when you first interact with mesprit or cresselia and start them roaming, if you do this with a synchronizer as your lead, when you finally catch it, will it have the standard 50% chance of having the same nature as your synchronizer?

are the IVs and nature set when you talk to them?

No, synchronize doesn't affect roaming legendaries. And yes, IVs and natures are set when you "talk" to them.

on a similar theme, when are IVs and natures set for the legendary birds in platinum?

is it annoying like start of game, or can i save before, catch them, check and reset if needed?

IIRC nature and IVs are set when you talk to Oak, so soft-resetting for them shouldn't be that hard.
 
For the legendary birds in Platinum, when trying to RNG abuse them, do NPC's outside the building in Eterna affect the frame, or is the frame always consistent (for example: Zapdos's frame always being 6)?
 
Does the "Soul Dew" item provide its beneficial effect on Latios and Latias in the third-gen Battle Frontier?

The only variable that matters here is Weight, since it's the same attacker and defender either way.

Empoleon weighs 183 pounds, which is 83 Kg, which puts it in the 80 Base Power range for Grass Knot. Meaning Grass Knot and Energy Ball will have the same base power.

Toxicroak is still useful outside of rain (as long as you are not using him in the sun) due to having a Water Immunity and a good set of resistances. Using him in Hail may not be the best idea (not a great Blizzard, no other apparent benefit from Hail), but it's not immediately excluded.

Sometimes, it's possible to sent wondercards from one game to another (else there wouldn't be the option "receive from friend"), but sometimes you can't. It depends on the wondercard.

For this standard set, I don't understand the use of Baton Pass. The analysis says that its there for scouting purposes, but I don't see what Baton Pass accomplishes that simply switching to another pokemon can't, other than taking up a move slot. Am I missing something about Baton Pass here?
