Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I'm running the Time Finder for searching shiny spreads of one specific nature, and it's been running for quite some time now (I understand this is normal). But is it normal for it to say "Searched: -2020000000"? o.o Is that just its way of showing how many it has left to search?

This is a bug that is corrected in mingot's latest version of RNG Reporter. Whenever the old time finder searched more than 2^31 things, the Searched number overflowed and went negative.

haha, i've got my first flawless shiny at the second attemp :DDD

It's not difficult if you read carefully the OP. Thank you all! ;)

BTW, i'd like to know the answer to my question in my last post...

Right, I understand the 1st page (just) what is the frame for a shiny, timid decent iv rotom? (in the chateau)
You'll have to download RNG Reporter, find your SID, put your ID and SID in RNG reporter and search for yourself because it will be different for every person.

Does anyone remember my Emerald program? I've been tweaking it a bit, and I've managed to come up with a version that outputs the D/P/Pt starting seed and method 1 frame for wild Pokémon. You'd still have to use RNG Reporter to find the time and method J frame, though. Would anyone be interested in this?
It's a much faster method of finding your shiny spreads, mostly (takes about 5 minutes to find every single shiny spread, filtered by IVs, for me).

Yes! One comment about your old Emerald program though was that it always scrolled past the preceeding spreads meaning you couldn't see all at once. Would this be fixed?

The current version doesn't output the spreads to the window, as it actually slows it down when a lot of spreads meet the search conditions. You'd have to view the output text file. Here's an example of the output:
82543345F QUIET 28/26/29/26/31/31 (Seed: 170402ad Frame: 6452) HP GRASS 66 !!!
495206915F LONELY 25/7/30/30/27/31 (Seed: 680a02a1 Frame: 9474) HP GRASS 69 !!!
543422518F ADAMANT 25/27/31/28/25/31 (Seed: 860f02cb Frame: 635) HP ELECTRIC 38 !!!
621470864F HARDY 25/13/30/28/29/31 (Seed: 4c10029e Frame: 344) HP GRASS 37 !!!
786060547F SERIOUS 25/0/28/26/25/31 (Seed: 0e070293 Frame: 1120) HP WATER 45 !!!
In this case, I searched for 25+/x/25+/25+/25+/31 shiny spreads. These are just the first few results.

Gotcha. So then will we be able to filter shiny spreads by nature like we did in the Emerald program?

Yeah. You can filter by nature, IVs, and now even Hidden Power :P It's actually pretty awesome.

Okay, I'll make a couple of touch-ups to it, then host it somewhere and post the link.

Nah, it's the same one, just with an added feature for D/P/Pt. It's still usable for Emerald, hence it still includes methods 2, 3, and eggs. Only method 1 has been changed.

If you need any information or help about adding method J to your program catch me on IRC and I can get it to you.

Also, if you can write up a description and short help I will add info to the OP if you would like.

OK, I've uploaded it. It can be downloaded here:
http://files.filefront.com/EmeraldRNGexe/;13809398;/fileinfo.html

I also added an average IV search criterion, in addition to all the others. I don't know whether I should actually add method J. You need to use RNG Reporter to find the time for the seed anyway, so it shouldn't be too much trouble to use it to find the method J frame. There's not much point having two programs for the same thing; mine is mainly for a faster way to find your shiny spreads.

Oh, and mingot, I noticed you credited me for the shiny formula in RNG Reporter. I'd say you should credit poccil instead, since I used the shiny formula from his site (specifically the one used in his Pokémon Essentials RPG Maker starter kit). Of course, you can still credit me if you want, but I'm not the creator of the formula.

Awesome, can't wait to try it out. Although I'm not meaning to be ungrateful, but the length of time to search my shiny spreads was a pain in RNGReporter, especially considering I'm using a high frame and large range of delays. Took me about three hours just to search one nature.

EDIT: Where are th results output to?
