Is GTS even worth the time then? And how "unlikely" is it for pokemon hacked to damage my game? And would it even help if I try to get rid of the chimchar now that the pokemon is already in my game?

GTS is generally a dump, but there's always the possibility of finding that needle in the haystack. You're better off just using our Wi-Fi forum though.

As for the Chimchar, it's almost certain to not damage your game in any way. I've never heard of such damage being caused by what I can only assume is a legitimate hacked Pokemon (a Pokemon that has been hacked but is still within the confines of the game) but it's just one of those 'cover your ass' things.

15/31/31/31/23/31 Piplup just hatched for the Agility SubPetaya moveset.

How many HP EV's do I have to give it for the Petaya berry to work on the 3rd sub?

Hacked parents are an iffy case. Lots of differing opinions there.

How many HP EV's do I have to give it for the Petaya berry to work on the 3rd sub?

12 if you're playing at Level 100. 4 if you're at Level 50.

For the mostpart it's a bad idea NOT to use 'smogon movesets.' They're there because they've been proven to work time and time again...they're the best sets for a given Pokemon.

EDIT: It can be any multiple of 16, so 0, 16, 32, etc. So you don't even need HP EVs for it to work.

While I agree, they do work well. It's not a bad idea to use them (although I prefer making my own teams out of Level Up Moves and Egg Moves (legal of course) ;-) ).

Speaking of which, can I make a competitive team that will do well on Wi-Fi using ONLY Level Up Moves and Legal Egg Moves (I don't like to use up my resources, and it takes away from the Pokemon's originality), that doesn't use non-breedable Pokemon (saving resources again, just now they are Pokemon), and without breeding a lot for IVs (I will be fine if they are all over 20 or 25)? Basically something that I can make easily in-game without using anything that can't be gotten again.

EDIT2: And I don't want to use the RNG thingy, it sounds too hard.

The GTS still has some good trades. I recently got a shiny Yanma lvl 100 for my old lvl 60 salamence.

And i have used AR to get a lot of hacks on my games (stuff like Arceus met at Route 226 at lvl 51, Dragonite met at Sendoff Spring at lvl 54, and also legit ones such as hacked porygons appearing at trophy garden (look legit) My game is fine, although for some reason I cant trade most legendaries, hacked or legit, off GTS, with the exception of Shaymin for some reason.

Where do you go to look at the smogon movesets?
 
OK so I just got platinum and beat the e4 and did the double battle. there's only four Pokemon I need to see to get the national dex. Mesprit, Uxie, Azelf, and Rotom i would like to catch good natured with IVs. that would take some timie so I would like to use my action replay to run into them and get the national dex.

but my DS sucks, its hard to add a new game into the action replay because its so hard to hit the next buttom with my stylus. so i would love to do this all with my computer but don't know how. so how do i do this?

??? Why not just bring a synchronizer of your choice and soft reset for good IVs. That way ther would be no question as to their legitimacy. It takes very little time to do. Thats how I got my Heatran that got me through Nationals.

my DS is fine for playing pokemon its just the touch screen is awkward when you touch it, it always hits the wrong button that you dont hit. so like adding cheat codes is a pain so much that i cant even do it manully.

because thats four pokemon that i would have to soft reset for to get a good one. not one... and I would be useing dusks balls so it wouldnt be fast at all.


and i dont want to catch them just see them so i can catch the legit ones in the caves later. and start breeding on platinum now.

and I would have to go catch a synchronizer with the right nature. thats enough work in itself =(

Calibrate it. There should be an option to calibrate it in the options menu of the DS when you first boot it up and haven't chosen a game to load yet.

what are some codes for pokemon platinum? and whats the code to use it with your AR?
 
Is there anyplace in platinum you can see the legendary dogs or the Johto starters for pokedex completion?

Also, where are leftovers in Platinum?

you don't get leftovers until you get the national dex. and you don't need to see the dogs or starters to complete you dex.

You get one johto starter for getting all the symbols in emerald, you can beat it 3 times and migrate, but that would take a very very long time...

Symbols? I thought you got the starter for completing the pokedex in Emerald.

And I wanted to see 'em so I could fish the GTS for 'em.
