Thanks. So you would recommend a 252hp/252def/4Spa (or SpD) set?
Or would 219 SpA (with 52 SpA EV) be worth it for the 2HKO on Skarmory and Weezing?
tbh it depends on your team, if you want swampert to check DDmence use 252hp/252def to have the max chance of surviving an outrage

Is there any one Pokémon that anyone can think of that would be the easiest to chain for a shiny? I want my SID in my Platinum and don't have any legit shinies (and don't want to go through PokéSav). I don't think there's anywhere Radar-able where any one Pokémon has an encounter rate of over 50%, is there? I just want the best chance to keep my chain going should I mess up.

What's that new badge that's been popping up lately?

this one:

edit: never mind, I got it. Smog Staff ftw.

I see, so either spreads will be equally usable then if I already have a check against a sweeper like Salamence as my other member.
I guess that I will just try them out and see.
Thanks!

blast you sceats D:<

Anyway: What's a good counter to Mixmence? and to Mixape?
MixMence had no 'definitive counter', though Porygon 2 and Cresselia can handle it to some extent. As for MixApe, Starmie and Tentacruel are both awesome MixApe counters.

Where do you get items such as Salac berry and its relatives?

And if you can't get them in between emerald/leaf green etc. which I have on top of platinum....why do they put them into the game?

what a rip. So I have to own either a Wii or a gamecube in order to get this, and who would buy PBR with its aweome review of 5.0/10, I actually do have a gamecube, but again, I'd have to buy a very mediocre game in order to get it, and whats even worse is a DS can't connect to a gamecube so i'd actually have to buy a GBA too......nintendo take some things too far....the chinpokomon episode of south park is tooooo right

but also what is IIRC? and surely if you 'steal' an item in battle tower you don't keep it afterwards

IIRC= If I Remember Correctly

And you can keep the item if you 'steal' it from the BT. (though if you lost an item, you won't lose it after BT).

And oh, if you're desperate for them, just ask for them in wifi section (there's a sticky thread for item requests and Pokemon requests). I'm sure some are willing to give you the berries (some or all) for little to no price.

If i use exp share to level up a freshly bred pokemon that i plan to build up, does it gain the Evs from said pokemon?..

example,
lvl 100 Groudon is exp sharing to lvl 1 sneasle and i speed run it through the elite 4, would it gain any possible EV's via exp share? or just the experience?

Thanks for the reply ;)

Nope, any changes to a Pokemon's item don't stay. If you had an itemless Pokemon steal an enemy's item in battle 1, it'll be itemless again in battle 2.

If it gets experience, it gets EVs. So while you can't use stuff like the E4 to grind up your Sneasel for EVing, you CAN pit your Sneasel against something like a Machamp, immediately switch it out for something else, and Sneasel will get the Attack EVs that Machamp gives.

my DS has problems connecting to GTS so I don't think it'll work with wi-fi
my old router had problems, my new one is even worse

as for training without EVs, I trained a sneasel yesterday, just put it in the daycare centre for a few levels, I normally do till lvl 15, that way you don'tget EVs....but I'm not sure how the move overwriting there works (when they learn new level up moves they might overwrite one of your old ones). At level 15 my sneasel was good enough to kill magikarp for speed EVs, and for attack EVs I just gave it an xp share and thought the guy with 2 gyarados and the richboy with luxray on route 222, an easy way to get attack EVs, a lot ofp exerience, and money too

Okay, let me try this again

Im looking for a good lead and a good tank, But IDK which ones would be good
Can someone help me out on this?

2 questions:

What are the highest possible IV's for a HP Fire Cresselia ( Bold ) ?

What is a good EV spread for a bulky DD Kingdra ?

thx in advance.

If a Darkrai/Smeargle use Dark Void in a double battle, and the move is Magic Coated, will both opposing pokemon be put to sleep?

How many Attack EVs does neutral Rhyperior need to 2KO Blissey?

It doesn't need any Attack EVs if it wants to 2HKO the standard WishBliss set. All it needs is an Adamant nature.

347 Atk vs 119 Def & 651 HP (100 Base Power): 418 - 492 (64.21% - 75.58%)

If you want to OHKO it, you need 252 Attack EVs and a Life Orb.

416 Atk vs 119 Def & 651 HP (100 Base Power): 650 - 766 (99.85% - 117.67%)
