SR is on the field, Venusaur is scarfed and Moltres is switching in... that's way too situational lol; especially because so much could just switch in and take no damage at all.

Situational, but possible.

But yeah, Moltres a a rather safe switch in.
As does Articuno like i mentioned, and Drifblim (and Drifblim is the only one that can set up something, so this just adds some points to the balloon)

A poke locked into a resistant move (Choice Item), an offensive weak wall, ...

EDIT: a lot of Venusaur carry EQ these days so that Agility you are trying to set up on him might be a bit dangerous. And QA is a good option on Swellow indeed as it can outspeed Sucker Punch users which is just great, if you could get Swellow in on something like EQ or something else resisted, you have no need for Protect.

I was kind of talking about the idea of Raikou running over offense. They only offenses i've played are Suicide Offense, with no choice items or any type of wall, or more standard offense, i.e. spike stacking w/ Moltres and/or Swellow. (btw classifying teams into suicide offense, bulky offense, whatever, is pretty stupid, i'm just doing it for the sake of discussion) The second case gives more set up opportunities for Raikou, (and Frossy) but even then it's pretty rare. So I'm curious as to what kind of things Raikou sets up on (non-choiced obviously) on an offensive kind of team.

The thing is, what is to stop the Venasaur user to simply Sleep Powder again after the berry activates?

What is a good HP Ice 70 spread for Raikou? Ive been using HP Grass but I've decided to use HP Ice so I can drop extrasensory.

As of now, I'm enjoying that cleric/sweeper Altaria PK Gaming was using. It's so ridiculously easy to get to +6. Blastoise's Ice Beam doesn't OHKO and you can set up on it from there. It sets up on so many things it's not even funny anymore....

Rhyperior is also amazing as a sweeper. The Sub set seems like it could work, but I'm finding the RP set to be the most reliable one right now. Surviving HP ice from Raikou and RPing then going for a sweep just says so many things about it. :)

Has anyone else find SubPerior to be a beast?
(I would like the know the amount of speed to run on him?)

yeah defintely...rhyperior causes alot of switches and being behind a sub makes his prediction ALOT easier...playing this UU metagame, substitute is one of the most deadliest self-supporting moves...

So true.
If they let you reach 3+ they lose.

I've actually used Torterra... Definetely doesn't deserve the hype.

LOL joking. Seriously SO many teams are unprepared to face him. I've been using Sub+3 attacks. This thing is awesome.

What's the cleric sweeper?

DD/Outrage/Roost/Heal Bell?

If yes: it's really dangerous, but there's some pokes to stop it (Aggron is probably the best one).

If no: what's the set?

It's Dragon Claw over Outrage. You can't have your Altaria trapped as it doubles as your special wall. (It will never beat LO Raikou though...)

Aggron can stop you (and Registeel) but you can always pack a Dugtrio for Aggron and Registeel (watch out for RP)

Oh, same set i use for OU (but for Dragonite obviously).

On the same "line of thought", i used CM Cleric Uxie. Also dangerous, i tell you.

Pretty much any bulky phazer can stop it at least for you to set up your sweeper anyway. I lol at the people who just keep Ice Beaming it with Blastoise when they can just Roar it out.

I'm taking advantage of the Pokemon it brings in (Registeel and Aggron) with a Rhyperior of my own. I'm considering subperior with the fact that once it gets a sub it's guaranteed something is going to die (provided SE or Megahorn don't miss...). Seriously, though, I watched Altaria set up on a Blastoise ice beaming it do death and come out on top eventually sweeping the poor guy's team. I was laughing inside. XD

CM Cleric Uxie? If you mean a Rest-Talk CM one, then I've only seen one (probably you).

No. It was CM/Heal Bell/Psychic/Signal Beam. So it wasn't me.
If you ever see a RP Magnet Rise Aggron (which kills your combo i suppose), then that's me lol

Since Torterra is starting to get popular I obviously can't use it. So I use Sceptile for my Grass needs now. Who is equally bad ass. SubSeed ftw!

And CB Mesprit is the shit. That is all.

Ive been running SubCharge Manetric for a bit (Sub/ChargeBeam/Ft/HPGrass) and its been working pretty well alongside Raikou since it can beat a lot of the common Raikou switch ins (who like switching in to Manetic for whatever reason) like Torterra, Venusaur, and Registeel. They both still lose to Chansey and Dugtrio, but still.

So before you dismiss Raikou based on fairly blind assumptions (same with Froslass-UU people and their apparent "OMG IT GETS HIT BY SUPER EFFECTIVE MOVES SO IT OBVIOUSLY GETS OHKOED syndrome") please look at what is actually happening.

I once thought Frosslass was UU. THEN I realised the potential it had outside of the lead position. :/

No, I don't have "OMG Super effective hits!" syndrome. Raikou has 2 MASSIVE, glaring problems.

1: It cannot raise it's speed. It IS fast from the get-go, but anything that outspeeds can deal some good damage. Well, it CAN raise it's speed, but running a Scarf on Raikou is a bad idea, as it allows Duggy to walk all over it.

2: It has no priority moves. Unless it Mimics something, but... no, I shouldn't have to point out the problem here.

It also has coverage problems, but it can run weaker moves and HP to hit a lot of stuff, so that isn't as bad.

Is it good? Yes. Is it broken? ...not in my opinion.

Raikou has quick attack but thats pretty much usless

All of that applies to so many different pokés (Hi Cresselia!!), and it didn't stop them from getting banned, so as long as you go with "OMG it gotta get +1 SpAtk/+1 SpDef/+1 Speed and priority moves with wtf 80 base power to be broken", either explain your point better or leave it.

Leafeon works if you want to use it as a more powerful and quicker Venusaur. My opinion is that you really cannot compare Leafeon and Venusaur in any way because they are pretty different Pokemon. The only thing similar about them imo is Swords Dance and Grass-typing. As far as basically anything else goes, they are so different; Venusaur is overall bulkier and has Sleep Power, while Leafeon is faster and has a better attack and defense. Ultimately the one you "prefer" depends on what role you need your Grass-type to play. Leafeon can also Baton Pass Swords Dances and even Curses which does give it a neat little advantage over Venusaur. Another thing Leafeon has over Venusaur is the fact that it really cannot be revenged by Dugtrio when it's at low health, while Venusaur can.
