Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

To check your seed I don't think you would need to do anything more than just the coin flipping to verify your seed. and yes you can stand in front of the daycare lady and do your coin flips/happiness taps in front of the lady (that's what I do).

QUESTION:
When you open your journal (not flip) to a page that says you've caught a pokémon, does that count as advancing the RNG by 2? or is it ONLY when you flip to a page, and not open your journal to it?

For catching yes it counts and it would advance by 2, breeding im not sure... :)

Ok now for the breeding, I was reading on the calibration and finding a spread, but is it really any different from using a spread from the wichu program?

Ok I understand I have to use the DPPt Egg tab for a spread, but can I use the same regular average delay I use for other things in the tab (the same one you got with calibration a while ago)?

When abusing for egg IVs, 9/10 times there's going to be some spread that you can hit with your delay (atleast, if you've got good enough parents to cover the A's/B's in the spread). So you shouldn't have trouble finding a one on or near your average delay with a resonable frame.

Question. I am RNG-ing for the Zapdos prof Oak releases (using method 1 obviously). If I open my journal to a page that says I've caught a pokemon (not flipped to, opened the journal to), does that advance the RNG? I asked this question before, but I'm still not sure. Steevee said it does for captured pokemon, but I don't know if that includes the three birds or not.

Yup still counts :)

Ok so If I have this spread from the DPPt Egg Ivs tab:

221102802010 01 2017:00:14 63012 31 31 31 B A B T, H, H, H, H, H, T, H, H, T

B is going to have the Iv of the second Parent and A is going to have the IV of the first Parent correct? And since I already set the nature and ability for the shiny egg, I won't have to worry about losing that when I abuse for ivs?

I have little to no experience with Gen 5 so any input is helpful :D

[Overview]

Although Drapion hasn't gained anything significant in Gen 5, it already posesses everything it needs to succeed in OU. It's one of only three phazing Toxic Spikers (the others being Nidoqueen and Nidoking), also being the fastest of the three with 95 base Speed, and the only one that can effectively wall Reuniclus. Its 110 base Defense provides good bulk, while its less-than-stellar Special Defense is covered by its Poison / Dark typing, which gives it an immunity to common Psychic attacks and a resistance to Ghost attacks, two largely special-attacking types. Drapion can also dent several Pokemon with its 90 base Attack and decent STAB moves. All in all, Drapion is an excellent niche Pokemon that shouldn't be underestimated.

[SET]
name: Toxic Spikes
move 1: Toxic Spikes
move 2: Taunt / Whirlwind
move 3: Crunch
move 4: Earthquake
item: Leftovers
nature: Careful
evs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

This set is Drapion's best attempt at competing in the OU environment. Due to its bulk and Speed, it can easily set up two layers of Toxic Spikes and utilize Whirlwind to phaze the opponent. Taunt prevents other Pokemon such as Ferrothorn and Skarmory from setting up, and it also prevents Reuniclus from beating you one on one. Crunch gives Drapion a reliable STAB move for beating Ghost- and Psychic-types, and Earthquake is the best option to hit Steel- and Poison-types super effectively, two common enemies of Toxic Spikers.

[ADDITIONAL COMMENTS]

As for other options, Drapion can hold a Balloon to remove its only weakness, though it is lost after one hit. Alternatively, you can pair Drapion with a Flying-type such as Skarmory or a Pokemon with Levitate such as Bronzong. Knock Off can be used instead of Taunt or Whirlwind, which can be helpful when it comes to removing Choice items and Leftovers. Wish support is recommended when using Drapion as as it has no form of reliable recovery; Pokemon such as Vaporeon and Jirachi are great options due to their good defensive stats.

Partners who can take advantage of Toxic Spikes are helpful, especially those who have access to Substitute to stall the opponent and worsen poison damage. Pokemon such as SubCM Jirachi and Torment Heatran are great options due to their excellent typing and decent defensive stats. Another partner to consider is a Pokemon who can block Rapid Spin; Ghost-types such as Jellicent, Golurk, and Dusknoir are great options, and each of them have decent stats and unique support moves. This set also appreciates support from entry hazards as Drapion is such a good phazer, examples include Skarmory, Metagross, and Forretress.

[Other Options]

A Choice Band set could be used with its decent movepool, but Drapion will have trouble sweeping in the Gen 5 OU enviroment due to an array of faster, more deadly sweepers. Swords Dance is available, though Drapion is too vulnerable to faster Earthquakes and is generally outclassed. Pursuit can be used to hit Ghost- or Psychic-types as they switch out, and is a nice STAB move. Drapion also has access to the elemental fangs, they aren't the most powerful moves around, but they help provide type coverage. A gimmick set with Sniper, Scope Lens, and attacks with a high critical hit rate could be used for laughs. Acupressure can be used to raise Drapion's stats randomly, though this is very unreliable and will usually end in a disaster.

[Checks & Counters]

Taunters with Mischevious Heart such Whimsicott or Thunderus can prevent Drapion from using Toxic Spikes and Whirlwind, effectively crippling the set. Nidoking can absorb Toxic Spikes as well as hit Drapion with STAB Encourage-boosted Ground-type moves, though Drapion is faster and has access to Earthquake to hit Nidoking super effectively. Skarmory is not only immune to Toxic Spikes, even when grounded, but it is also immune to Earthquake and has access to Whirlwind to phaze Drapion. Breloom is also problematic; not only does it have Poison Heal, but Spore gives Breloom a much easier time setting up, though it will have hard time KOing Drapion. Forretress can remove entry hazards with Rapid Spin, while taking little damage from any of Drapion's attacks and having access to Earthquake to hit it super effectively.

[Dream World]

Drapion gains Keen Eye as its Dream World ability, though it's pretty useless because there are no common moves which lower accuracy.

For me, this is a delicate system and I have to be sure that I am precise in this so in turn no I didn't know exactly. Sometimes I second guess myself. Something I can't help.

Quick question. I'm wanting to adjust my frame (I needed odd but I ended up with an even frame), so I saved the game and now the journal doesn't show up. Now I know I need to catch a Pokemon to get the journal to pop up again, but my question is, will I need to find the seed of the new Pokemon and do more Poketch taps, or can I just straight back into trying to hit my spread after catching the Pokemon and saving?

Or would just saving on a different date get the journal to appear?

When RNG-ing for birds, do you need to start the game on a certain app before you go to the coin flip app and check to see if you hit the correct target time?

your journal should be in your key items...

When I use a seed from the DPPt Shiny Egg tab, does it matter if I have one international parent?

as long as you use the International Method from the dropdown list I don't think it should matter.

That's not what I was asking. :P

I meant will catching a Pokemon and saving on a different date than my spread get the journal to appear when I boot up the game (so I can adjust the frame with page flips)?

Nevermind, I figured it out. :P

Well there's no difference for me using the normal or international method so I guess I'm fine. Now the article didn't say anything about frames, so do I want to ignore the frame it gives me and just do the taps/flips?

to check my flips, the pokecth must be on another app, or the same when you start he game?
i saw a post, and it confused me.

to check my flips, the pokecth must be on another app, or the same??

???
To check your Coin Flips obviously your APP should be on the Coin Flips APP
EDIT: Pastel I think you need to read over the Guide a few more times as most of your questions have been directly right in the guide

Ok some how not did I not get the right nature, but the pokemon was not shiny. This is what I did: got the spread from the DPPt Shiny Egg Tab, Saved and Sr'd infront of the day care lady, did my 10 coin flips then did the required taps and switched to do the required coin flips, then immediately deposited my parents. Is there anything I did wrong there? If you need additional info, let me know.

What guide should I reference when trying to manipulate method 1 pokemon? IE, I want to get a perfect fossil, but they aren't hatched or wondercard pokemon? Thanks.

Judging from your lot of previous posts, did you go with an international parent after all? Otherwise you miscounted on your flips / taps.
