Which is more important, Hit points or Defense?

Are they both equal?

Example
Attack#1 vs. high Def = 300 HP remaining

Attack#1 vs low def + high HP = 300 HP remaining

If I understand correctly, you are basically asking if investing evs into hp or the defense stats increases a pokemon's survivability more. The answer is that it depends. The general rule is that if you have more base hp stat, investing in the defenses is more worthwhile (ie Blissey) but if your defenses are higher than your hp, investing in hp is more worthwhile (ie shuckle).

You would probably like x-act's ev calculator: http://users.smogon.com/X-Act/defense.html

3 questions on pkm tiers

1. How can floatzel be NU? Its the fastest swift swimmer!
2. Garchomp is uber, I can understand that. What I can't understand is why salamence isn't uber
3. Any idea if manaphy and latios are gonna be OU?

What's the policy on little brothers who erase game saves? -_-

Once I have finally got the national dex, I'm thiking of becoming a breeder, rather than a competitive battler, just wanted to clear something up.

If an action replay code is used to capture a pokemon (for example, a bulbasaur) that pokemon is not legit. Is that correct?

1) UU\NU are determined by actual usage
2) Garchomp has been tested and voted uber, Salamence hasn't (until now at least). And anyway, you can't compare them for several reasons.
3) Manaphy will be voted soon, Latios has been voted uber.

Yes.

1. NU tier is defined by usage. it wasn't used enough in UU for it to actually be UU.

2. Garchomp had amazing defenses and could take priority well, while not much could survive a +2 Outrage. Salamence is equally powerful, but there are too many checks(namely scizor with Bullet Punch, who is #1 in usage). It's defenses are good, but can be manipulated easily. Also the Stealth Rock weakness is offsetting.

3.Latios is Uber, and Manaphy will be decided soon.

EDIT: Haunter beat me too it. I'm too slow ;)

How can I get a Porygon 2 with Tri attack and download at level 50?

You can get one from a generation 3 game, where it learns it at level 36. The ability has a probability to change when it evolves in gen 4. (Only if it's been Pal Parked).

Oh, yes. I forgot about that. Yes, you have a 50% chance that it changes its ability upon evolving.

Cheers Haunter. Will have to invest in a few of the GBA carts then

No problem, though maybe it would be easier to just trade for one. Try asking in the wifi subforum.

I would imagine the starters, even just a randomly bred one with crap IVs would be pricy in terms of pokémon wanted for it, or maybe it's just me being daft. I'll check it out, man.

^Nope; you have to have a Japanese version of Platinum to get the Oak's Letter from the Japanese Wi-Fi event that is going on right now.

Shoddy Battle isn't working for me either, so I would also like the link.
And if anyone could give me my SID (If possible) I would be greatly appreciated
