Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Sry I think I made that sound worse then it is. Just redo what you did yesterday (finding delay/second), but make sure PikaTimer isn't lagging. An easy lag test is to set a 1 minute timer, synchronize it to an external clock, and see if it stops on the same second it started.

i think my computer is lagging in a whim, as when i put in this

Calibrated Delay: 632
Wanted Delay: 700

Calibrated Seconds: 16
Wanted Seconds: 20

and i got

Seconds: 11
Delay: 682

Seconds: 20
Delay: 822

and when I went back to the way I was doing it before, just to see, I got

Seconds: 51 (wtf?)
Delay: 800

I am utterly, and wholly confused @_@

Hi, im new here, would anyone please help me get my secret code, the pokemon i used
is a shiny walrein, caught in ruby, brave nature, hidden power fighting, and the trained id is 52529
i used metal kids gaming resources and it gave me this---> Walrein - #365 (Brave): 6 / 12 / 30 / 26 / 20 / 6
then i got this PID: 0323276177 [1344CD91] | Created by Method 4 | Gender Number: 145 | Ability: 1
i tried to get my secret code and i got 57557 but im not so sure. Could someone please verify this. I would really appreciate it.

Please do not make "Help me find my SID" requests in this thread! For that you may use the Simple Questions sticky in this forum. If you have a naturally caught (non-chained, non-bred) shiny you can get your SID from RNG Reporter. If you have between 4 and 7 chained shinies you can get your SID from RNG Reporter.

Surprisingly, those results make sense! The 1st attempt seems like a mistake though (or you got 53 seconds of lag on the 1st timer and -2 on the 2nd O.o). The 2nd attempt is right on assuming 14/632 is right. (16-14)*60=120+700=820. The 3rd attempt was also correct (assuming your timers were 45.13 and 16.87).

EDIT: Of course if you were lagging during this test then my interpretation is wrong and I'm equally lost.

how is my second attempt right on if I got neither my target time or my target delay though? and as for the third attempt, my timers were 35.13 and 16.87, but I don't see how those are right on the money as well

First off, you hit your target second on the 2nd and 3rd attempt. Secondly, since you put 16 as your calibrated instead of 14 it made you wait 2 seconds longer for your delay. 2 secs = 120 delay, and 822 - 120 = 702 (2 away from your target counts imo). Thirdly, 35.13 + 16.87 = 52 (I originally meant 35, using 12 instead of 22 ftl). You hit continue a bit early, so it's perfectly reasonable that you were still on second 51.

so, since this is hypothetically without delay, then what do i have to do so that my delays match up as well as my times?

Nothing else, leave the timers alone when created with 14/632. Being off by 2-4 (.03-.06 seconds) is well within expectation. I'm a bit confused as to how you hit your delay with lag, but hey not all mysteries are solved :P.

so just use the timers as they are when i put 14 in for calibrated seconds, and 632 in for calibrated delay? because i just tried that, and it didn't work

Calibrated Seconds: 14
Calibrated Delay: 632

Target Seconds: 14
Target Delay: 804

and I got

Seconds: 5
Delay: 664

Damnit there goes the consistency (though the 9 sec offset matches attempt 1). If you start a 60 second timer on 0 seconds does the timer run out at 0 of the next minute? If not, when does it stop? At this point, the only answer I can come up with is your comp switches between running PikaTimer normally, too slowly, and too quickly. I can't think of any other reason you'd hit such a low delay 9 seconds early on one attempt, the correct delay 22 secs late on another, and the correct second and delay on another.

hm, so my computer's my downfall? what you said is proving to be true, the timer either seems to run as slow as molasses, or really really fast. i think a different (and newer) computer in my house might run Pikatimer much more reliably than this old, virus ridden computer. I'll try it out tomorrow, and if you're going to be around i'd really appreciate some help calibrating it. thanks so much for bearing with me through all of this, but for now, i'm going to go watch the olympics XD

I got the same PID 1344CD91, Method 4, but your compatable SID is 05088

How can I manage to see the clock when I soft reset if i'm using my diamond in a flashcart?
I hate rng abusing on my flash cart so I try not to do it, but one method I found successful was to eject the cart, set the time 1 min before my target, then use emloop timer. You put 60 in the 1st small box then your calibrated delay in the 1st box up the top.

Hit space bar at the same time as you press 'A' to change the time.

Pop your flash back in and load the game up while the timer counts down

When the timer hits 0, SR at the same time, I hold down L+Start+Select then as the time hits zero I tap 'R'

Then you either mash 'A' for your typical delay or wait til the 2nd timer counts down to press 'A' on the continue screen for your larger delays.

EDIT: The reason I pop my cart out is cos my Cyclo is quite old and doesn't have an option to change the time when it boots up on its menu so I need it out to use the DS main menu. If you can adjust the time with your flash in, by all means skip that step.

Anyone who has MSN/ AIM and would like to help me breed perfect shiny Pokémon please PM me. I'm not able to follow the guide with expected results it seems. Whoever does this for me will receive a copy of every Pokémon I breed.

I'm having a rather perplexing problem, I managed to find a computer that runs PikaTimer reliably, but something weird is still happening. My target time i'm trying to hit is 14:01:14 and I have the Pikatimer set so that it will give me my delay and a seconds value of fourteen. The two timers it gave me are 57:13 16:87. I've been resetting at 14:00:00 and following these timers, but have been consistently landing on a spread that is on 14:01:36. I have tried all sorts of solutions, like removing 22 seconds from the first timer, but that didn't work. I also tried to get to a different spread 14:53:36 using the same timer, but I didn't land on that spread. Since this computer is running without lag, I'm at a loss to what is transpiring here. XP

Does anybody have any tips on how to stay consistent with seconds, delay, and frame? I can never hit them all on the same try..Like one reset I will get the right seconds, another I get the right delay, etc.

It says you're offline right now, but if no one helps you and you see that I'm online PM me and I'll meet you on AIM.

That's wierd. I'm assuming you're abusing for eggs since that's a pretty short amount of time for the second delay. Either way, are you sure you have the date/time correct? I know I've forgotten to change the date and my seconds appeared off by 2~. If that's not it, then i don't know what to say.

Well your seconds should be pretty consistent between one or two of them, so unless you are SRing early or late that shouldn't be a big problem. For delay, just try and find a pace that's comfortable. I like to find a song who's beat matches my tapping, just to keep my tapping in check. As for frame, you're just going to have to calibrate the frame a few times to see if it's stable. If not, let the game run for a little bit, then save again without picking up the egg. That should change it, and recalibrate again.

Omg Aviator your DS/PikaTimer hates you -.-... Any idea where you landed when aiming for 14:53:36? COCKTAL nailed the only explanation I can think of atm (wrong date).

urgent question regarding RNG abuse in Distortion World:
I zoned in, checked my coin flips, and verified my seed. I went to my party, and moved my synchronizer to the front and left the party screen. The guide says that EVERY time you load Distortion World map, it advances the RNG by 11. So does that mean that I have already advanced the RNG by 22 (11 by loading into the map, and 11 again my moving party members)? When I do my journal flips and exit my journal to talk to Giratina will that be another 11 (then 1 again for Giratina's monster frame)?

It's been awhile, I just wanted to make sure that when calculating journal flips for wondercards, I subtract two from my frame correct?

Okay, something really wierd is going on in my Diamond game. For some reason, no matter what I do, my delay won't change from even. It's normally odd, which is what I need, but it changed to even. I didn't think much of it, so I just inserted my Saphire version. Well, after roughly 10 resets, it still is staying at even. Is anyone else having this problem?
