I've tested this and the holder of Choice Band and the like is free to choose any move on the next round, even if the opponent also has Transform. My description reads, in part:
If a Pokémon at holder's position uses a move other than ... Transform and holder held this item ... the holder can't choose any other move for use for as long as holder ... has that move ....

Why isn't the Survival Area Move Tutor in Platinum offering Outrage to my Munchlax?

I've got enough shards, but all he offers is Mud-Slap, Rollout, Superpower, Gunk Shot and Seed Bomb.

I'm tearing my hair out here!! :(

Just to make sure you didn't read the wrong info, Outrage requires 6 red shards and 2 yellow shards. I can tell you have at least 8 red shards because that is how much Superpower requires, but you might as well double check your number of yellow shards since no move that is currently being offered requires any yellow shards.

I have:
Red Shard x8
Yellow Shard x5
Green Shard x6
Blue Shard x4

Checked and checked, looking at 5 Yellow Shards right now.

Am I missing something else? Is there a second page of moves?? :(

There is no PC item storage that I'm aware of in Platinum.

I tossed the extra shards (including all my greens and blues), but still no luck.

Also, the same moves I mentioned above are listed whether I have the shards for them or not.

Odd question here: I've been playing in the Battle Frontier with my new Surfing Pikachu, and she's quite the powerhouse. But as a Pikachu she's hardly bulky, and there's some things she just can't take out. What would be some good Pokemon (preferably not OU) to complement her? I had a quick look at NU analyses for ideas and Miltank stood out to me, but I don't know how good an idea that is.

I forgot to give vitamins before EV training and got 4 EV points on a Pokemon. If I use 10 vitamins on that Pokemon will the EV's go to 100 or 104?

@KuyaJBoy -- nope. 100

@Nicksor @Derek -- use of an external device for anything that modifes the game (as in, for anything other than read-only stuff like getting SIDs /IVs) is generally frowned upon, I think. Regional tourneys can't really DETECT a well-done hack (but do read your ARDS/Pokesav guides as to which hacks can be detected). As for community stuff, that's up to the discretion of the person you're trading/battling with--fully disclose how you used the external device and let the other person make the determination of whether it's "hax."

Personally,
@Nicksor -- I'd consider that cheating. Why not just clone some master balls in DP or Emerald?
@Derek -- I'd have to read the ARDS guide. If pokes caught while using the device are unmodified / indetectably modified, I'd trade/battle with you.

Move tutors will offer the move even if you can't afford it. So either you're at the wrong place or the guides are wrong.

The guides are wrong. Munchlax evidently can not learn Outrage. Evidently all sites have copied from the same, incorrect source.

I have tried it on a friend's cart now, I'm in the right place, with the Tutor that teaches Mud-Slap, Rollout, Superpower, Gunk Shot and Seed Bomb that you need to Rock Climb to get to.

Can anyone try it to prove me right or, hopefully, wrong?

For what it's worth, the official Platinum guide says that Munchlax can not learn it. It needs to evolve for it.

Any answers to my question earlier?

With the introduction of the "flat battle" in hg/ss. Is there any reason to use anything than the intended lvl 100 ev spreads?

If in doubles I use Follow Me and the opponent uses an attack that hits my 2 pokemon (for example, Rock Slide), will the pokemon that didn't use Follow Me recieve damage?
