Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I'm trying to breed a shiny Impish Nidoran Female with my Nidoking with Counter and LFs Ditto. So on the shiny finder I put fixed gender and found out what I needed to do to get an Impish one with Poison Point. So I did it all and ended up getting a Nidoran Male. What did I do wrong? Do I have to breed with a Nidoqueen or something? >.<

Yes, you do need to breed with something in the Nidoqueen family. Nidoqueen and Nidoking are from different pokemon families

Wait, I'm confused now... I thought that if you breed with a Nidoking or Nidoqueen it can be Nidoran Male OR Nidoran Female. Do I just need to do it again and try and see if it comes out female or do I need to use a Nidoqueen?

I did some research and found this. I also found out that Nidoqueen/Nidorina cannot breedm only nidoran-f

Does hail mess up coin flips? Because I've hit my seed a lot in hail but have never gotten the right flips, need an explanation on this...

I flip my journal 684 times, sweet scent, I land on frame 1377

I flip my journal 682 times, sweet scent, I land on frame 1369

I want to land on frame 1373. Can anyone shine some light on the situation??

Is there some kind of trick to getting an odd-numbered delay? I need a delay of 611, and I can only ever get even delays like 608 and 610.

EDIT: I'll try putting a GBA game in slot 2. The OP is a goldmine!

im trying to hit my target frame 8 but i keep getting frame 7 and not hitting my delay

this is for breeding what do i do

should i search with frame 7 and find a spread then try hitting my delay that way

Do the moving characters in Solaceon advance the frame? For example if I have a frame of 14 and I am starting on five can I do 4 journal flips and let on of those guys move to hit the frame. Also, when do delays come into play?

Whoa, DerekG, don't get ahead of yourself!
Do the calibration process FIRST. If you do it and know it, things get so much easier.
Know how to hit your delay and what it is on average, as well as your seconds.

I would also suggest catching a wild RNG'd pokémon before trying to breed one up.
The process is a bit more simple, and will make you less angry in the beginning.

And yes, the Solaceon NPCs advance the frame.
There are three of them, and the ones off-screen still mess with you.

During the calibration phase, it is suggested that you capture Pokemon above level 50 ("high level" Pokemon).

Would Pokemon at level 48, 49 or 50 be ok?

I have calibrated. I'm trying to find and hit my correct frame. My second is 14 and delay range is 620-630 with an average of 626.

I guess I'm just looking for trouble shooting on hitting the correct frame....Thanks in advance for the help

Yeah, the other stuff at the Resort Area is fine, too.
The program will tell you if it is too low.

Sorry, Derek, you sounded new.
Side note: Everyone has such a high delay range compared to mine (598-608 avg 602)

Remember to make sure the journal is coming up after the continue screen.
Calibrate for Eggs, if you haven't done so. That way you'll know your started frame. I think you said you've done that, so cool.
After you close that journal, SMASH A FAST, haha, you dont want them moving any more than necessary.
Once the egg is collected, do your 10 coin flips and note the results. Search adjacent data and figure out if you hit your delay correctly.

If so, now just hope you hit your frame, too!

I am new to this lol.
Ok, so I did everything correctly, but when I changed my date on the ds to the day the pokemon was supposed to appear the journal didn't show up...what could be the issue there?

If I remember correctly, the 10 coin flips are the same for each frame, so it doesn't necessarily mean you hit the frame.
But if you hit your delay, and have some clue to what frame you normally get, go for it!
Hatch it and see what comes of it, if it is wrong, try again.
