this is the first team i have ever made so its not perfect, please offer what advice you can to help me improve it
1. FROSLASS
nature - timid
ability - snow cloak
item - focus sash
EVs - 252 SpA 252 Spe 4 def 2HP
-spikes
-destiny bond
-ice beam
-taunt
frosslass is my lead, basically i use him to start the game off with taunt to prevent early game spikes/stealths, i also will get down 1 or 2 spike layers with him in the beginning, the focus sash allows me to get an occasional free kill with destiny bond (although this doesn't always work). ice beam i have for the hell of it, makes a nice stab move, although he really doesn't do much attacking.
2. LANTURN
nature - calm
ability - volt absorb
item - leftovers
EVs - 42HP 76 DEF 140 SpA 252 SpD
-ice beam
-surf
-thunderwave
-thunderbolt
a standard lanturn, but has proven me useful quite a few times. the water/elec combo works at very well in many situations, it also covers a wide range of pokemon, as you can tell he is slightly more defense then offence with regards to EVs, if this is a good thing i dont know. ice beam is for the occasional grass type that comes in thinking to get a freebee on him. one last thing about him is volt-absorb ability is quite useful (and comical) because i still get kids who use elec moves on him, only to be feeding him
3. HOUNDOOM
nature - timid
ability - flashfire
item - life orb
EVs - 252 Spe 252 SpA 6HP
- nasty plot
- dark pulse
- fire blast
- HP (flying)
i choose this pokemon originally because i needed fire coverage, i was gonna go with the typical infernape but when i saw the damage this thing was capable of i had to choose it, i always start it off with a nasty plot to add to its all ready ridiculous SpA, dark pulse is a nice stab dark move that does excellent damage to most anything, i could of went with Fthrower of blast but seeing how much damage fireblast does against a blissey i had to choose it. HP flying is for is the switch in a fighter pokemon since that is his weakness
4. BRONZONG
nature - sassy
ability - levitate
item - occa berry
EVs - 252 HP 86 ATK 80 DEF 92 SpD
- stealth rock
- gryo ball
- earthquake
- explosion
bronzong makes a pretty good wall type pokemon, his only 2 weaknesses are ground and fire, grounds dont work on him due to levitate, and the occa berry weakens super effective fire moves so he is pretty strong wall, stealth rock is self explanatory, gyro ball makes a nice stab move and since he has a low speed gyro ball does even more dmg. earthquake is decent for most situations, i mainly have it as a second option if gyro isnt working, explosion is for when they throw a pokemon that i can seem to get rid of (milotic, blissy etc) it normally deals with them.
5. PORYGON Z
nature - modest
ability - adaptability
item - choice specs
EVs - 2 HP 4 DEF 252 Spe 252 SpA
- tri attack
- dark pulse
- ice beam
- HP (ground)
this is one of my best and favorites, his high SpA and Spe allow it to deal incredible damage while most of the time moving first. whats great about him is his moveset covers almost all pokemon, choice specs give him a nice boost in SpA but you have to switch him out if you wanna change moves. he is essentially a speedy special sweeper, he jumps in does a big chunk of dmg. then switches out.
6. CLOYSTER ( might switch for lucario or gallade, think i should?)
nature - relaxed
ability - shell armor
item wancan berry
EVs - 252 HP 6 SpA 252 SpD
-ice beam
-rapid spin
-surf
-toxic spikes
i mainly have him for some toxic spikes and clearing my side of spikes and rocks, nothing to special about him, his spread makes him an average SpD wall, even though he is weak against quite a few things, again im probably switching for gallade or lucario as i need a fighting type on my team.
