Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I have a couple of questions:
1) If I already have roamers released will the RNG be advanced upon loading?
2) When opening the Journal will the RNG be advanced if the opening page has a Defeated thing on?

Cheers guys. (:
1) Yes, the RNG gets advanced by 1 for every released roamer (only when using Method 1,J, or K).
2) Yes.

Hmm, kay, is there any way to put the roamers away so they can be rereleased? :x
Yep, just track them down and defeat them, and they will no longer be on the map affecting the RNG. If you're playing Platinum, they can then be re-released from Verity Cavern / Fullmoon Island / Professor Oak's house after defeating the Elite 4 another time.

Is there any validity to the Emerald RNG rumor that it's easier to get shiny starters with a trainer ID that begins with 3? Or should i restart every 50 SRs on any ID number?

Edit: This ID I got 2 Uncatchable shiny zigzagoon in a row.. on my 4th and 5th SR.. should I keep it?

Yeah, uh, I need more help with this RNGing thing. I'm kinda stuck at this part:

  1. Encounter a wild Pokémon as quickly as possible.
  2. Catch the encountered Pokémon.
  3. Select "Breeding (DPPt)" and then click "Generate" with this initial seed.
  4. Hatch your Pokémon and narrow down its IVs enough to find out which frame you hit in the generated spreads. When looking at spreads in RNG Reporter, remember that "A" means the stat was inherited from the parent that was placed into Daycare first, "B" second.
Does this mean that I have to catch a Pokemon, and put it in the initial seed by stat thing in the seed generator, and get the seed? If so, can I fly to somewhere else since when I tried to do that, the pokemon that are in the adjacent routes of Solaceon town are just too low leveled.

Yes and yes you can fly somewhere else to catch the pokemon to check it

I'm breeding for a fully flawless Pokémon, and the spread I want is on frame 7. Once I get my egg PID set up properly, I should definitely be able to get a save where I am at no higher than frame 7 after collecting the egg (by simply saving, hatching, checking frame via IVs, and resetting and getting a new save if necessary), right?

I've only bred with RNG abuse once before, and my frame started at 9, so I just want to make sure it's possible and not too unlikely to get a save that starts at or below frame 7.

Save right in front of the high level pokemon you want to catch or if you have sweet scent save on a grass patch so when you reset the game you use it right when you enter and catch that pokemon. Then input the IVs/Level/Nature of the pokemon along with the date/time you pressed A at the continue screen then do your taps and coin flips.

This is exactly what I do and I've hatched over 15 shiny pokemon using this method.

Thanks both of you, I was making sure since I felt like I was doing something wrong.

You can do it, just make sure you get an odd numbered frame. I've gotten 5 and 7 all the time. Particularly on my last attempt when I was trying to get a even frame. :(

garr, pokerng wont make a spreads file. does it even make spreads files when choosing method 0(breeding)? thanks for the help
Yes, it should create spreadsegg.txt and spreadsegg.csv files in the same folder that PokeRNG is in. If you made a shortcut to PokeRNG on your Desktop or somewhere else for easy access, keep in mind that the files will be created in the folder where the actual PokeRNG file is, not where the shortcut is.

I asked like 4 times lol even helped someone with DPPt stuff..
ok from my experience that's just a rumor so don't go by it there has been no proof that having an ID starting with 3 increases your chances of getting a shiny starter

If I saw two shiny zigzagoons in a row while resetting early would you use that save because it might have a quicker shiny frame?

well that's personal opinion, I wouldn't care especially if those zigzagoons came on horrible shiny spreads, but if you want it for the shiny then why not
