I'd love to see strong physical moves for fire and electric esp
more than flareon, i'd love to have electivire have a powerful stab'd physical move :(
Electivire used Electric Dynamic Punch: It's superduper effective :D!?
Through, the Eevee's need way more love, At first, they all need a few Base Stats in HP bonus :). There's gotta be some Signature Eevee move, which can swap its type and power for each pokemon (Fire Psychical for Flareon, Water Special for Vaporeon) with 100 BP!

I think that would be awesome, the Eevee Only thingy :d!

And about the Electric Dynamic Punch, you believe some moves will get secondary types (Fire Punch being Fire/Fighting), to help with the metagame becoming more diverse!?

Tbh I feel like GF needs to come up with stricter limitations on moves so that a lot more moves are viable and a few moves aren't "the best" (i.e. Ice Beam to Powder Snow). PP doesn't affect the game enough and accuracy makes the game a luck fest. Other restrictions such as recoil, locking moves, and stat drops are the right idea (though stat drops are a little lame in that you can just switch out of them). This is why I suggested a Stamina stat--it would affect the game far more than PP, and it would also make sense flavor-wise.

I'm actually pretty curious to see how the starters will turn out in Gen 5, Diamond and pearl introduced two new unique typing's in grass/ground and steel/water. With many more unique typing's left unmade it'll be interesting to see what they come up with. Some kind of grass/electric would be cool

I actually think the design of the hidden poke looks better if they did indeed make the tail and hair separate things and not as one giant bush with a pony tail, but i guess we'll see.

Considering each new gen has brought about some change in the way battles are played out, eg Ev, special split, its hard to believe they wouldn't do something like this this generation too, but I can't think of anything that they could change and still make it feel like pokemon, maybe an extra stat? or including another way to mess around with the stats either way it'll be interesting to see

^However, there's no way the lower portion is a tail, as it's not connected to the back of the torso or anything--just to the rest of the hair.

I think IVs should either be abolished, or made manipulatable. (Perhaps the Vitamins and Berries could switch to affecting IVs instead of EVs). By doing so, you make competitive Pokemon easier to obtain. By doing THAT, you encourage cartridge players to try different Pokemon and different tactics, since it's so much easier to get a great Pokemon - you just catch it, give it a load of Vitamins, and EV it. Take a couple hours I reckon, not including the time hammering the E4 for money.

I hope we can agree that more people trying novel tactics is a good thing.

It would also reduce the incentive to cheat. At present traditional breeding takes ages, and RNG manipulation is a complicated business - the temptation to just hack a perfect Pokemon is huge. If the legitimate method's made much easier, why cheat?
Abolishing it takes all the luck out of it though. Yeah I don't mind the random crits and para hax, it's part of the game. I mean there has to be some difficult to getting them.

Stamina is by far the most logical way to make the game work. Just thinking about it now, stamina is a stat in almost every ASB game around and it also plays a major part in the battles we see in the anime. Pokemon are quite often panting and their attacks sometimes get visibly weaker.
Hell sometimes a poke will come out of it's ball and not be able to do anything. (I know that happens in Viridian forrest with pidgeotto.)

Not to break anyones back in astonishment, but this pokemon will be nicknamed 'Z' in the next pokemon movie, and the name will be revealed early on corocoro on the 15th.

Also, Z is supposed to be an identical shadow version of ash, which hints that Z is part Dark or Ghost.

Also, be there on the 15th/16th to see if serebii has pics of corocoro up =)

I apologize if this has already been mentioned.

EDIT:

I'm assuming due to the fox muzzle that it is related to shaymin/vulpix in some way, that or it is an entirely new pokemon.

^Not necessarily. Z is quite likely connected to the Shadow Ash/Satoshi seen in the 13th movie trailer, but I don't believe that has actually been confirmed yet.

Good sir (or ma'am), that is the most plausable idea I've heard in YEARS to boost the eeveelutions besides a physical Hidden Power (But that wasn't in context for the Eeveelutions, that was for things like Luxray as well). And I've heard some CRAZY ideas.

I just think the Eevee's need more love, when playing the normal game, they are awesome (through, even Kakuna stands a chance raping the E4, except for the Ghosts...). The 100 BP Eeveelution Move which changed was a great idea to me, I think it would be like:
Psychical:
Normal, Dark, Grass (eventually a newFighting/Steel/Dragon/whatev Eevee)
Special:
Psychic, Water, Electric, Ice (and any new types being more special, which could be Dragon, Ghost...)?

Kind Regards

love the eevee things

about the Z, it looks more like a relative to lucario anyway, and it makes sense since ash is supposed to have latent aura powers, so if it's a dark incarnation of ash it must be related to lucario

As much as I'd like to see it, the best we can hope for is a Eevee-like Judgement. In other words, all moves so far (even type-changing like Hidden Power or Judgement) are always either physical, or special. There is no move which can change from physical to special, depending on any variable.

EDIT: Also, 800 posts <3

EDIT2: I don't want to say that it is impossible. I just think it is very unlikely.

From what we've seen so far is entirely flawed logic. Gamefreak could change a move from physical to special based on that particular Pokemon's highest stat, with ties leaning towards one or the other. Hell, it could base it on whichever would do the most damage to the given mon, Ala Porygon Z's download, but running full damage calcs.

True, but they could just make the move the type of the Eevee evo, along with the type of move (physical vs. special) being based upon the individual evolution's highest stats.

So:

Vaporeon: Water-Special
Jolteon: Electric-Special
Flareon: Fire-Physical
Umbreon: Dark-Physical
Espeon: Psychic-Special
Leafeon: Grass-Physical
Glaceon: Ice-Special

Seems like the idea could work.

EDIT: Restating ftl. Anyways, my point was a code could easily check for the highest stat of that pokemon (not necessarily base stat, so Umbreon with a Calm nature would have dark special), and change accordingly (physical vs. special).

Well, if movie 13 is inspired by the netherlands and belgium, maybe Z is something dutch-related. Not really sure what, then, but could be, not?

^I'm liking the idea of an Eeveelution version of Judgement. Also, I'd like to see more eeveelutions in gen 5. Four maybe? Say, Draconeon (Dragon), Spectreon (Ghost), Gusteon (first pure-flying type), and Eeveon (Normal). Or perhaps Poison, Steel or Fighting variants. Just give them good spreads, so they don't all end up in NU, a la Leafeon and Glaceon.

Side note: I'd like better distribution of Nasty Plot in Gen V - it's learnt by pitfully few 'mon currently, and AFAIK the only other +2 SpAtk move is Tail Glow, which is learnt by _two_ pokemon. So, either better distribution, or another move that does the same thing (the idea behnd NP is more restrictive than, say, Swords Dance)

I think the first pure flying in the game being an Eeve would be a little weird. I mean, if they're to make a pure flying, do a completely new Pokémon!

Nintendo has seemed to have trolled a huge number of people in the Pokemon community so far.

Learning from the Brawl site, I take whatever Nintendo says with a grain of salt. Remember how they trolled everyone into thinking Ness wasn't going to return, as well as a numerous number of other things? Yeah, I'm not worrying about the battle system. It really shouldn't be discussed.

One of the few things that statement says to me is that they're either giving personal custimization of characters/pokemon, different looks in each individual pokemon (IE NEP), or a better story. Personally, any of these changes would make me say "I get to add my own touch to my character/pokemon? No way, that doesn't happen in pokemon games. I don't have to become a Pokemon master? That's not Pokemon!"

TL;DR: Don't jump to worst case case scenarios. You're only unnerving youself and others.

I'm from the Netherlands, and I cannot remember those movies being promoted around, I guess we're still at move 8 or- so? Anyways, We shall se :)!?

Dragon Dance á la + 1 SpA, + 1 Spe
So, Special Dragon Dance, would be awesome, but overpowered, I guess!

^oh yes, special DD would be great too, especially for Kingdra - currently, DD kingdra is super predictable, and special kingdra has no way to boost its offenses, bar BPing it something.

Maybe instead, a move tutor who would teach a signature move of each eeveelutions, to avoid the whole "switching attack stat" problem.

Definately this. Then each of them wouldn't have to get an attacking move. Why wouldn't they want an attacking move with STAB and 100bp? Well, they would, unless they're called Umbreon. Umbreon want's something defensive-minded (or something that uses one of its defenses as the basis for attack power:D OP ftw). The move turtor idea would make that possible, as you could just make different attacks with a purpose fitting the evolutions purpose and stats.

If not that, just include the attacks in their movesets to learn when they evolve, no matter which level they are when they do. Seems easier to me. Would make them stand out a little more in comparison to other pokemon of their type, since they would be the only ones getting that move.

They said "There’s a character named Ness who has appeared in the Smash Bros. series up until now", they also said the exact same thing with the Mario Tornado in an earlier update, but it also returned in the form of his Down Air. People were stupid and didn't find this piece of info until waaaaay after Brawl's release, and most people still don't know it because of that. Nintendo trolled nobody, we just misunderstood.

Now that thats out of the way, heres some info.

Nintendo has TONS of sites that redirect to the main site. Pokemoncrater, Whitegold, Amethyst....

They take any domains they can JUST IN CASE THEY'LL EVER NEED THEM.

There is absolutely no evidence that amethyst has anything to do with Gen 5. You have to wait for the game names themselves to come out if you want the game names.

Too bad. So sad.

If Z is supposed to be a "shadow" version of Ash, this just makes my earlier speculation that they're introducing a "new" typing (the Shadow typing from Collo, but hopefully nerfed) that much more plausible.
