those without frames listed someone else can probably help you with

Is Raikou's frame always 1 and Entei always 6?
Or is the first one you'll see always have a frame of 1 and the second one always 6?

Raikou's frame is always 1 and Enteis' is always 6
They IV's/Nature are set once you release them from the tower not once you encounter them in the wild.

How about Eusine and Morty?
Are they wandering NPCs?

Another question...
If you change time but not change date, does it affect growth of berries?
And how?
Does the same happed if you change date?

Don't double post...

They don't affect the Frame. No clue about the berries though.

Ok, so at burned tower or as long as Raikou isn't caught, Entei is frame 6. But say if you capture Raikou and remove him from the overworld, but you don't catch Entei. Will Entei's frame now be 1 or will it always be 6 (if you faint Entei and respawn him that is)? In other words, are the frames for the dogs in HG/SS like the frames for the birds in platinum?

There IVs are set when they are freed, so it will always 1 and 6 in the Tower. However Entei's frame can be 1 if you catch Raikou and release Entei gain through the Elite 4.

I'm hearing about how people are advancing their frames in HG/SS by use of the radio. I'm wondering how.
OmegaDonut has a guide a couple pages back I think. Basically turning to a station advances a certain number of frames. For example Pokemon Search Party always advances the frame by 1.

Re: Raikou and Entei

I missed my opportunity to RNG Raikou and Entei when releasing them, and I know one can RNG them by fainting them and then RNG before the Elite 4. But my question is, is it possible to faint them again after the Elite 4 and have them be released again?

I'd rather try and RNG them later once the RNG process for HGSS is a little more nailed down.

Though thanks to this thread and all the input from everyone I was able to RNG my quint-perfect Ho-oh!

I'm acually doing some research on the dogs post E4. The problem with RNGing them later though is that they are not reset at the burnt building. I think that the current belief is that their IV's and nature are set right when you beat Lance. It is not really known if the frame advances for the battle with Lance can be controlled.

Yeah it was my understanding the IV's are reset after beating the E4. I thought I read in this thread someone successfully RNG'd them by frame advancing before battling E4, maybe I'm wrong.

My question lies more in the realm after you reset the dog's after beating the E4, can you reset them again?

Edit: I suppose I could help with the research if there's anything you need, I'm on my way to the E4 now, but I am an RNG nub... :)

hi i would like to know how do you get the target time? and what do the time in the rng reporter time finder indicate, is that the target time? please need your help.

and how do you know what frame to put?

Yea, you should theoretically be able to reset for your seed and advance the frame right before battling Lance. You still need to know how many frames the battle itself will take tho.

And I'm pretty sure you can keep on fainting and resetting the dogs if you want.

According to Newts_Ute, the RNG doesn't advance during the battles. So you only have to worry about the steps taken and the rotating NPC in the Pokemon Center before the E4.

I'm trying to get this to work myself. Really hoping that bolded statement is true though.

Haha yes you can, If you fail and the dog isnt what you wanted, just kill it off then redo the E4 again

A question of my own, a few days ago Wild Eep posted a list of PIDs and their partner PID for reference with using ID Finder. I had the page bookmarked but now its gone, Anyone know where it is now?

EDIT: Nevermind found it here

Right, im still trying to RNG 'Kou. Im following an earlier post in this thread, but I just cannot seem to get it right... and when I try to check what im hitting, I keep getting the 'Invalid date/time' error... I know im putting it all in right. Another thing ive noticed is that my delay and seconds seemed to have wildly varied in the space of a few hours - earlier this evening I got a second of 19 consistently after about 10 tests, but now its closer to 15. Is this whats causing me to mess up? When I use pikatimer im often waiting at the continue screen for a good 3 or 4 seconds.

Just reposting this as it got skipped. Its making it difficult to find what frame Im on when I catch raikou so I know what to change on the next attempt, but obviously if it keeps throwing the error up then im left in the dark.

Hey guys, before I put any effort into this, I got a quick question for ya. I just recently started learning about the RNG for the first time, and since someone here gave me my SID, I've been experimenting with it by hatching shiny pokemon. I made like 20 in one day! But why does hatching pokemon with perfect IVs seem so much more complicated than hatching shinies?

For a shiny, you write down the time, catch a pokemon, enter its stats to the RNG reporter, do some tapping, badda bing badda boom there's your shiny. You might even get lucky and get the nature/gender/ability you want. But for perfect IV pokemon, to get even one IV, you gotta worry about all this seed business, the whole process seems timed somehow... I guess the question I'm trying to ask is, is learning this method really helpful/"worth it", compared to just doing it the old fashioned way?

Thanks. o_o

Hmmm at which point is your ID generated in HG/SS? I'm just trying to calibrate the time but I'm missing my target by 30 seconds and I'm not sure if I'm early or late =/

I assumed it would be when your mum gives you your trainer card but obviously not. Could it be when you get the animation of your character shinking down the the game sprite?

From what Ive read its from when you press 'a' to shrink your character animation, or around that time, im pretty sure its in the sequence when you name your character etc.

I found it's somewhere between when you start to shrink to game world. Use your timer to Press A on the last line of text Prof. Oak tells you before entering the actual game.
