HGSS Megaspeculation Thread

Why do people hope for Gen 3/Gen 4 moves as friggin MOVE TUTORS in Johto? The only moves that would be Tutor'd in HGSS would be moves that existed in GSC already. Most likely every TM that isn't a TM anymore, and maybe some random moves to go with it. I could go with a Dragon Dance tutor. Or another Outrage one (I hate Shards, so I'm still Outrage-Kingdra-less).

That would be quite cool as long as Espeon can learn it :)
It does have a tail so I dont see why not
As was said, this point is moot because the actual name of the move has nothing to do with a tail, but Espeon does have that little gem on it's head, so there is still hope. Incidentally, why doesn't Espeon learn Power Gem?

Edit: Hahaha I like how they blurred out the Ilex Forest Pichus on the show yesterday.

Dunno why doesnt Espeon, the Extrasensory Pokemon, learn Extrasensory.

You mean Jasmine. And Tail Glow is actually Firefly Light, so the argument that the thing has a tail is moot. :)

Despite this, one thing that has a tail deserves Tail Glow.

Ampharos. Need I say more?

Also, my view wasn't on them "replacing" any character. I just wish they had a female one that I liked. But eh, who knows, maybe I'll feel different by the time it comes out.

The only reason I would buy this would be to face Ash in the end. Hopefully they make him competitive this time around :/

Well considering the levels of wild pokemon in GSC he was pretty competitive, it's Red BTW, Ash is based of Red not the other way around.

They really should up the levels of the wild and trainer pokemon considerably. Because even in kanto you are fighting evel 30s. How do you train for red that way?

I doubt they will do that even though it would be nice as I got really bored of fighting the Elite Four to get them to decent levels especially since they were lv50 max and that took a long time.

One of they few changes I'm hoping for is a level increase.

am i the only one who doesn't want a challenge, level grinding is the most boring ass thing ever, one of the things i liked about gsc was the ability to just go through the game without grinding much and just enjoy the game

Problem was, you were in the 30's if you didn't grind at all even then, so we need to run the wild levels up alongside this.

i mainly mean gym leader and elite four battles, i like for wild pokemon to be extremely low leveled though so that i can just repel and never see them, another thing i liked about gsc

I know.. First part of my post was mainly trying to say you still ended up somewhat underleveled at the Elite Four if you didn't level up at least a little.

Wouldn't it be great if every poke could be ou? I hope every ones right and there are some really great move tutors! ;)

Well, under the current definition, there could be at most 176 OUs, so not even every FE pokemon could be OU.

But anyways, more on subject, one thing I'm really looking forward to his how they remix the credits theme. It was always one of my favorite musics in GSC. Canalave City was a neat throwback to it, but the real thing would be even better.

You can listen to it here if you need to be reminded of it.

Oh I loved that theme! Also watching the Pokemon up on the edges of the screen... Hopefully they keep that too.

lol alakapimp, we're obviously looking for different things in this game, we'll see who gets their wish I guess.

Hahaha... speaking about leveling here I remember when I first got my Gold and didn't know how to get away from the very first grasses... So I though the only way was to level up enough. And so I grinded... and grinded... all the way until I reached lvl 30 and my Croconaw evolved into Feraligatr on those poor lvl 2-4 sentrets. But that's where I once more tried and suddenly got my way to Cherrygrove City. :D

Haha that's amazing. I remember when I first played Gold (it was my first Pokemon game), I didn't realize how to get out from Violet City to get down to Azalea, because I always used to play at night after school and you couldn't see too well when it was night in-game. I ended up getting horribly overlevelled on the early grass patches (not quite as early as yours, mind, I'm still laughing at that :P) and ended up sweeping through the rest of the early part of the game once I found my way out of Violet.
