Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

So you are telling me that try to capture swarm or low level pokemon it's useless ?it's like try to capture a perfect Ditto like someone does in the previous thread page. anyway ill i just wanna learn to capture a perfect pokemon whith the rng abuse, and i choose a larvitar as first try.

Ah, I apologize, I forgot that Larvitar swawms in Platinum and that you can capture it with sweet scent when it does. So disregard the text about not being able to use sweet scent. So yes, you can try to fly, it will probably work find most of the time. Just go ahead and test it out.
 
Alright, so here is my situation. I found a good spread with the delay I was hitting yesterday (only calibrated twice) but now I can't hit that (as often). I only hit it once today out of maybe like 30 tries.

So, instead of hitting 609, I can easily hit 599-605. But with 609 I found an amazing Shiny Spread (Method J). So, the seed needed is 5f020297. Plugging that into the Seed to Time, a year of 2064 will get me a delay of 599 and still have that seed. Plugging that into the time finder, I get the Shiny Spread again. So I did it right?

So I guess Year varies directly with Delay on the same seed?
 
Okay people, i have a slight problem here.
you see, i doenloaded the RNG reporter two days ago, i know how to do everything to obtain a shiny egg with the desired nature, I THOUGHT D:
and yes, i do klick the shiny button.
i dont know if this has anything to do with frames, egg types or delay because i dont really know what those things are.

the problem here is that when i get the egg, i only get the desired nature, and not shiny.
could it be that my SID is worng?
because i was chaining lickitungs, and when i had hit 22, a noctowl appeared when i was walking to a lickitung spot, down in the woods. i didnt even see there was a moving spot there.
so i am not sure.. :l
anyway i always get the nature i want, but never shiny.

please answer me ._.

Yes you have your SID wrong. It clearly says a randomly encounterd pokemon, not a chained shiny pokemon.
 
Just posting to say I got my first bred shiny. I didn't go for a specific nature, just went for the one with the least amount of App clicks. After 101 clicks on Happiness thing and 2 Coin Flips I got a shiny Naive Vileplume. :D.

Now I'll begin doing this for the right natures =].
 
I can't get the emloop timer working. I put 660 into the delay box and hit the button to convert it into seconds which became 11 seconds. Then I put 60 into the specified box. Then whenever I activate the timer, it counts down from 60. When it hits 0, the second timer never begins?

is there something I am doing wrong,
 
I was going for Azelf, all I was after with my search was Modest with good Sp att and speed. Kept coming up with nothing. I thought maybe Azelf wasn't Method J, thats why I tested Method 1. I guess I know what I have to do now, but expanding my search parameters too far is going to make those IV's suffer I guess =/

I can handle most of the other stuff needed, if I still can't get it once I have found a suitable seed, I guess I will be back with more questions.

If I succeed, I will be back with thanks =P
 
I'd just like to let you guys know I finally hit my frame thanks to the help of bearsfan (you can see the result in DMP). I appreciate the time you guys take to help us newbies! :)
 
I was trying to set up an even starting frame so that I could hit my target frame. I was getting inconsistent frames so I decided to resave. Somehow my egg that the man was holding disappeared completely. Any thoughts?
 
Ugh sorry to bother you again but...I want to know if im doing my Target Time correctly ok so first...

-Go to Time Finder on the RNG
-Enter your average Delay Time, Seconds, and frame (not needed at this point)
-Find a Spread, check the time, example 13:00:14
-Set my clock DS 1 minute earlier 12:59:00
-Reset Time will be 13:00:00 (My average second is 14)
-Try to hit the right Delay and Seconds.
-Check with the Coin flip if you got it correct. If it matches the one listed with the Spread it worked if not Try Again! D<
**NOTE: Is there another way to check? Whitout the Coin Flip?

Am I running in circles again? =X

I'll tell you what happened. You started the game, you hit A to talk to the old man, you tried hitting B to cancel and got rid of your egg, and then saved. Hitting B to him gets rid of the egg, not canceling him taking it. That is the only feasible explanation.

Yeah, that's right for when you need to start the reset. You can also go and catch a random pokemon and use it to check the time/delay. If you're going for a wild abused pokemon, then do coin flips. If you're doing eggs, then pick-up the egg first, then catch one.

Ok Tks!! But each time I do it wrong I gotta reset my clock to 1 min before the target time right right? Oh and one more....when I reset my game I just constanly press the A button as fast as I can...but it can also my throw my timing off...is there a GOOD way to do this?

EDIT: And when I enter the info to check my delays with the target time..I have to put the hours of MY DS rite =o?
 
1)Yes, every reset you have to put the time back.
2)You want to keep a consistent speed so that it's easier next time you go for another abuse. I usually just use the beat of a song and keep up with that.
3)Yes, the time on your DS is what you put into the seed finder.

Okay, I need some help in using the part on finding out which pokemon appear on a certain frame for wild non-legends. I've found that, after doing all the math, that it was 76, putting it in slot 5. But I don't know how to determine which pokemon appear in the Trophy Garden. I need it on a ditto, so if someone could tell me which slot that's in, or explain how to determine it, that'd be appreciated.

I need to the know the same thing.
Example i'm trying to catch a wild Scyther how do i get him to come out and not some other poke?
 
Well, I have been tinkering with it all day, and practicing. I am sure I have the hang of it now. I caught me a shiny Azelf, 28/13/31/31/27/31, Modest, HP Dragon (68).

I think I know enough about the general theory that I can be helpful to anyone else who is new at this, and given time, I can probably master this and help with future additions to the RNG Reporter.

If anyone needs my help, its on offer, just PM me and I will see what I can do. (Just so you know, my post count is small, but I am no newb. I know my stuff, and master new things with ease.)
 
Are Registeel's IVs generated when you talk to the statue (when it attacks) or when you do the moves to "awaken" it?

When it attacks. You can defeat it, return, and reactivate it, and it will have different nature/IVs.
