I want to see an "RPG" element of the game where you can make decisions. I think it should all have the same end result, and it shouldn't branch off to the point of being evil, but mayby...choosing to infiltrate the evil team like in HG/SS or fight them outright, with positives and negatives to each.

And if anyones seen the news about how in HG/SS slots get changed to minesweeper, I hope they do something like this. First off, I'm good at minesweeper :) And mayby something else that actually involves skill. Or bring back roulette

Well, we did get a Water/Bug in 3rd gen... Remember Surskit? It's NFE, and its evolution, Masquerain isn't exactly that good either, but the point is there is a pokemon with that type combo;>

Believe me, I know it exists. I used one a while back in Saphire (First pokemon I found on that route, actually). I love Surskit, and Masquerain has enough attacks that it WOULD be interesting if it wasn't freaking Bug/Flying with really bad stats, but NO. The gave it the Corsola shaft. (bad type and stats, good everything else)

I want a REAL bug/water that STAYS bug water and will always BE bug water. Preferably one with good stats.

LOL! Thanks for the advice Sonic.

Why thank you. First, you test. Then, you get the pokemon the FUCK AWAY FROM OU.

Hopefully it would either have poor stats, or be so powerful that it gets easily made Uber by both Smogon and VGC.

I'm hoping for option 2. Because even with low stats, when UU is organised it will still be a nightmare.

I was sure having the space for 540 different 'mons was enough...

When there is (estimated) 600 pokemon, it isn't. Expecially for the Bikdiponabus's of the world who want to even have NFEs in the boxes.

I want a Kangaskhan pre-evolution so badly, I've been waiting for one ever since RBY.

Except you'd need an Incense to allow it, so as to keep with continuity. Whoops!

Of all the pokemon to be released, a Legendary (and surely Uber) Fire/Dragon and/or Ice/Dragon would be awesome. Other than that, I'd like a decent Steel/Ghost type, modeled on a possessed suit of armour.

I think a Poison/Dragon could be pretty interesting to see. With good stats and levitate, it could probably be OU, as well as a really unique type with only resistances to gain.

I want there to be a HM Belt or Armband, it uses HMs but then HMs will need to be hard to find because it will make the game too easy.

I always wanted an Arbok evolving into a Hydra, getting 3 heads, losing a bunch of speed in exchange for both attacking stats, HP and a bit in defenses. And gaining the Dragon typing. With Arbok's movepool coupled with the dragon moves it could be quite a potent wallbreaker with a few exploitable weaknesses.

Would just like to point out that the Poison type would make it weak to Psychic, but it would be a cool addition nontheless.

A non-legendary Dragon/Steel though, with levitate... Would only be weak to Fighting, and only a x2 weakness. Also 11 resistances and 1 immunity. That screams overpowered, but would be hilarious:P Could possibly be the next Psuedo-legendary, that has the type and ability that makes it insane, instead of very high stats. Physical Blissey anyone? It wouldn't even need as high stats, because of the countless resistances that Blissey doesn't have. It's ironically sharing its only weakness with Blissey so I would expect fighting moves to be really overused if they ever made a Dragon/Steel with levitate:P

I got it, Minum and Plusle should get a fusion form:

"FUUUU-SHIOON-HA!!!"

Like Mina-usle, with epic stats and awesomeness. :P

I would love for the game to open with the vast majority of pokemon available right from the start.

I don't want my only option for a flying starter bird to be a Starly. I want to pick from Pidgey, Spearow, Taillow, Hoot Hoot and Starly. Maybe take a quick trip to the plains and catch a Doduo who can fly for whatever reason. I want to pick any fast-evolving bug I damn well please, not just Kricketot. Maybe even have a full team of Bidoof and Rattatas! Of course we will always have to craw through hell to catch Milotic (fucking Febas), Lapras or Scyther but it would be nice to start the game off with the national dex as opposed to some crappy regional one which never gets the right pokemon early enough to warrent more then a single playthrough.

It would also allow opposing trainers to be more varied. I've butchered enough Puruglys in my time, thank you.

I'm just excited for the whole new world that they're going to make for us. I can just imagine the starters are going to be sick.

For some reason though.. i have a feeling we're going to be let down dramatically.

Even though the creator of the Pokemon had over 1,000+ Pokemon before it all ever started.

Yea, I think one of the previous suggestions is the perfect compromise for gamefreak to "keep the learning curve small for kiddies."

Just have difficulty levels like most games :P

Easy that would be pathetically easy. Normal as is the norm. Hard for a bit of a challenge (maybe each gym trainer has 1 more poke, higher levels, betters sets etc.), and maybe a "chaos" or "universe" mode with like 6 pokemon gym leader battles, constant gang ups by the bad team and "battle tower" type sets and great teams for the elite 4 :P

Problem with difficulty settings are that they don't stop patient people from sitting around, leveling up, and progressing through the game with ease, or simply trading over competitive Pokemon from another game (badge limitations and maybe preventing trades with other games could solve the latter).

I would love a Dodrio mode for ingame purposes, but I still don't think that would help 6v6. Even on Shoddy, which is even faster than a dodrio mode since it skips all battle animations and end of turn effects, one battle between two stall teams can take forever.

But does it take longer than a 4vs4 double battle on DS/PBR (I really don't know, I never played doubles in DPPt)?

Besides, doesn't these tournaments have a time limit? I mean, with Doduo/trio Tower and a 20 minute limit, only stall battles would be incomplete. At least offensive/balanced teams would have no problem, right?

I'm also hoping they MAYBE make the elite 4 a little better. They started this in dp with giving each of them a non type poke, so continuing this trend (instead of regressing like plat) would be nice. I'd even be up for an Elite 4 based on "styles" (offense, defense, evasion) instead of types, with the champion being some balance.

I'd like if, besides the non-type pokémon, they made the E4 members to have two types each, one being the primary (say, Electric) and the other, the secondary (Steel). Then say, the Electric type would be pretty obvious by the E4 room, and also his/her talk (they always says which type they're specialized on, iirc); only the secondary would not be revealed until the battle. The E4 would have 5 pokémon, 3+ of them being part-Electric, and 2+ being part-Steel. 4+ of them would have an Electric move, and 3+ would have a Steel move. At least 2 of them would be Electric but not Steel, and at least 1 would be Steel but not Electric.

An example would be:

Raichu (Thunderbolt)
Lanturn (Thunder Wave)
Probopass (Flash Cannon, Zap Cannon)
GLISCOR (Steel Wing)
Magnezone (Flash Cannon, Thunderbolt)

3 Electrics, 2 Steels. 4 have an Electric move, 3 have a Steel move. 2 are Electric and non-Steel, and 1 is Steel and Non-Electric. And even then, there were room left for a wild card that *tries* to compensate the horrible shared weakness the team has.

This could be done specially to give more room for the E4 members to have a good, balanced team. Really, one thing is to have a Gym Leader specialized in one type, but the Elite? How can be they be considered the "best trainers" if one Earthquake could take down the entire team of an E4 (yeah I know my example has two 4x Ground weak pokémon, but bear with me)? One thing is to have it easier for kids, other is have the idea dumbed down. They could compensate this "variety" with lower levels, if they wished. 46-58, the range used in RSE, would be enough instead of the 53-66 from D/P (with got nerfed to 49-66 in Plat, at least).

Besides, it would also give more freedom to the game developers in the future. What if they decide to have another Psychic E4? Would they use the Ralts line, Bronzong, Alakazam, Jynx again? Would the Fighting E4 have yet again have a Machamp? Or would they be Psychic/Water and Fighting/Flying, giving room for shit like Swampert and Honchkrow? Etc etc.

If any gen 5 games are realesed I hope they streamling the iv breeding system. I stopped playing cartridge because it was so difficult to get perfect ivs. They could introduce a sort of "hidden" feature to change ivs i.e.- a gene splicer or something. Sort of the way they had the reseruction machine for aerodactyl. Anyways just a thought.

I would really enjoy being able to have difficulty settings for the AI that would effect specifically the AI you fight in Trainer, Gym and Elite Four Battles. As it stands now, Game Freak isn't going to make the AI more difficult than it has to be for children to enjoy the game, but I don't see why there couldn't be an option that increases difficulty for those of us who find plowing through the Elite Four and Rival battles mind numbingly boring when they're supposed to give you a challenge of epic proportion, so to speak.

Same here, however, an AI can't really "predict", unless it takes perceived information and makes a solution out of it, which would be much harder to program; even so, the "prediction" part of the AI might be exploitable.

AI doesn't need to predict. It can runoff a simple...

Check Each Pokemon Type
Check for possible SE hit
Attack Accordingly or switch accordingly

Um... switch? I used Peterko's team in the battle tower (trick lead Latias, Reigsteel, Garchomp), and the AI NEVER switched on me. Ever. Not even the multiple times it was locked into Thunder Wave against my Garchomp with a Sub up (so there are two reasons the move wouldn't work).

I think at least some of the AI should switch, like elite four. I mean come on, if a 7 year old is smart enough to make it to the battle frontier, or even elite four, the can decide that if they have a pakichu with thunderbolt and (lol) slam, opponet has a milotic out, and a sandslash in the wings, they should use slam

He's suggesting that the Gen V AI include a method to determine when to switch.
