RestTalk Milotic is awsome (so is Milotic really <3), but why Dragonbreath? If you need a Dragon attack, use Dragon Pulse...

For SubPunching Polirwath, what move would be better Water STAB-Hydro Pump or Waterfall? Also, is a special-based Poliwarth set with Vacuum Wave viable?

Okay, a couple questions here:
- The standard CB Tyranitar set lists Crunch, but wouldn't Dark Pulse be an equally good option? (Merits of flinching vs. defense drop)
- Speaking of Choice Band, I'm curious about the finer points of its usage: is the move that's picked to be used reset at any point? For example, when an opposing Poke is knocked out, or if the CB Poke gets switched out? Or are they literally stuck using that one move until they're knocked out?

That's life.

Actually, I think the Japanese are simply more organized with this stuff, and PUSA is also too lazy to do it.

Choice Band increases your physical attack stat, and Crunch is a physical attack, while Dark Pulse is a special attack.

You can't change moves after knocking out an opposing Pokemon with a choice item. You can change what you are locked into when you switch out and in.

I have a question myself: Does Pokerus double vitamin EV gains?

Paralyze chance. Milotic has no other way to paralyze unless you use physical attacks.

Vitamins only go by 10 EV points no matter what. Pokerus doesn't double it.

There's no best move. It really depends on what the rest of your team fears the most.

- HP Electric for Gyarados / fellow water types
- Ice beam for dragons (and Surf + Ice hits nearly everything other than water types for neutral)
- Dragon Pulse for best neutral coverage along with Surf but wouldn't be very powerful. You could go for dragon breath for the paralysis too I guess.
- Toxic for well... ... Toxic, probably the best attack vs bulky waters for Milotic. Most pokemon that cannot be poisoned are hit neutral by STAB Surf (OU exceptions include Tentacruel & Empoleon).

Hello I have just downloaded the jirachi on my jap import platinum game is it possible to soft reset for nature Ivs ? If it is possible could someone explain how to do it as I'm still a bit unclear on this sort of thing thanks

Save before picking Jirachi up from the guy in the shop. Take Jirachi and see if it's good (this is probably the hardest part since it'd take a while for IVs to narrow down). If it's not good, reset and try again. Simple.

Thanks for your help megamewtwo I cocked up doing the shaymin they gave us in the uk and yeah it's a level 5 jirachi. I'm a noob on new technology I'm mature aged! Where would I best looking if I wanted to find out more about how to copy and give to anyone A copy of these jap import pokemom I have darkrai I lurk and read about cloning and rd4? But I haven't a clue how it works. I have a brother in japan who is getting me heartgold silver so I'm more than happy to give anyone a rare pokemom if I knew how to copy the original I have picked up how to copy using emerald thanks

Use your common sense, Sub Punch Poliwrath is a PHYSICAL attacker. So naturally, Waterfall is the better STAB option. And no, Special Poliwrath is just not good.

ColdEye, why don't you actually take the time to read the analysis of a pokemon? They're there for a reason.

I'm totaly new to the RNG thing and i decided i wanted to try and figure it out. I have been reading for 2 days and i'm pretty much totally lost. Here is as far as i got.

When i entered the DPPt Time finder and entered the IV's and natures i wanted, year, max frame and min max delays, and Method J, and hit generate, it took a long time and no results came back. What am i doing wrong?

I have a Darkrai and Shaymin sitting at the Pokemart. It is better overall for Darkrai have a Timid/+Speed nature and Shaymin to have a Modest/+SpAttack nature, correct?

Other sets and natures are more...novelty-ish set-ups, yeah?

I'm not even sure if this type of question belongs here, but here I go...

What happened to Tangrowth? Tangrowth was OU and fairly common in the beginning, but his usage gradually went down. When Platinum rolled around, I'm pretty sure that Zapdos learning Heat wave and Rotom-H hurt Tangrowth. I don't know if Tangrowth was ever BL at one point, but since the BL and UU combination, I thought Tangrowth would go to UU. I was extremely shocked to find Tangrowth sitting in the never-used tier. What's wrong with Tangrowth? NU is for the Pokemon who usually have 1 extremely bad quality (Slaking, Regigigas) or Pokemon who just can't function anywhere else.
I'm not complaining about the tier list, I'm just wondering what made the decision for Tangrowth to be NU. He seems like a totally viable Pokemon.

And I guess that is another question: the current NU list is tentative, right?

I don't know about Darkrai, but it depends on what Shaymin set you plan to use. Bulky or Scarf sets would probably get more use out of a Modest nature, while more offensive sets would probably want a Speed-boosting nature. Timid is probably best if you plan on trading it, however, as it was the most used nature by far in UU last month.

can anyone else think of a fourth turtle pokemon?

I have donny the blastoise, raphael the torterra, and mikey the torkoal, but I can think of another turtle pokemon for Leo.

And yes I am making a ninja turtles themed team..

Make the 4th a Ninjask turtle?

Thanks, that's good info.

It can't go to offensive-minded S form so I guess modest would be best...but either nature could work so w/e comes out first w/good IVs I'll take.
