford, the money they're asking for is a bit much, but I'd still like for us to keep him.
