The First Wheneverual Safari Festival: Better Late Than Never

You said no platinum move tutors, but what about for azumarril (i think this would be the only example...), who can get ice punch in both generations and be caught in both generations?

Corrected myself and changed it, so that you can use Platinum move tutors only on Pokemon caught in third-gen that would learn that given Emerald move tutor move in that generation.

Alright that sounds fair. I do kind of like the idea of not trading with each other, even if it limits ourselves. That would make everyone actually go out and catch pokemon.

Actualy, I'm just gunna try this with my limited safari zones, just wondering though are safari pokemon in platinum such as tangela not allowed?

Correct; they are not allowed. Maybe if it's out in America in time, Platinum will be allowed for the Second Wheneverual Safari Festival.

I can't get into the Emeralde safari, it in japanese so I don't know what the guy is saying. =|

Looks like Diamond is all I have to play with.

Ok great, Im really stoked for this, great idea Lorak, I already have a Impish Quaggy with 31 hp!!
I'm glad to see such eager enthusiasm for this tourney.
Though I'm sure the prize is helping a bit as well.

You probably need a PokeBlock case. Lilycove City, Contest Hall.

nah tbh, while the prize is pretty sweet, its nice to have a different style, more relaxed type tournament.

Thats it =D I just rushed the game so i never got any of the items.

OK I'm defiantly wanting to do this now just got a Naive Starly with 27/28/23/x/22/2 I probs use it anyway =)

It's going to be very hard to catch some of these pokemon, scyther is rare and difficult to catch and you can't synch it =/. However I have two useable safarimon already...hopefully that will turn into 6 in 2 weeks
EDIT: i think you should allow people to trade FR/LG stuff to other people, not everyone has that game and the difficulty of catching useable pokemon there... in fact not everyone has emerald which is why it woulda been nice to have platinum stuff included

if we catch a pokemon in D/P that can also be caught in a previous generation safari zone could we get moves tutored on that can also come from emerald (like the punches?)

Yay! I'm so glad you got this up and running! :)
Can we catch Pokemon in Platinum? I don't know if it has any advantage, but Japanese names look cool.

Can I join this?
I might quit if I don't make a team in time.
Yes.

I'd really, really prefer not to allow trading of such to go on...

No:
15. Platinum moves/tutors are not allowed on Pokemon that do not: 1. come caught from third-gen, and 2. cannot learn that move or those moves from tutors in the third-gen. Sorry. D:
IS there still room for one more :O
Yes.

Sadly, no:
17. The following games are allowed for origins of Safari Ball-caught Pokemon: Ruby, Sapphire, Emerald, FireRed, LeafGreen, Diamond, Pearl.

dang alright :S
but if i catch it in leaf green and i don't have my emerald far enough for the tutors i can get it the punches correct?

I thought so. :)
Anyway, congrats on getting this up and running. I'm quite interested in joining.

Also, on a side note: as soon as the RNG gives me that Poochyena, I will be starting your Rotom project.
