Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I'm trying to hit a delay of 610, and a second of 59, and i can't seem to hit my delay. I keep checking my seed, but my seconds is always 1 even though I'm continuing at 59 seconds. What am i doing wrong?

Obviously if you keep hitting 1 when your external clock says 59, your synchronization is off. Resync it. If not, try resetting two seconds earlier.
 
Ok I have a question I have to ask, if in the emloop timer it says that a delay of 599 recquires you to pass the intro in 10 seconds, does that mean that I will never hit my delay with my 14 second timing?
 
I'm trying to figure out which frame to use when searching for spreads, and it keeps jumping around. 8,9,7,8,9,8,8,7. It's usually not this jumpy, although I also had problems the other day with it. Am I doing something wrong?
 
When your changing the date to get the spread you want, does the NPC switch position? Because each time I switch my date, it seems my frames change and the position's of the NPC isn't the same, is this true or am I imagining things?

That might explain why the delay is 4 seconds shy, however, emloop fails to work in my computer, it just counts down from sixty and stops there.. I don't think there's anyone who can help me with that, the only time a second timer shows up is when I mess around with it, but its the wrong seconds for the delay..
 
Oh sorry, I didn't know what you meant. The white screen when you start you game does not account for delay. It only accounts for seconds, as the clock is still ticking no matter what happens.
 
I have run into a problem... I typed in the following seed below into the main RNG Reporter page:
Seed: 03040260
Coin flips= H T T T H T T T H T
ok so I soft reset a bunch of times, and captured a pokemon to observe my delay, I coin flipped once and I got H H (I forget the rest) and I capture a pokemon, according to that Lv51 gloom, I had the delay I wanted, 599... so what's going on here!?

You either got the wrong seconds or there is a difference in the times between RNG reporter and the ds. Perhaps the year is off by 2 or something in RNG reporter.
 
Nothing's off Lightning... I believe I have been careful this time

I might have been doing this wrong the whole time, Lightning, when you get a time in the DPPt Time Finder 04:02... you have to hit that time right? not reset at that time like I stupidly was? :( I feel so stupid, i have been wasting hours doing it wrong...

But now it appears that i finally did it! and no journal entries with caught or defeated pokemon! :(
 
Wulf: When you hit continue, it must be at that time. Also, if the coin flips don't match up, you didn't get your seed. Next time you do match that delay but get your flips wrong, check the seed given and compare it to that of your target. You'll see they are not the same.
 
Drat...I had the right seed, but all my stupid journal entries had no caught or defeated pokemon *beats the heck out of a wild poke and saves it*
 
Can Pokéradar be abused? Can I be sure that, advancing the RNG correctly, one of the grass tiles will be the shiny Ditto I'm looking for? Or better saying, how does the Pokéradar advance the RNG?
 
Arael you shouldn't use pokeradar, all you have to do is sweet scent it and it should be shiny if you did it correctly..

Several of us have tested it and it is weird. Do tests for yourself to see what you need to do. The first pokeradar use advances by 11 most of the time it seems. I got it to work and get flawless, but wrong pokemon. You need the first one you get the pokemon you want to abuse.


Wulf, some pokemon are radar only.
 
ok im having trouble getting a defeated pokemon on my journal, I keep changing the dates and such, how would this work?
 
ok then, even though i saved an emply slot for my shuckle T_T

ok I just hit the seed again ^_^ (man this was waay easier than i thought, because i've been doing it wrong lol) now 68 journal flips, sweet scent and hopefully flawless shuckle.. ill keep you guys posted on my success

sorry guys... messed up again (switched the synchronizer) drat.. :( stupid mistake

So instead of 2, I should consider the initial frame as 11? Good, so I won't have to advance the RNG by 1 before using the Radar. Let's see what I can get.
 
wow i hit my delay three times in a row, ok i hope i do not make another stupid mistake

Ah, I had a different link and it was coming up as forums or something so I thought you took it down. Nah leave it up, pretty sure a lot of people liked it. If possible check out syberias new spreads, too.

Frustrated, most likely :( But let us know if you can figure out any rhyme or reason for the initial frame jumping around.
