The Risk Doubles Tournament now begins! For round 1, games will be played on the classical art map. Rules can be found here:

Frisk (Serenity/thunda) vs. Siddown (SevinDeadlySins/Marker)
Mekkah/Alper vs. Justice (Mekkah/Hipmonlee)
Jimbo/Gay Dolphin vs. No. (Veedrock/Amelia)
Big Red Ball Rubbers (matty/LonelyNess) vs. Berries (Bass/Reyscarface)
Gmax/Yoshiking vs. Shiv/Lesm46



The deadline for games will be Sunday July 12th (subject to change). It's recommended that you pm your opponents to set up a time if you aren’t on irc often. The channel #risk on Synirc can be used for organizing games. If you have difficulty getting all 4 people on at the same time you can get someone else to join on the missing person's account or the account Smogon so the game can get started.

Alper is subbing in for Scrubs. Also, the deadline for risk games is being extended to July 11th. If you're having problems finding your opponents pm me I guess.
 
Assassin and Marker

We have been on just about every day and you guys are not showing initiative in coming on IRC. This has become very upsetting for both of us, so if you guys can start getting back on IRC then we would appreciate it. ):
 
tennisace, billymills, moi and myself have been having a hard time getting together. I wouldn't say any of us are anything close to inactive, it just seems that there's always one person missing.

This is just to inform all people who have been inactive or haven't been bothering that I'm not going to be taking that.

If you join up in a game then don't even bother to try and complete it, you will be banned from future games. So get your act together and go to #risk on IRC and finish your games. (This obviously doesn't apply to people who have been trying to find opponents etc).

Edit: I mean banned from all games in this forum, not just this one.
 
Subs have been added for all the people that vanished (Gmax for tehpiplupman, Jimbo for Glasscobra, SdS for assassinfred, and reyscarface for lightwolf). Also, only one game is necessary unless both teams want to and have the time to do best of 3.
 
CN should replace me I think, with our timezones, we can be on together, but it is much too hard for us to do that at a time that most other people can be on..

So we're gonna have to wait even LONGER so you can get subbed out? I'm starting to wonder if our group is ever going to get our match done... >_>
 
Team Conquering Canucks came back from a 1-0 hole after suffering a tough hour and a half loss and finished with a 2-1 win, winning both games 2 and 3.
 
Late confirmation. I had a favorable starting position which helped a lot, plus I wouldn't let Jimbo set up ;D

(I also had my fair share of bad luck but had the troops to make it unnoticeable)

EDIT: Actually I think our positions were about even. We each had a majority of one of the larger countries (each worth the same amount of troops), allowing us to conquer our respective territory on turn 2. However he left his territory that was between us weak so I was able to take one spot everytime he ended his turn to prevent the bonuses.
