Can someone explain this in the simplest possible way. This all seems so complicated to me(besides the steps). If someone can give me easy steps and explain it as if you were explaining it to a retard please :(. Im sorry but please someone :(.

There is no simpler or more concise way to explain this than what is in the OP. Rather than just make it seem like it's too hard, read through and ask questions about what you're having trouble understanding.

Really the easiest way for us to help you is for you to be more specific about what you don't understand/are having trouble with.

Well folks, in case nobody has noticed, porygon is a method 1 resetable in the couple's house in veilstone as I just got mine as a trace porygon with quiet: 31/8/31/31/31/0

By default, porygon starts at frame 1.

While many may be tempted to go for modest/timid/calm flawless, just keep in mind that porygon does not learn tri-attack in DPPt until level 51 which makes it disqualified for VGS.

All I need to do is follow the steps?
Cause like, I do the taps and stuff and it still doesn't work :(
I did 9 correctly(happiness taps), lowest I've ever gotten, did it correctly, no shiny pokemon :(

can somebody check my secret id for me? idk how to without a natural shiny pokemon and with my luck and the 1/8000(ish) odds im out of options.

I read this over and I still can't find a real clear answer, unless it's really late at night and I'm just missing something. Will this work in Diamond, or is it Platinum exclusive?

This will work in diamond. The thread title was changed from platinum to DPPt so people would know. I haven't read the OP in a while so I don't know if it states it.

Thanks! I didn't see anything in the OP post about it, so that's why I asked. I may have missed it, but I don't think so. Thanks again!

recent trouble

i have had success in the past with this procedure but recently have had trouble and i cant figure it out and was hoping someone had some insight. following the directions i had a 50/50 chance of getting a reasonable initial seed and was told to check my date and time. after double checking the date, even changing the minutes up and down with no results. when i would get one to work i followed the directions and would have success. then i got a japanese ditto which made even better results. now nothing. i double checked all instructions. im getting about a 1/10 chance of getting a reasonable initial seed. and when i do no shiny. im doing everything identical to previous attempts and i even double checked all steps. please help. i fish in the resort area using a super rod on both successful and unsuccessful attempts. edit: this is regarding hatching shiny eggs and i did switch to DDPt egg PID international

why are you fishing to get eggs? You probably are not following the steps correctly.

You need to be in the right mode. DPP Egg PID (Normal) I belive.

@Vile

Looks like you're in Oreburgh Mine.

Since you're in a cave, most of the substitutions don't affect you.

I'm trying the "Capture the Perfect Pokemon."
Allright then, if I'm to understand this, I need to know what to do.
I have indeed used the Time Finder, Method J and input some IV's. Through several searches I came up w/a frame of 1 or 3 or 13 w/31/31/25/31/30/30.
The time I'm getting is 14:00:38 w/a Delay of 647.
Now am I to assume that in order to get this particular IV spread, I need to hit that time exactly?
Since this is Giratina I'm going after and I wanted to go for frame 1 (for example), I just save in front of him, try to hit the Delay, capture, and then check, correct?
I did find another w/25/31/25/31/23 (? is this good or bad, I really like to know)/31 @Frame 92. 02:00:34 @Delay 630.
But whatever, am I even on the right track?

@ The Giritina-man: Yes, all exactly right. Hit that second and delay exactly, then advance the frame as necessary and talk to Giratina.

For that RNG, probably yes because you land by a Pokemon Centre. If there are wandering NPCs nearby, they will be advancing the RNG as it generates their behaviour. It doesn't matter though because RNG reporter searches a few frames into each seed (don't know how many) so it can still find your seed even if the RNG has been advanced. This also means you don't have to catch the first Pokemon you encounter.

Basically, yes, it is OK to fly somewhere to catch a higher level Pokemon. I use the Survival Area and immediately run right onto Route 226.

Hey, I'm finally trying this out.

*I was just testing out my average "Seconds" and "Delay" for Calabration.
I SR'd 11 times and these were the results:

1] 14/611
2] 14/613
3] 14/603
4] 14/607
5] 14/613
6] 14/607
7] 14/605
8] 14/603
9] 14/597
10] 14/611
11] 14/597 + 648 (?)

I'm not sure about what happened the 11th time, maybe because the pokemon was level 49...

I just want to get my average Seconds and Delay time, and given my average time is 14 seconds, what would my average Delay time be?

*!* I was thinking 605-613, but not sure what you would say the rough average was. I know you will tell me I'm stupid or something for not figuring it out, but I'm not sure if you should be bringing it down to an exact delay, so could someone just tell me what I should tale down as my average Delay?

You don't use averages. Enter your whole range (597-613). Or since 597 is uncommon and a bit outside the range, 603-613. A delay range of 10 is fine and obviously, you hit odd values, so there are only six possibilities within your range, making it easier to hit one.

Just a quick question, after you get you're average time and delay, do you then search for a seed, and then get the target time for that seed?

If not, what exactly is the Target Time?
