Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Change the number to something else like 20, or 30 or 99. Not that hard.

Also check the odd/even should match min frame box.

LOL, i'm retarded. Thanks ^_^

Erm, I don't know if I should because for whatever reason (I'm on a dsi) I hit either even or odd, but if you think it'll help, i'll try it =]

Alright, thanks you guys! I got the flips now it's just a matter of correcting the frame if there is a problem. When I get trade thread the three of you (yawg07,gamer22, rysta) can get any dude you want. haha, I'm stoked.

w00t! Excellent, thanks :)

thats the thing, I can't add any more 0s at the end...

You won't need to, I guarantee you should be able to find just about any spread you want in like the first 20, as long as at least one of your parents is good.

DSi shouldn't matter. I thought it would at first, too.
I've RNG'd several pokémon now on my DSi :) My delays are very consistently even.

^_^.

Okay, Journal popping up = +2 but thats already including when I was finding my frame

So my target frame is 11.
So Journal pops up, I flip it twice to get +4. Then spam A to collect egg.
Then coin flip to check I've got the right Delay/seconds?
I can't use the pokemon initial seed checker because I'm about to leave the pc =[

Remember the journal popping up and flipping only counts when the pages have a Caught/Defeated pokémon.
Just making sure you've got everything covered :)

But everything you've said there is correct.

I am now officially thanking all of the forum posters here on DPPt PRNG Research thread, especially Mingot, and LightningFusion, because I've just successfully RNG'ed abused:D This is a great day! Seriously thank you all, it took me long enough to do it to:D

How much does a moving NPC advances the frame. Since I'm on a frame of 5, and I want to get on a frame of 17 => 6 journal flips, I press start and bash A as fast as possible, but somehow, the cowgirl always manages to move even before I can collect the egg. This is really frustrating me.

Anyone can help me? Or do I need to bash A even faster...?

Remember, there are a few more, and they may move even when you don't see them.
I think some of them moving is what MAKES the frame what it is.

For example, my starting frame is 5, whether or not the visible cowgirl moved.

EDIT: CONGRATS Shelcario! Exciting isn't it? I'm working on #7 for RNG, now. Shiny Tangela named SPAGETT!

Is it possible to use the same spread over and over again for different pokemon?

I just realised what I thought was a flawless pokemon turned out wrong =[.
I must've got my frame wrong cos I hit my delay ^_^, oh well I'll keep trying but I think I'll have to restart from scratch as I saved over =/

Okay, if you spam A, before the cowgirl on screen moves, do you ALWAYS hit frame. I've been experimenting and I'm getting quite a few 5s.

So now I know that I'll always start on frame 5 if I spam A button correctly. I'm hoping to use same info for all eggs hatch'd lol ^_^.
Well, it's like 1am where I am.Be back tomorrow where I really hope I will get that first RNG abused pokemon ^_^

Can anyone verify if the Encounter Slots listed for Wayward Cave (Main) are correct? http://www.eggmove.com/encounterdiamond.htm

I'm fairly certain they're all wrong as I've caught 3 different pokemon from various spreads, non of which match the encounter slots that comes listed with RNG Reporter. The IVs are all correct.

Make that 4 pokemon with the correct spread IVs but the wrong Encounter Slot.

Try to keep close track on the variation HOW you press A, also how quickly the Continue screen goes away.
Remember to check the coin flips, too, so you know whats too fast or slow.

Just confirming something before I go for my first high-ish frame.

Target: 931
Journal: 463 (x2=926)
Move one step (=927)
Fish (=931)

And the frame is advanced by one if you move one space while surfing, right? In other words, is it the same as grass?

Yes, you're correct.
