There's much better choices on stall teams, and Breloom is limited by not being able to actually switch into an attack. It's going to get 2HKOed by anything. If you want to devote a member of a stall team to sitting there doing nothing for 32 turns, Walrein with hail support is way better.

Questions ~ Throw me an answer?

All right... these are very random questions. In no particular order, and all that jazz.

1. A'ight, so how do "Base Stats" calculate to the stats you see on your pokemon? For example, what would be the difference in speed stat between a pokemon with a base stat of 60 and one with a base stat of 61? And if that were the case, how would you work out the effort values so the pokemon with a base stat of 60 in speed went first?

...did that make any sense?

2. If I have a pokemon with insomnia and it uses Rest, does it gain the HP and not have to deal with sleep? ...that'd be some fitful 'rest'.

3. Just how much damage does one receive if they switch into a Stealth Rock? And if you used Stealth Rock in a 2vs2 battle, would the move work on both opposing pokemon 'slot' or only on one?

4. What are some moves that grant recovery, other than the basic ones like recover and rest?

But can "any pokemon" have poison heal?

The real reason it's not used is because Walrein's selling point is its ability to heal 25% over two turns in a hailstorm while the opponent is worn down by the weather's residual damage. This means that with Walrein, if you need to, you can just alternate between Sub and Protect for 16 turns and KO any non-Ice type without Leftovers. Breloom only recovers 12.5% over two turns in Sandstorm or Hail, meaning it can't do the same thing to outstall its opponents.

It's far more effective to run SubSeed with Breloom if you want to stall with it. Spore / Sub / Protect / Leech Seed could potentially be quite annoying, but it's usually better to go for Focus Punch > Protect.

Yes, everybody knows about the dreaded "Wall"rein, but what if you came in on..i.e. Blissey, or another slow wall, then sub/spored on the switch?

I think that it would fit right in with an obistall team or something along the lines of that. All the poison! It burns! XD

Anything not Clefable or another Breloom would get outstalled with...ie, Toxic from toxic spikes, on top of the residual damage that comes from SR and Spikes.

1. http://www.smogon.com/dp/articles/stats

2. Insomnia pokemon simply can't use Rest

3. Stealth Rock does a fixed 12.5% of a pokemons health when they switch in, then resistences/weaknseses are taking into account. So a pokemon that is 4x weak to rock takes 50%, a pokemon that is 2x resistant takes 6.25%, and a neutral pokemon takes 12.5%.

4. Wish, Roost, Aqua Ring, Ingrain, Leech Seed, HP draining moves like Giga Drain/Drain Punch are a few that come to mind.

Many OU teams have none or only one Pokemon vulnerable to Toxic Spikes. And what's to stop something from Dragon Dancing up on you as you waste PP Protecting? Breloom can't phaze, so residual damage built up from Spikes and Stealth Rock will be quite pathetic really. Best to SubSeed and stall out anything slower, or give your next switchin a bit of healing as it comes in on a faster threat.

I'll give an example of my question because i can't explain it well

Let's say that way:Smeargle uses Skill Swap on Heatran and gets Flash Fire.
Heatran uses a Fire move, which boosts a fire move smeargle uses

Smeargle uses Transform/transform 2 and becomes a fire type.Typhlosion comes

Smeargle skill swap again, gains Blaze and Typhlosion attacks, leaving it with 15% HP

Typhlosion switches to whatever,Smeargle uses fire move

The Flash Fire boost is still active even if Blaze activates,or,because i switched abilities, the Flash Fire boost is gone ?

Because,if Flash Fire boost is still there, with Sunny Day support,we are gonna have a damn powerful move...

In the description, call it whatever you want to refer to it as.
For IRC server, you need to find the address of the server you're connecting to, assuming that you want to join synirc, you want to put irc.synirc.net.
Keep the port as default, and the group and password are unnecesarry.

Once you've filled it out, scroll down the list of servers, highlight the one you added, and click select on the right. Then, in the menu on the left, click connect, fill in your chosen name etc, and click connect.

Ah, thanks for the clarification. I was wondering why such a pokemon with such an obvious ability had never been seen stalling.

I don't think I've been specific enough:

this is the page:

I need the fourth picture, the information to fill out this form:

is this better?

I'm trying to get into #RMT #stark and #smogon

Ok, I was looking at the Clefable movesets and noticed it could apparently learn Double-Edge and Softboiled. Upon further research, I couldn't find out how. I looked almost everywhere and Google'd it... so anybody know?

You have to get one from FireRed/LeafGreen as there are Softboiled and Double-Edge move tutors there.

Will a burned pokemon with guts get an attack boost? or will the attack lower from burn cancel out the attack raise from guts?

Prolly an extremely noobish question, but worth a go. :D

If I fully EV a Pokémon by the time it's, say, Lv.90, can I Rare Candy it up to Lv.100 and have it be just as strong as if I leveled up naturally? Thanks.

Yes, Rare Candies are just like regular leveling and do not affect EVs in anyway.

Guts bypasses the attack lowering side effect of Burn(much like how Quick Feet bypasses the speed lowering side effect of paralysis), and still raising attack, that's why Heracross(for example) enjoys switching into Will-O-Whisps.

Note: very sorry, not sure where this question would go

Which moveset would be be better on a smergle?
Dark void Aqua Jet
Fake out or fake out

There should be a drop menu that has synIRC in it. ANyways:

Description: Random Server
IRC Server: irc.synirc.net
Ports: 6660-6669
Group: synIRC

I would go with Aqua Jet for Sashes. Fake out can do the same thing but only once. However, don't expect to get much damage out of it (like under 5% for anything).

I don't know if this question has been asked or not (there are, after all, 88 pages in this thread), but in what ways can you earn a badge?
