So, what exactly is method J? It is not very clearly outlined as to how it works.
Its how the pokemon are created for wild and most of the legendaries.

8. Hatch the egg and/or check its IVs, look at the list of generated frames to find the one that corresponds to the egg/newly hatched Pokemon. Take note of the Frame Number, which, in this case is considered the offset.
So for every egg we want three pieces of data:
- Delay of the initial seed.
- Seconds of the initial seed.
- Offset of the bred Pokemon (NOT of the wild Pokemon)
I got a question.
As stated above, it says the Frame Number is considered the offset. But my frame number came out to be 75458, which I don't think is correct.. am I doing something wrong?
Breeding (DPPt IV's) is Breeding (DPPt) on the RNG Reporter, correct? Under Breeding (Emerald Alternate)?
Here is the procedure that I use.. please do me a favor and correct me if I am wrong..
1. I SR'ed (not when I pressed the SR buttons, when my game started), exactly when the seconds hit HH:MM:00. Then I put the time/date into the RNG Reporter.
2. I mash my A button repeatedly until I continue on my saved game, then until I get my egg from the old man.
3. As soon as I get the egg, I rush up to Route 210 (the area with tall grasses), and catch a wild pokemon in one shot using Repeat/Quick Balls.
4. I then check it's nature/IV, and insert them into the RNG Reporter. Then I press Find
Now the Reporter looks something like this :
Type Seed Offset Seconds Delay
Initial 9316025B 37 10 594
Now here comes the question, do I use the offset that's listed there? 37??
Or proceed? Assuming yes, I switch to Method Breeding (DPPt), then press generate. Now using those little application next to the Seed Finder/Time Finder, I try to match my baby's IV's and try to check if there is any spread that matches my baby's. Do I use the Frame that's listed there? This time around, I got 5. Is this the correct way?
Yes that sounds exactly right. The only way you could be getting too much higher offset than 5 is if you wait before you take the egg. Here is the procedure that I use.. please do me a favor and correct me if I am wrong..

Hey :'D
Is there any way to better control the RNG for SRing legends such as Shaymin or Darkrai received from TRU events, or do I just have to keep turning the game on and off and hope? I noticed that they weren't listed under the candidates for Method J. ;x
One more question, I noticed that when looking for the IV's (after clicking on Generate), there were A's and B's. What do they mean?
Those are the specific IVs inherited from your parent pokemon. A and B would be the first and second pokemon you placed into the daycare, respectively, I think.
How should I go about the testing? I still haven't gotten the hang of calibrating for my offset, and i've never tried Method J yet.
Would I find a spread, then receive Darkrai and check its IVs to see if they match? D:
To do a quick test, just SR or hard reset in front of Darkrai, catch, then go catch a wild pokemon. Get the initial seed with the wild pokemon and click generate with method J and see if Darkrai is 1st. If not, switch to method 1 and see if Darkrai shows up there somewhere.
Mmm, does it make a difference if I'm not actually catching it? I still haven't received my Darkrai and Shaymin from the man in the pokemart after getting the wondercard from Toys R Us, so I'd just be grabbing it from him.
that would be interesting to help with, i wish i hadn't picked up all of my shaymin already or i would try that out. maybe for the next event here whenever that may be.That's what I mean, so save before him and check.
What's
E
O
HP
HP_E
HP_O?
on the pulldown menu for HP.
i've had the same thing happen, but with me it is that i can't get the offset i want in spite of the fact that i change the save over and over. i've hit the offset 1 away from my spread 5 times now. offset 6 never comes up for me for some reason.I'm frustratingly close to my target spread. I can't quite seems to stablize my offset, but don't want to save because this might change it alltogether and mean my delay goes odd->even. I'm getting close each time and when I did hit my delay the offset was off.
I'm fairly sure that delay change between odd and even after saving.
