But I lack hands.....(Didn't keep up deviation).

Sharpedo? I am guessing AJ,Crunch,Taunt,EQ? It seems like an interesting anti-lead but after it kills the lead, it will get forced out and it can't switch in well.

Dude... it just got aura sphere and weather ball to add to its arsenal and it was wayyy broken before. Now that it can hit its two "counters" super effectively (Registeel and Chansey) I highly doubt it will remain UU

If you are voting Raikou BL based on Aura Sphere and Weather Ball, you probably shouldn't be allowed to vote. It doesn't even have those moves yet. You have no idea what affect they will have on the game.

Well, no I am not. It's just those extra moves will put it over the top.
And it isn't your decision if I vote, really. It all depends if I made requirements or not

It isn't specifically his decision, but you will not vote if those reasons are factored into your vote because Jabba/Reach will not grant you rights.

The whole point of that set is to beat the lead, but if it fails to do that or if you encounter another antilead, you just have a useless Pokemon on your hands.

So I hear stall kinda dominated this round?

What are people running? Milotic, Registeel, Chansey, Venusaur?

Just wondering because I usually play more offensive teams, and didn't run into a whooole lot of stall this round.

Rotom, Clefable, Uxie should be be mentioned as well.

I remembered the first rounds of the tour where Rain Dance teams were oh so common.
Stall is harder to pull of so you don't hear me complain.

Chansey/Umbreon; Milotic/Blastoise; Venusaur/Tangrowth/Torterra; Arcanine; Omastar; Rotom; Froslass; Spiritomb and Mismagius; Hitmontop. It's mostly something along these lines, with rarer things like Cloyster and Perior presenting themselves eventually.

What usually happens when you come in on Chansey or something is that you get a wildcard like Altaria that you know you can't beat and you get forced out anyway. Spikes and SR are probably on the field, so you're going to take way too much damage if you try to switch in on a resisted attack. Best choice of action from here is to try and come in on the revenge and they repeat the process. A stall team can usually dick around like this with an offensive team, wearing you down with residual damage by abusing the fact that no one sweeper can cover everything.

That's why non-offensive moves like Encore and Taunt work wonders for breaking stall by allowing you to screw over and set up on even the sturdiest of walls. A team with a simple lead, a few sweepers, and a couple of walls won't do shit to stall; you really have to broaden your horizons if you want to cover as many playstyles as possible. Magmortar and Blaziken are useful weapons against stall, but you're going to need more than that to get the job done. Encore Poliwrath and Taunt SD Drapion are huge bastards for stall teams to face as well.

one of the best underrated stall breaker is Kangaskhan...sub punching is OK...but Choice banded is soo better. because of the power and spamming of just return and opening holes in your opponents team..

Honestly, I don't even try to counter stall when I build my teams. Usually what happens is I'll run into a stall team, find something on stall shuts down a lot of my sweepers, and then replace/modify that sweeper to get past or overload the wall. My current team does this with Registeel/Milotic; Jynx puts one of them to sleep, Missy and Kabutops punch holes in the other one, and then DDtaria sweeps (as an example). That's probably the best way of beating stall...having a diverse set of sweepers that can overload your opponent's walls (particularly ones that don't have recovery, like Registeel or Donphan, and ones that are SR weak, like Altaria and Arcanine).

Running something Subpunch/NP encore chu works wonders here.
A boah Raichu [subpunch/Voltackle] with Grassknot works well as well, as Stall teams are hard pressed when dealing with him.

FlareBlitz is right: Luna is damn good.
Ok, Arcanine/Azumarill are pricks, but still...
Just let me ask something: you use Nasty Plot or Calm Mind?

Anyway: i personally believe that Leafeon is one of the prime pokes to beat stall.
Since it deals with bulky waters and can BP if something gets on your way.
And it's physical so Blissey can't come in and ruin your fun. Well, there's Hariyama/Drapion/Altaria who loves to Whirlwind/Roar you, but still...

Stall certainly dominated the tour, but the biggest bitch I faced against stall was Ace Matadors Curse Umbreon...heck after a couple of Curses even a CB Scyther fails to 2HKO it...not to mention Moltres fails to 2HKO as well...Encore really seems like your best bet against this thing...

Or Haze Milotic, Trick, Some strong fighting move after not to much Curses, ...

I'm currently using the Meganium set that Shrang posted in the creative UU set forum.

Meganium @ Leftovers
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 HP/252 Def/4 SpD
Nature: Impish
-Swords Dance
-Aromatherapy
-Synthesis
-Seed Bomb

Works like a charm. It can come in and set up on most bulky waters like Milotic. With a couple of SD's up it's belt it is quite dangerous but just as Shrang said it can still support the team with Aromatherapy and is a great absorber for Ground and Water type attacks. I guess Leafeon can run the same kind of set with Heal Bell over Aromatherapy and Leaf Blade over Seed Bomb. Even Wish can be used over Synthesis for even more team support. Although Leafeon has more physical bulk, attack and speed it cannot take special hits that well.

My Houndoom has been having fun against stall. OHKO'd a Blastoise with a +2 Flash Fire Fire Blast which is amusing. Milotic weakened = Houndoom sweep

True, but how many Milotic carry Haze nowadays? And you can always sack a poke to take the trick....but since mine was an offensive team I lacked any form of phazing as well.
It's not really a guarantee that you'll have a strong fighting move at your disposal once Umbreon starts setting up. It's natural for your opponent to make sure of that.

@ Thund: Beat Up Houndoom is pretty fun against stall too...well against Chansey basically.

NP Houndoom with Sucker Punch can be a threat indeed as it can even counter Dugtrio and some other frailer sweepers such as Swellow. But downside is however that there are a lot of priority moves in UU (especially Mach Punch and Vaccum Wave) which are sure to dent Houndoom.

Iron Bullet is right. Curse Umbreon is such a bitch to take down and annilates offense. I love it when they let me get 2+ curses. It's gg with a phazer. (could thing I have Blastoise)

People overrate how good Houndoom is at countering Dugtrio. The standard Dugtrio set often employs substitute, completely ******** over Houndoom.

Isn't the only attack move used by Curse Umbreon Payback? So Bulky Steel types like Steelix can outstall it.

Hmm, I haven't seen that once, but that could be me.

But what exactly is going to be running Mach Punch/Vaccuum Wave on stall? Nothing on a stall team is going to be out speeding Houndoom.

@ Delko: Steelix has no form of recovery besides the very uncommon Rest, while Umbreon has Moonlight.
@ PK: I guess it's sort of 50-50 in terms of which versions of Dugtrio employ Substitute and those that don't. Duggy can also defeat Houndoom through continued Sucker Punch prediction, which albeit risky, can be pulled off.

I hate umbreon. I hate it hate it hate it.

You know what it is going to do every time. And it is such a bitch to stop it. I am stunned more people dont use it.. and i really hope it goes back to ou next time lol.

and steels do wall it but they don't have recovery and magneton and dugtrio exist
