Can you give me a list of the items on the checklist? I don't actually have ShoddyBattle...
-Evasion Clause (Double Team/Minimize Fail)
-Extended Game (Allow Arceus and unreleased berries)
-Freeze Clause (Two Pokemon cannot be frozen on a given team)
-Item Clause (No two Pokemon on a Team can hold the same item)
-Level Balance (Supposedly balances out stats by setting each Pokemon on each team's level by their stats at that level. It plays really strangely IMO)
-Little Cup Clause (All Pokes Level 5)
-OHKO Clause (OHKOs fail)
-Random Battle (Teams are randomly generated)
-Sleep Clause (No two pokemon can have sleep inflicted onto them in each team)
-Soul Dew Clause (No Soul Dew)
-Species Clause (No two of the same Poke on a team)
-Strict Damage Clause (Attacks do not display overkill. Not really important, really.)
-Timed Battle (Both you and your opponent have a certain amount of time that you lose by default if you run out of it. Time is boosted when certain events occur.)

Thats all.

Hey all. So I've recently gotten this Shiny Mild Motres with these IV's:

28-29 / 28-29 / 0-1 / 25 / 23 / 18-19

I was thinking about using the Scarf-Lead set, but in the analysis, it suggested 40 EV's allocated to Def, so my question is which stat should I put those 40 EV's into, especially since Moltres's Def is about as low as it can be? I was thinking about putting it into either HP or Speed instead but wasn't sure.

I would say Speed, to make up for the lose of 31 IVs on Speed. But thats just me

My question is about when Shiny chances are determined on eggs. Are they determined along with the gender and ability, or can you soft reset for them like you can for the IVs?

Shiny chances are determined along with gender and ability. Only the IVs change every time you reset the game.

Hustle: Does it reduce the accuracy of all moves by 20%, or does it just reduce all things more accurate than 80% to 80%? The word "average" got me mildly confused. Also, do Wide Lens or Gravity effect the accuracy of a hustler? I bet it sounds stupid to ask, but I don't know, so I'd thought I'd ask.

Hustle reduces the accuracy of all physical moves by 20%. I'm quite sure that wide lens works on the hustler, not sure about gravity though.

Also, can someone explain Me First to me? I understand exactly how it works in 1v1, but I never have got it to work in 2v2 (I've only tried it twice, to be honest), so I was wondering the precise explaination on it.

Did you look at the move description? What's not clear?

When you think "Tyranitar" and "rotom counter" together... what EV spread comes to mind? I'm looking for suggestions... Something like

180 hp/252 Spatk/70-something speed?

Not sure about nature either...

Thanks for help! =0

Ah, thanks Haunterfan. Yeah, I forgot to actually look at Smogon's move description. I read about it other places first, and forgot to check the site. Silly me.

Blast. I was hoping I could soft reset for a shiny egg. That really makes me a sad man.

Alrighty, thank you very much. When I read about Gravity's effect on accuracy, I was thinking about making a Gravity team, so I thought I'd ask about Hustlers.

Indeed you can soft reset for a shiny. Just save in front of the daycare man then hatch the egg, if it's shiny, then simply soft reset until you get the desired IVs. Obviously you have to repeat the aforementioned passage until you hatch the shiny egg, and hopefully with the right nature\ability. The problem is getting a shiny egg (and it's even harder to get a shiny egg with the right nature ability), but technically you can soft reset for shiny eggs.

Not really. Getting a shiny egg should involve no soft resetting, as you can't SR to the moment before the shiny egg is created.

What you do is you save before you get every egg, then hatch it. If it's a shiny, SR until you like the IVs you got. If not, then throw it out and try again.

2500th post, bitch.

That is what I said. Repeat the "save and hatch passage" until you get the shiny egg, then start soft resetting.

Yeah, but I was just hoping that I could get the shinies without having a full box of whatever Poke. I may be patient, but I'm not that patient. Short of having a miraclous save spot one step away from the egg being created.

None the less, thanks for you guys' helpful answers.

About hustle, it reduces the acc. of a move by 20% of the current acc.
So if you had an 80% acc. move it would now be 64% (instead of 60%).
Wide lens does effect the accuracy.
Gravity doesnt effect accuracy, it effects evasion. So yes it does work, and it would lower the evasion by 2. So, generally speaking, any move over 60% acc. will hit as if it was 100%.
As a final note, hustle only effects physical moves, so both specials and neutral moves arent effected.

Hope that helps

Oh, I knew Hustle only boosts Physical moves, but I thought that it effected the accuraccy of all. Thank you.

Yeah, but I was just hoping that I could get the shinies without having a full box of whatever Poke.
By the way, you can always just say NO to the old man when he tries to give you an egg, so you won't have a full box of whatever Poke. I.e. save in front of old man, get the egg, check its nature/ability. If it's not good, just reset and then talk to the old man and tell him you don't want the egg and then run around until another egg appears and repeat. But yeah, locking in on a shiny will take a ridiculously long time unless you're pretty lucky.
