Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Kind of a simple question, but does anyone know how to calibrate frames/delay in HGSS? I can't exactly go catch a high-leveled Magikarp while trying to get my TID/SID. :{P

Can anyone help me? Sorry, but I'm still confused. I've been looking in the RNG research thread/google/etc. and I can't find anything. Should I just get my starter and try to find what delay I hit from its IVs? How would that even work with such a low-leveled Pokemon?

can anyone show me where the post that mentions how detuning the radio advances frames in HG/SS I can't seem to find it

it seems like a silly question but can you rng the pokewalker? also i get all the coin flips right but the ivs don't match up. what am i doing wrong?

I started to map out a bit of the radio for the Heart Gold and Soul Silver RNG so maybe some of you can try out if it is useful. Written only some of them down, too lazy as I memorized the times I'm using already.xD in some areas the radio can be quite useful for HG&SS and it's not completely random so I mapped out some stuff.
If I find the time, maybe I'll do it complete but for now here's something for testing purpose. Posting it here since basically no one follows the RNG Research Thread and I want to profit everyone from it. I use that at least^^

Some background information:
The frame advancement of the radio depends on the time of the clock. Sometimes if you are on a random channel(means a channel with random frame advancement) even without switching at all your frame might advance. So avoid Random stations. I mapped them out.

+X means the last channel you tapped before you left the radio screen. When you enter it again, the frame will advance by the same amount if you didn't switch the radio off.

The fat ones are the one I recommend to use. Normally don' use the random ones.

Hello! I am playing Pokemon Diamond and have used RNG Abuse to breed about half a dozen shiny Pokemon.

At the moment, I'm trying to get a shiny with an Adamant nature, but so far I haven't had any luck.

I have gone through the motions, but the natures that come up are never Adamant and when they are their frame numbers are often far above 12,000.

I've been trying to come up with an Adamant result for about three days now, and once even attempted to breed one that required over 3000 taps. It took over two hours to finish, but the breeding product failed.

So, my question is, what exactly determines what natures show up? And is there anyway I can promote certain natures? Is it based on my Trainer ID, SID, what Pokemon I catch, what time of day it is or is it completely random?

As far as I know its completely random.
Getting a internation ditto (a ditto that a different region then your game) Will help promote more shiny pokemon.

I have also been experimenting with letting the delay get large.
I usually find a shiny pokemon with taps below 100 but I use a ditto that is japanese

ok I'm a little confused about what RNGreporter is telling me,
Iam trying to abuse the sudowoodo in HG using this spread: seed: A40D1A59
IVs: 31/31/31/17/30/31 whose delay is 6735
so I start to do frame calibrations, checking my pokemon's IVs and use PokeRNg to get my results and see on which seed I landed on and I got a80b0d57 which is similar to the one I am aiming for but then I look at the delay and its 3405 which is over 3000 away from my target delay. My questions is if the difference is supposed to be this large in Hg/SS or I made a mistake somewhere, or is it something else wrong with PokeRNG or BNG reporter?

It sounds as if you're trying to breed via the old (read: bad) method of RNG, before the DPPt Shiny Egg tab was added to the RNG Reporter. Does your version of RNG Reporter have this tab (under Time Finder)? If not, get the newest one, cause that insures that the number of taps is always under 100.

I've been using DeSmuMe to watch the RNG's RAM address, and it turns out the seed is set right when you press A at the Ho-oh screen (well, actually a few moments after, but still). So the minimum delay is probably around 450 or so, not 4000.

EDIT: Okay, I saw it got the seed I wanted (E7031E3D), hoping to get ID 40000. But the end result was completely different (ID 8763, still looking for the SID). RNGing for ID\SID in HGSS may be more difficult than I thought.

EDIT #2: So it turns out I would have realized what was going on if I actually read TCCPhreak's research. The seed I'm getting is completely different because it seeds AGAIN after I go through the whole sequence with Oak.

Well, I said that a few pages back, when Misdreavus asked about it, and both I and Rename Card can confirm when the seed is generated: after the dismissal of the last message of the dialog with Oak.

In my ID/SID abusing, I had to change the seed two times, because of your problem, but Rename Card was able to do it without changing his target seed. It's all about luck. Keep trying.

I tried to use that RAM viewer in DEsmume that Negator explained a while ago, but I can't find the option to change it to 32bit. Where is it?

The drop-down box that lists bytes, halfwords, and words. Words are 32-bit.

The location for the RNG in the US HG (not sure about SS) is 021D15A8. In the Japanese HG, 021D0AE8.

Thank you very much! I'll update my txt file.

Couple questions here:

If I randomly got a shiny Totodile at the beginning, can I RNG shinies in this game or do we not know how to do that yet?

Is every legendary, Snorlax, and Lapras a method K pokemon?

How does the RNG work for Raikou and Entei?

Sure you can RNG Shinies then.
Even if you didn't get a shiny you could.xD
But if you got a nice spread check the spread in PokeRNG, findout Delay, Time and Frame and then try to reset for it.
Pretty easy so far.
The basic delay for HG/SS is about 500.
490 is about the best if you are good I guess.
Everything below that is... well I never hit anything lower than 490 at least.
and nothing higher than 3481 as far as I recall.

Snorlax and Lapras are Method K Pokemon although Snorlax is pretty hard to RNG, as the RNG jumps a lot there, you gotta be very patient and also pause the RNG with x, advance the frame with the radio and then talk to it as fast as possible. Given the fact that Snorlax needs the Pokeflute to be talked to, I thought it being pretty hard...
But still possible.
But I really didn't like doing it.
Raikou and Entei are Method 1 Pokemon.

I am actually having the same problem as Parrot, I know I got the right number of taps and flips, but every time I get the egg, it is the wrong nature. Can someone tell me why?

I've been looking at the previous posts, but want to make sure.
When Suicune, Raikou, and Entei are killed and released for the second time, the ivs are not the same as the first time, right?

they are re-released with different IVs and different natures unless by some very small chance you get the same IVs and nature
