C'mon, guys, isn't an offensive spread gonna make so much more beautiful use of Electric/Dragon's amazing neutral type coverage? Furthermore, those Ice and Ground weaknesses don't quite appeal to me when we see CAP 8 from a defensive standpoint...

'swhy I voted for Electric/Bug! :]

I was going to vote Defensive because I wanted it to have Static, but from a pure, non-Ability-influenced standpoint, I'd prefer Slightly Offensive, for many of Beej's reasonings.

That said, if it ends up having an ODB of 0 anyway, this poll won't matter very much in the end anyway.

Cartoons!' art submission is by far my favorite, and it looks nice and bulky, so I'm going with Somewhat Defensive.

I voted Somewhat Defensive. Even with most Dragons having an enormous Attack stat, I would like to see some defensive capabilities with it. And it would have a better chance of taking advantage of its ability.

somewhat defensive for me. I think it would make an epic zapdos counter. and it could be very nice because of its ability to hit a ton of stuff neutrally with a single stab

DON'T! Yeah don't vote for a competitive aspect on the grounds of flavor. DONT!

And which ability would that be? Because for an offensive ability, a defensive bias might not be the best way to optimize its ability.

Voted for somewhat offensive after reading the post by Bass.

this is exactly what I was saying in my post where people are only voting for a style bias because they like the abilities better. I've seen more then enough posts over the last two topics voting for one ability or the other because of "It's abilities are more viable." I really think that structuring biases with certain abilities was a horrible idea.

With that being said, with this typing a somewhat defensive build will be crap. It's taking neutral for basically every type..bar grass and water. Not exactly the best resistances in my opinion. It takes a two of the most common attacking types for Super Effective, another bad idea in my opinion. With that being said, this seems like it a quick sweeper would benefit most, doing as much damage with it's great STAB typings before it's inevitable end.

Er you do know its x4 resistant to electric and x2 resistant to fire, flying and steel in addition to the already mentioned water and grass. It is far from lacking resistants.

Okay, fire is a decent resist..but really now. Are you gonna argue and say that Flying/Steel are even remotely good attacking choices? There are far better options out there, and those hardly see play apart from the occasional battle.

Let's talk about the weaknesses though, Dragon, Ice, Ground. 3 of the most common attack types out there. And with fighting hitting neutral it really doesn't seem like it has all to much going in favor for it defensively, unless we bulk it up like hell..which isn't an option.

Tyranitar has Water, Ground, 4x Fighting, Steel, and Bug... With the omnipresent Scizor and the common Metagross it shall never see play...

How is it we can't "Bulk it up like hell?" I've already got a working legal spread that maintains a decent offensive stat and has more defensive prowess than the All Base 100s, all while being only "Quite Good" BSR.

The idea something "isn't an option" with the blunt instrument that is CAP is laughable, and you of all people should know that.

voted somewhat defensive, also imo you should give this guy a special attacking variant of dragon dance, to raise satk and speed @_@

Somewhat defensive. It will still be able to attack as most people seem to want a spread that is close to 0.

Went with somewhat defensive mainly for easier use of certain abilities and the concept art by Cartoons!. But we are gonna have to get pretty creative to make sure it doesn't get done in or forced out by its overly common weaknesses.

Hitting only itself for SE makes it the best attacking type in the game?

Hitting nearly everything with a 180 power move is pretty hard to beat, as it hits harder than a lot of Super Effective blows.

I wanna say very defensive. So fall all the dragons we've seen were more around offence, like garchomp, salamance, and kingdra, how about seeing a dragon that can act as a wall or a tank.
So, somewhat defensive is my vote.

You don't know if we're going to give it Outrage or Draco Meteor, so this is invalid.

Not if it has, say, 50ATK
Seeing how the current choices are either somewhat defensive, and somewhat offensive... I don't think it's going to be given such a low attack stat... That is, unless this Pokemon is special based.

But in that case, it won't have a 50 Sp. Atk stat either. Either way, it should still have a respectable means of offense. It won't be an offensive beast, but it shouldn't be a weakling either.
