I was wondering-why isn't EQ used on Heracross? Besides beeing a great move generally, it also helps against Poison-types, who resist both of it's STAB moves. I know Weezing has Levotate to doudge it, but what about Muk, Nidoqueen/king or Tentacruel?

Because Tentacruel gets hit hard by Heracross anyway, and Muk/the Nidos are almost never seen in OU. It's better coverage without it.

How much attack is required to kill standard offensive salamences with Ice Shard, factoring in stealth rock and sandstorm but not STAB or Intimidate.

I don't know what evs salamences run these days.

I think it depends on which Pokemon's faster, but I think Ice Shard will always go first, so I could be wrong =/.
you do realize... you just put two different answers lol

and go with Lorak's his is right, the faster Pokemon hits first, if the Ice Sharder is faster and therefore goes first, Sucker Punch will fail

252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Atk @ Naive

SuperPower OHKOs Blissey, Dark Pulse OHKOs Azelf even w/ focus sash, Ice Beam OHKOs Gliscor and Flamethrower OHKOs Scizor and Foretress, while the Speed lets you outspeed things like other Tyranitar and OHKO them with SuperPower.

Let me explain the power items.

Say you battle a Magikarp, which gives +1 speed. If you attached Power Anklet, which adds 4 speed EVs, you would get 5 speed EVs per Magikarp killed.

So yes, for every Pokemon battled. It cuts down on EVing time, big time. :)

First ever post!

I am kind of a newb here, how do I check my standard ladder ranking?

If you want the top of the ladder rankings click on this hyperlink. If you click on each of the metagames you can see the top 50 battlers in each one.

If you want to find your own actual ranking type into the shoddy text bar:

/record yourname

but obviously replace "yourname" with your actual username

Choice Banded Tyranitar would be really a fine lead, and it's quite good against Aerodactyl.

From my experience, it fails against Tyranitar. Sandstream doesn't break Sash, and EQ from Aero 2HKOes unless you're really bulky. Bronzong works well, immunity to EQ and resistance to Rock Slide, plus Gyro Ball to kill it. Won't stop it from setting up rocks though.

Does damage round up, or just when the number in the tenths place is 5 or up? Thought I heard it always rounds up, but just want to make sure.

For instance, something does 20.52% - 24.43%, does that round down to 24 like usual or up to 25 for some reason?

Golden rule in pokemon: numbers are always rounded down(as far as I know)
EDIT: I checked the Damage formula, and used ctrl+F with "rounded"; a lot of results, and all followed bij down
