Hm, useful information. Now we need to figure out if it works the same calling any trainer who wants a battle, I guess.
the front page has just about everything, read it, http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=2559264&postcount=2Is this able to be done on Heart Gold/Soul Silver?
Its MOD100 which is the remainder after dividing, being 100 its rather simple, your answer is 616(r98) and 98 is water sweet scent slot 3.... Dratini :PCan someone help me out in regards to encounter slots for HG/SS (Method K)?
I've tried to calculate them according to the method that WildEep said was appropriate for method K (5th post):
http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?p=2592107#post2592107
I've had no luck with it so far. For example on the seed e810031a (Jolly-31/31/31/x/31/31 delay 755, year 2039, around 18 seconds), I hit my delay and made my way to frame 211 via sweet scenting with a jolly sync'er in my party hopes of getting a magikarp in the Dragon's den while surfing. I now have a perfect jolly dratini. (So if you ever wanted a jolly flawless dragonite, at least you now know how to get one.)
Calculations show that:
Previous 2 frames (Method 1) PID's last 4 hex digits = F102 = 61698
Divide by 100 = 616.98...................O.o
So i thought he made a mistake and meant 1000 but obviously that still doesn't work since mod 1000 yields 61.689 which still isn't between 90-99 (encounter slots 2,3,and 4 are dratini in the dragon's den.)
Same situation for seed d2140289 on route 47. In hopes that the 40% encounter rate for dittos would just work in my favor, I tried to get a flawless ditto. After sweet scenting to frame 71, I now have a flawless.....timid.......miltank. (so fail)
So my original plea for help still stands. How do you calculate the encounter slots for method K in pokemon (HG/SS)? I've tried the previous one/two frames(whichever that applies) on method K and method 1 for various seeds with no luck. So I apologize for the long post but I really don't wanna breed for pokes.
*Random thoughts* -Maybe the next version of the RNG reporter can have a "calculate method K encounter slot function" when research on it finishes (if it hasn't).
-Btw, the mentioned in the thread quoted above, does anyone know what seed that is? Tried RNG reporter with no luck as well as pokerng. (The ability comes out to illuminate.)
You simply use the TID and SID of the game its hatching onBTW I have a question...
Just for the sake of hatching shinies in "Cool Locations"...
I think I know that transferring a shiny egg into the other cart will take away its shiny status if hatched into that cartridge which it's being transferred to.
(Such as the case 3 years ago when I tried transferring that shiny Beldum egg from my Emerald cart into my FireRed cart, and hatched it in FireRed, and it's not shiny anymore)
So how will I make an egg being bred here in HG (TID 50376 & SID 07493)shiny in my Pearl cart (TID 26049 & SID 00909) ?
There are locations available only in DPPt...
Has anybody tried this?

that link will answer your question
Did you check off the HGSS checkbox? You can find shiny eggs on frame 1 that way.
I'm using the tutorial on
http://www.smogon.com/ingame/rng/dpp_rng_part1
at the moment, im looking at the "DPPT Egg PID" section, but there isn't an HG/SS box. if i move to "Breeding (HGSS)", then I find that there are no results when i click generate.
If you've already caught 2 roamers, I would try using the responses from the partner Pokemon that OD posted about on the first page. Ideally, you want a way to verify your seed and starting frame when you're already in Lance's room. That way no wandering NPCs get in the way and throw a wrench into the whole process.BTW, what if I already captured 2 roamers?
In my case, I already claimed Raikou and Latias weeks ago.
So what's the best way to RNG Entei?
All I could think off is to save one step before going inside Elite 4 Will's room, and you can open up the PokeGear as soon as you load the game, and verify the seed via Elm Method (since it doesn't work once you're inside the Elite 4's rooms).
But does the Elite 4 battles unnecessarily advance the frames?
And is it OK to save in-between the battles?
And will I never have to turn off the DS since the time I soft-reset for RNGs until you beat Lance?
I did this for mineIf you've already caught 2 roamers, I would try using the responses from the partner Pokemon that OD posted about on the first page. Ideally, you want a way to verify your seed and starting frame when you're already in Lance's room. That way no wandering NPCs get in the way and throw a wrench into the whole process.
If that doesn't work, then I'd do this:
1) Knock out all roamers on the map.
2) Save directly in front of the elite four building just after rolling over the 128-step counter. You can figure out when this counter rolls over by pacing back and forth a little bit, then calling Elm. If you have a party of 6 Pokemon, and Elm's responses suddenly jump 6 frames ahead from what you were expecting, then you know the counter has rolled over.
3) Restart the game, aiming for a specific seed. Confirm the seed by calling Elm exactly 10 times. Don't advance the frame any further than this.
4) Run forward through the first room of the E4 building as fast as possible to minimize the movement from that one NPC in the corner. He is the only wildcard in this process and is a total pain to deal with.
5) In each of the following rooms, take the shortest path to the trainer and keep proceeding. You probably won't have to worry about rolling over the 128-step counter again if you made sure to do so outside though.
6) Beat Lance; start the game again. Capture the first roamer that was respawned. (Remember that the order is Entei -> Raikou -> Lati@s.) Determine what frame it was generated on.
7) Let's say that the roamer you just caught had the stats for frame 21. This means that between entering the elite four building and defeating Lance, the RNG advanced 10 times (this is in addition to the 10 advancements made by calling Elm). Repeat the process, this time advancing the frame the appropriate number of times just before you enter the building. So if your desired spread is on frame 100, you would advance to frame 90, then run through the building as fast as possible once more. That NPC in the corner can--and likely will--mess things up, and you may have to make adjustments and retry several times before you get it exactly right.
Shows how much the guide needs updating.
Time Finder -> Shiny Egg Finder
Does the held items other than the everstone/power items disturb the Breeding RNG?
I mean there are Pokemon which will appear accordingly depending on the held items of the parent(s).
Such as, to get Munchlax, a parent Snorlax must hold that Full Incense to get a Munchlax.
In other words, does Full Incense disturb the breeding RNG like the everstone?
Random idea: The next version of RNG Reporter should have accurate display of encounter slots (which I originally thought the eggmove.com/blahblah website is the one with mistakes, but OmegaDonut said that the RNG Reporter is the one with mistakes on the encounter slot values) and possibly boolean operators for the IVs (such as IV is less than X but more than Y, etc...), or an option for each and every one Hidden Power checkboxes.
ok, so i need to calibrate which frame i most often land on?
how long does this usually take to produce a shiny egg?
I have no idea what you are talking about with regards to IVs.
In DPPt, there were many wandering NPCs that made it a requirement to "calibrate" for the starting frame of an egg received from the Daycare Man. In HGSS, there is only one NPC on that route to worry about, and as a result the starting frame is usually 3 and there is no need to calibrate. To hit higher frames you have to open the Pokegear very quickly (before the NPC moves) and advance the RNG via the radio.
The biggest mistake there is using a naive synchronizer assuming that it will change the nature, it won't. For a method J pokemon like azelf the nature listed on the spread and frame is the nature it will have, in your case that nature is lonely for that frame, using a synchronizer won't change it to naive. Also try keeping the year set to a specific year changing it around randomly isn't helping, and by the looks of it your just button mashing to get to the start of the game which is a very inconsistent method to hit your delay. Try learning to use a timer, information is listed in the front page in the following posts.http://www.smogon.com/forums/showpost.php?p=1907765&postcount=7Hello guys.
I've been trying to RNG Azelf for over 10 hours straight now, but I never hit my seed. Could somebody please analyze what I am doing wrong?
What I do.
Searching a spread. Usually synchronize nature on Naive, as my Ralts nature is Naive. Searching a spread with maximum frames of 200, min/max delays of 590/612 (I still am confused with this value) I came to 26040266, frame 112, shiny and it sais Lonely but I asume when I use Ralts first the nature is naive.
I generate a time, using 2010 my delay is 604 at 2010/3/3 and 04:15:14. My time from SR to gameworld seems nearly always to be 14, so theoraticly I have to reset at 04:15:00. I always synch my game at 04:14 and quickly hop in the game, save it (so the journal doens't pops up) and at 04:15 I reset. But unfortunatly I never hit my delay, so that's pretty weird...
If anyone could help me I would be so grateful
Greetings
And here are some of my calibrations at 3/3 (year/seconds/delay), which I still don't fully understand.
2015 14 599 2034 14 612 2028 14 612 2020 14 604 2015 14 598 2016 14 610 2010 14 607 Oh, and if some people say "ah search0r t3h gu1des" I can tell you I read and watched them a dozen times.
Under the Shiny Egg tab under Time Finder, the Frame(s) is the order of the egg being generated since you put the parents into Daycare.
And don't confuse it with the frames for the IVs, since IVs and egg PIDs are generated separately.
So Frame 1 is the first egg, Frame 2 is second, and so on...
If you're that impatient (like me sometimes), then I suggest you should choose frame 1 or maybe 2.
In case you didn't know, if you like a specific shiny egg PID, you should have both parents ready but not yet in Daycare, and save while standing and facing in front of the Daycare Lady.
You can check your seed via Elm method. Don't worry, the Elm calls don't affect the IRNG or the shiny egg PID.
