Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

Word of advice to everyone, its easier to move the cursor to the detune area with the dpad. You're less likely to screw up that way. I successfully RNG'ed for Raikou today (not THAT hard on a real cartridge. Just harder than DPPt.) and using the dpad was faster and easier.
 
Can I ask some question about this guide? Shiny Egg Finder

I've landed successfully on my target time (verify through coin flip). However, according to the guide, it said that I need to have six pokemon in the party. At that time, I have only five, so I began to re-calculate the additional happiness taps/flips I need to do. After performed all those, I still have 1 frame left, which is advanced by generating an egg. However, after the egg was hatched, it was just a normal Scyther. (I swear that I re-calculate the taps/flips 3 times before I proceed to get the egg.)

Questions:

1) Since that guide said you need six pokemon in the party, does it mean that using any number of pokemon differ than what the guide suggest will cause the number of frame required to be off?

2) Which AR codes conflict with RNG abusing? I used instant egg generate, fast hatch, and IV check via TM.
 
What's a reliable way to advance frame for Lugia? Standing outside and tweaking the radio as necessary, then going in and capturing it?
 
Do I need to de-tune the radio in between each station click in order to advance the frame? For example, I have the game saved with the cursor in the middle of the circle, and upon loading the game, I click the button to put the radio on That Town, These People. Do I need to manually move the cursor back into the middle of the circle before I click the button for Pokémon Search Party, or can I immediately click its button?
 
I found a Timid Seed I want to use for Lugia. However, this spread was obviously found on the DPPt RNG Reporter.
So, my question is:
will this seed, frame, etc, work for SoulSilver?
Did somebody say they can advance the frame by using the Radio?

did you search for it on method K? if not then search for it using method K if you dd then yes it will work
 
How many moving NPCs are in Vermillion and Pewter City. I need this information so I can RNG Latias in my Heartgold and Latios when the Enigma Stone Event comes to the U.S

First of all you don't start in the middle you start in the station, you have to manually bring it back to the center using the stylus or D-Pad.

Again, I've always started in the middle, detuned, and it always worked for me. So please, don't talk as if that was the problem.

Also, I don't really have to use the Radio App do I? How many frames does it advance? 1?
Walking around does the same, right? Going left, turning right, going right, rinse and repeat?

Anybody crack the breeding RNG yet?
 
Yeah, but that is not the only way. And for me, since we know the station advances the frame if it keeps playing, depending on the show running, I prefer to be safe, and start detuned.
 
I loaded the game with the radio cursor in the very middle of the circle, then did the following:

-clicked the button for That Town, These People
-clicked the button for Pokémon Search Party
-clicked the button for That Town, These People
-used the D-pad to move the cursor into the very middle of the circle
-clicked the button for That Town, These People (and left the radio on that station)

I advanced the RNG by 10 frames, correct?
 
Mis, can you point/give me the link to a guide that explain about ID/SID combo and the required program? If you could do that with RNG Reporter, is there any tutorial around here besides replies in this topic?

Hey everyone! I actually just started RNGing today (and have gotten 3 Shinies from eggs!), however I've been studying it deeply for a while. All of this was for Platinum.

BUT, I have HeartGold as well. I'm wondering, is it possible to RNG for HG/SS? If so, could someone link me to a tutorial? It would be great if you could PM me with the link! Thanks!!

There isn't a tutorial yet. It is possible to RNG on HG/SS though.
 
Hey guys... seeing as how we don't have all the HG/SS RNG kinks worked out.... where could I go and what could I do to help out with the frame advancement? (I'd REALLY like to work on the radio stuff....)
