I have a yanmega, and his hp (which is 313) for some reason means that I have to substitute four times to consume my pinch berry. Basically that means I have to go down to 1% to activate it, and therefore one priority attack will kill me no matter what type it is or who it's from.

My question is, how many hp evs do I have to give it so that the berry works after three substitutes, or after one when stealth rock is up? Currently it has 0 hp evs.

yeah, so I'm a total noob.

where do I go to do a standard wifi battle, and can I do it by myself with my 2 carts and 2 DSs?

You go to the basement of a pokemon center and enter the wifi room. If you and the person you are facing (yourself, in this case) are in the room and you have eachother's friendcodes added in your pal pad, you'll be able to battle.

If it's on Shoddy, you only need to give it 30 IVs in HP.

Otherwise, add 12 HP EVs (3 HP stat) to give it 316 HP. Then you only have to sub once if there's SR up.

Exactly as hard as it is to get any other HP, unless theres a HP Fighting spread that's easy to get through RNG abuse.

I'm lonely. Will some one tickle my pickle please !?

It's my day off.

What is a good EV spread / nature / moveset for Porygon2 in UU. Would the set in the analysis work well (Defensive Duck)?

Porygon2 isn't as helpful in UU as he is in OU. Looking at the stats, it seems most other people are using the Defensive Duck set as well, so it's a safe option.

VGA Milotic. Milotic - #350 (Timid): 8 - 9 / 0 - 1 / 30 - 31 / 31 / 28 - 29 / 12 - 13 Keep or not? Not RNG abusing.

Toss. For further inquiries, check this thread.

Breeding Question

I didn't know where else to post a question like this, so I apologize if it is in the wrong place. I want to raise a shuckle that knows toxic and knock off (which is an egg move). How do I go about doing this without using up my toxic TM? Thank you.

If the male parent knows Toxic and Knock Off, the Shuckle will know them too.

Also, does Unburden activate if the pokemon uses Trick?

Male Dustox (Toxic at Level 38) + Female Gligar/Skorupi -> Male Gligar/Skorupi with Toxic
Male Gligar/Skorupi with Toxic (Knock Off at Level 12/23) + Female Shuckle -> Shuckle with Knock Off and Toxic

You don't even need the parent to know Knock Off. Knock Off is a move tutor move in Platinum.

Oh, and Haze DOES work through Subs, right?

Also, about critical hits, they only ignore stat alterations that aren't to the advantage of the Pokemon who scored the critical hit, right? I knew they ignored all stat changes altogether in Generation 1, but is it still that way? Say a Sandslash uses Slash and it scores a Critical hit. If it had used Swords Dance beforehand, would it have affected anything? Likewise, if it had been subjected to Intimidate, would THAT have affected anything?

One more thing, one more thing. A Serene Grace Dunsparce uses Headbutt on a paralyzed opponent that does not have Shield Dust or Inner Focus. Between Headbutt's 60% chance to flinch, and the chance for the opponent to be fully paralyzed, what are the odds of the target attacking that turn, in the form of a percentage? I'd try and figure that one out myself, but 1: I don't know the chance for full paralysis, and 2: Math was never my strong suit. In fact, it's one of my weaker suits.

Critical hits ignore any negative effects, a.k.a., anything that would reduce damage. (Special) Attack reductions on your Pokemon are ignored, but boosts are not. (Special) Defense boosts on the opponent's Pokemon are also ignored, but any drops on it are not. Also, Light Screen and Reflect are ignored. I'm not sure if weather effects (Water/Fire reduction/boost, Sandstorm boost for Rocks) are ignored or not, however, nor do I know if Burn is ignored. Hopefully someone else will post this information.

How do you fill out the add server form on mIRC? It's in the tutorial, but it's a picture and it's not loading on my computer. Thanks.

Must I use a Psychic attack on Medicham? Psychic sucks...
HJK/Ice Punch/FP/Rock Slide or Fire Punch vaild? TPunch isn't of much help here, as SpecsStar outurnes and OHKOs...

I'll give an example of my question because i can't explain it well

Let's say that way:Smeargle uses Skill Swap on Heatran and gets Flash Fire.
Heatran uses a Fire move, which boosts a fire move smeargle uses

Smeargle uses Transform/transform 2 and becomes a fire type.Typhlosion comes

Smeargle skill swap again, gains Blaze and Typhlosion attacks, leaving it with 15% HP

Typhlosion switches to whatever,Smeargle uses fire move

The Flash Fire boost is still active even if Blaze activates,or,because i switched abilities, the Flash Fire boost is gone ?

Because,if Flash Fire boost is still there, with Sunny Day support,we are gonna have a damn powerful move...

The first question is answered on the Substitute move page - Haze is not blocked by Substitute.

The second question is answered on the Dunsparce analysis - 30%. Also, there's a 25% chance for a Pokémon to be fully paralyzed (this is answered in the Status article).
