Hey, could someone help me out? I'm looking for good EV training spots in HGSS. I need to train basically 252 HP/252 Def, so is there somewhere with pokes that give 2 HP/Def EVs? Thanks.

Here it says that suicune will reappear if you make it faint the first time you fight it after you defeat the elite four. However to fight suicune you have to get to kanto, which as far as I know involves beating the elite four. So since you cannot fight suicune before beating the elite four, how can you re-face it after you beat the elite four?

I assume this means he will respawn after you beat the Elite Four a second time - it will be harder, as they will upgrade their teams.

Hi there,

I love breeding. At least I used to. I bred constantly to try to get 3-4 31s in my Pokemon and was proud of it.

However, after a quick look at the boards (trading threads, etc), seeing an almost infinite amount of perfect or near-perfect, even shiny, Pokemon. Before I was really motivated, but after all that, I am rather demotivated.

So my question is: How long has this been going on? Is this a new thing (eg: D/P or before?). Is it ever going to stop? I'm guessing they will be imported to whatever the newest version we are playing is.

If that is true, there is no real reason to breed anymore, aside from personal satisfaction, and I should just hop aboard the train everyone else is, even if I don't necessarily agree with it, correct?

Also, what kind of Pokemon can I expect to battle against with other users? Should I expect all of their Pokemon to be perfect?

Thanks

People don't like my question, eh? =)

Soul Dew aside, can someone please explain what makes Latios an Uber while Latias is OU? Their stat total is the same, as well as HP and Speed; their offensive and defensive stats are just flipped. They have the same typing and almost the exact same movepool.

Are Latios's more offensive stats just more valuable in this metagame than Latias's defensive stats?

Someone answered a few pages back - I don't remember exactly what it said, but apparently it is a shop that doesn't really sell anything useful. The original answer would probably be more helpful - if you find your previous post and check out the next page or so, you should find it. Easy to lose things on this thread!

It's open during daytime hours. It's just a crappy shop though, nothing special.

Ah okay thanks guys! Yeah I guess I missed his reply. I just confirmed this on my game.

The shop sells the following:
Poke Doll
Fresh Water
Soda Pop
Lemonade
Repel
Heart Mail

Those Pokémon are acheived through RNG abuse; someone linked to Smogon's guide on it only a few posts back.

You can't expect every Pokémon you battle against to be perfect, but it's a good idea to play as if they are.

I understand where they are from, but my question still stands.

Latias lacks the 130 base SpA that Latios had. That allowed him to use a specs set that was so powerful that it somehow got him banned through the suspect test process. I do not believe it was for the best, but what can you do? Latias tends to outclass Latios in every other way, so there really is no question about what got him banned here.

I like to use Action Replay to make breeding less stressful, and was looking for a "view IV code". I've seen it used in a video before, and cannot get the one I found on Google to work properly. :/

Any ideas?

With Specs it pretty much 2hkos everything in the metagame bar Blissey which is something that Latias can't quite do. This in itself is impressive but it provides huge support for any other dragon or an array of sweepers. In short it is hugely powerful.

This is from the portait of an uber thread.
Offensive Characteristic
A Pokémon is uber if, in common battle conditions, it is capable of sweeping through a significant portion of teams in the metagame with little effort.
