Plat Punches can be tutored to either Ursaring, seeing as Teddiursa could learn them. But, pretend Shroomish was catchable in third-gen Safari Zone. That would mean no ThunderPunching Poison Heal Brelooms.

Hey Lorak, this tournament idea is very interesting. Could I possibly be added, to a sub list (Im guessing the 16 spots are filled up.)

I'm assuming I'm not on the first list, so can you make sure I'm on the "just in case" list?
Also, what do you think about a defensive Yanmega? It actually has a pretty good HP and defense base as well as packing a good amount of resistances. It does have to avoid that Pinsir/Rhyperior Stone Edge though... :(

Also, nice banner. I would only want a badge to put a banner in my sig. I still don't see why normal users aren't allowed.

Anyway, I should start catching now if I want any chance of success. I'm not the best battler, so I need to scope out common threads, max speeds, etc.
 
That's a good point. I didn't think of that.
I also wish we could use HTML/CSS to organize our posts, but that would get ugly with cookie grabbers and viruses embedded. It would get tricky if they attempted to filter that stuff.

Anyway, I'm beginning to spam again. (deja vu?)
I'm off to plan my victory. Or, you know, make it past round 1.

Didn't you read the epic literature in post one chronicling the catch? Oh, and using a Repel with a Pokemon whose level was high enough to block all Pokemon encounters except Exeggcute and Kangaskhan in Zone 3. I was hedging on the shiny being an Exeggcute, but... well, I ended up with that worthy prize.

I read the epic literature, its just I only manged to capture 4 in 3 games, they just alway run away from me. =(
 
Phew! I just compiled a spreadsheet with all the final evolutions qualified for the Safari Festival. It lists their Max Neutral, Max Positive, and Standard stats.

I've completed Max Neutral and Max Positive attack, sp.attack, and speed. Now I need to put in standard stats, then move onto HP, defense, and sp.defense.

I'd be willing to provide this list for everyone, but I would have to upload it and I'm too lazy. :P

I'll tell you this, after also listing what moves/natures they can't use, some Pokemon like Roserade and Heracross really lost a lot.
 
Here's my list of catches for the day:

Adamant Starly: 16 - 19 / 22 - 26 / 9 - 12 / 18 - 21 / 27 - 30 / 31
Lonely Dry Skin Croagunk: 23 - 26 / 19 - 23 / 20 - 24 / 31 / 16 - 19 / 28 - 31

Nothing too spectacular, but then again, I've only been at it for a day now. I like the looks of the Croagunk. Any use for a mixed attacker? It still has Nasty Plot and Swords Dance available, as well as Vacuum Wave via Tutor. The Starly is decent, but if I did use it, I would probably Choice Band it, making that not perfect attack almost not matter.
