Ok first thing first. For those that have said this is untreatable, you are dead wrong. Standard flu medications work extremely well against this and as long as you treat yourself well and rest like you would with regular influenza, recovery is no different. People in Mexico died from poor medical treatment and poor immune systems. The CDC (Center for Disease Control) has already said they do not feel it is worth it to produce a vaccine at this point because it would halt production on next years winter batch. If things change, they will order a vaccine be made (probably by Pfizer) and they have already stockpiled specimens for quick development of the vaccine. Please do not cause more panic than needed with false information.
Wash your hands regularly, take large amounts of Vitamin C and get your needed sleep. If you start to feel sick, begin taking flu meds from your local pharm. and stay home and sleep. If not better after a few days, see your doctor as he/she will issue scrip strenght meds.
Health asociations here in Mexico are saying that the WORST thing you can do is to go to the pharm and buy unprescripted stuff, most people that died where either because, they waited until they felt really bad to get help, and, people who started taking unprescripted stuff, that made the virus more resistant.
Here in Mexico city the situation is very dense, we have no classes until may 6 (including universities, and I had exams, dammit), cinemas, soccer, and everything is closed, and there is a posibility that the metro is shut down, and I know cases of friends with dead family. Capcom should film the city for a while and use it for the intro of next resident evil, everybody here is using that doctor's mask :cloud:
And again there are people who are saying that government is hiding the real numbers -because hospitals are oversaturated atm-, you also have those conspiracy theorists freaks, but why worry if we will never know if thats true.
Remember, the problem is not the "mortality" of this virus, it is its extremly contagious nature, the media is giving hype to this stuff, but its actually helping the situation, if not, people wouldn't give this any importance, and we would be seeing half of this city sick/dead/paranoic.
