How is rain damage added onto water STAB'd attacks?
Say for surf:
95 + 47.5 [stab] + 47.5 [rain] = 190
or
(95 + 47.5 [stab]) x 1.5 [rain] = 213.75?

Hazing

Hi, I has question about Haze.
It eliminates all stat changes, but what if the stat change comes from a Pokemon's ability? Like, Torrent or Guts? If these were to activate under a Haze, would they be worthless?

Torrent does not change a stat, it just increases the move power of water moves. Guts would not be negated, I don't think. Basically, it doesn't affect abilities.

I need the PERFECT Trick Room sweepers. Here's the requirements

~speed able to get below 140 without the help of an item
~Wide type coverage
~As close as possible to "unwallable"
~Preferably one high attack stat with powerful moves from the other spectrum (ie Tyranitar with Fire Blast)

I've tried Dragonite (too fast), Tyranitar (didn't want sand, mind want to go back to him) Rampardos (too easily walled)
Any suggestions would be amazing,

Metagross?

Camerupt, Marowak, and Lickilicky come to mind.

Camerupt can abuse moves on both sides of the spectrum, with powerful stuff such as Eruption, Fire Blast, Earthquake, Earth Power, Stone Edge, Explosion, etc...

Marowak is pretty beastly. Earthquake, Double Edge, Fire Punch, and Stone Edge is a good moveset. Not many can survive this moveset.

Lickilicky is bulky and has decent attacking stats for both sides. It can abuse Return, Elemental beams, Power Whip, Explosion, etc.

I'll check Camerupt and Lickilicky out for sure, but how does Marowak fair against Bronzong, Skarmory, and Swampert?

It has Fire Punch that will severely dent Bronzong and Skarmory. As for Swampert, hey, you can't beat everything, eh? XD I'll run some calcs to see how Earthquake does to the standard Pert. Hold on.

I went ahead and ran calcs for max HP/Def (with +Def nature) Swampert with Marowak Earthquake: 49.26% - 58.17%

A 100% chance to 2KO if Stealth Rock and Leftovers are factored in.

For fun, I ran calcs for Marowak Fire Punch vs. max/max +Nature Bronzong and Skarmory:

Bronzong: 50.30% - 59.17%

Skarmory: 44.31% - 52.69%
For Skarmory, a 100% chance to 2KO with Stealth Rock and Skarmory holding something like Shed Shell. SR + leftovers gives 77.19% chance to 2KO.

These don't always run max HP/Def with a +Def nature, though. Damage output could be higher.

hmm if I recall correctly, Swampert straight up dominates my team. lol. So I think I should probably try out Licky with powerwhip, or something else with a grass attack.

Maybe
Camerupt @ Life Orb
Brave
252 Atk/252 Spa/6 HP
~Overheat
~Earthquake
~Hidden Power [Grass]
~Explosion

Anyone see anything that would wall that? I think a HP Grass from 309 SpA would OHKO Swampert wouldn't it?

the 100 base attack and 105 base SpA leave alot to be desired, but with the Fire Ground STAB combo, paired with the awesome counter that is Porygon 2, Flygon should be all I fear, and Explosion will deal with him.

252 SpA neutral nature Camerupt does 75-85% to 252hp/0SpD neutral nature Swampert with HP Grass.

NINJARABIAN: With the specs you provided, HP Grass will not OHKO.

My Question: I'm breeding a Magnezone. I have to breed a Magnemite with a Ditto, correct? Also, if I breed a Magnemite with Magnet Pull in Emerald Version, when Magnemite evolves to Magneton (still in the Emerald cartridge) and then I trade Magneton to Platinum and then evolve it IN Platinum to Magnezone - will it still have Magnet Pull? Basically, does ability remain the same when evolving?

With the specs you provided, Grass Knot will not OHKO.

Where did we mention Grass Knot? ._.

Yes, Magnemite + Ditto. Yes, if the Magnemite is not Pal Parked, then the ability should stay the same.

Is Garchop really on thesuspect to OU? God, please bring it back :<...

It really drives me when people think Walrein isn't vaible outside Hail stall; I actually found alot of fun with CB Walrein, which reminds me a bit of Metagross, minus the Explosion of course.
Is Fire Blast even an option on Garchomp? Fire Fang is so weak...

Wait, if the Magnemite is NOT pal parked? I updated my question (the Emerald bit) I presume it makes a difference then? I'm confused :x

In your case, there is a 50% chance that the ability will change upon evolving into Magnezone (I THINK. Don't quote me on that, but I'm fairly sure). If you bred your Magnemite in a 4th gen cartridge, you wouldn't have a problem and Magnemite would keep the same ability through its evolutions. But if you Pal Park a Pokemon and evolve it in the 4th gen, if it's line has 2 abilities, it has a chance of changing.

Wait, if TotalPotato is right, then it should stay the same. I wasn't aware that it only applied to lines that obtained a new ability in the 4th generation.

Fireblast is more common on scarfchomp to dent physical skarms more but now since lots of supsects skarmorys are running 252hp / 252SpD careful, fire fang may do more.

How does CBwalrein remind you of Metagross?
