it has potential....but we should just chill until we get to see them....I mean, I disliked all of the 2nd gen starters (even totodile...to an extent), liked all 3rd gens, and LOVED all of the 4th gen starters (theyre all pretty sick), so I think they know what they're doing

It that's the case (and considering that it's true that left=grass, middle=fire, right=water), we'll have another Grass/Dark...4x Bug weakness. First Fire/Psychic and the Water one will take away Poliwrath's position as the only Water/Fighting. Seriously...we have enough Fighting-types. They should relax and not make a Fighting-type starter for a generation or two or three or forever.

Actually, there are only 25 Pokemon of Fighting type even counting preevies.
I would be fine with a part Fighting starter though Fire/Fighting is getting a bit old.

Ugh, these things keep getting cuter and stuff.

What happened to old school badasses like Charmander, Squirtle and Bulbasaur?

Now all we get is bunnies and weird ass mutations.

Last generation, Empoleon and Torterra were unique for being part Steel and Ground. I wonder if they'll do any new starter 2nd type. Psychic, Dark, Electric (probably not), Rock, Normal (probably not either), Ghost, Bug (I'm pretty sure none of those three are bugs), Ice, and Dragon (not really starter material). They have a lot to choose from.

It would be nice to have a starter that's part Dragon; however, most people would probably pick it because of that. Hell, I would! And Dragon does seem to be a bit overpowered for a starter.

My friend did this:

Grass -> Fire -> Water

And I actually don't think, that it´s a bunny. Look at the silhouette, it's ring-tailed!! And if you use google, you recognize, that even pigs have ears.. not that long, but it´s pokemon :/

i think the guy on the bottom left of the gen. 5 starters pokemon pic. is gonna be a fire type becouse of his tail tip looks like a ball of fire.

and the top middle guy i think will be a grass type becouse of his head if you look at it you will see 2 leaf lookin things poppin out of his head.

and the bottom right looks like it will be a water type becouse of its tail is shaped like a fin and its feet look like a duck lookin foot.

the fire one(bottom left) to me looks like it has a massive snout and a point nose, like exactly the same as cyndaquil. Its looking to its right

I'm pretty confident the slender one your friend thinks is fire either has a leaf on its tail or a mermaid type body (like milotic).

Last gen had the best designed starters ever in my opinion. Even the grass one was awesome. Johto had the weakest starters. They also introduced the batch of most lackluster new Pokemon. I think 5th gen may top 2nd gen in crappiness.

The top middle one has nails on it's toes like Chikorita...

Did they mention anything interesting when they showed the pictures?

I think everyone is in agreement that the one on the right is Water. The one on the middle. Everyone is going on either it's a fat, fire-breathing rabbit or a pig with leaves on its head (copying Chikorita much?). The one on the left, people are basing it on Fire or Grass on what they think the tail is. The bottom part of the fire/plant is curved down too much to be Fire so I'm pretty certain that it's Grass.

Please no. I don't want any more slow defensive grass starters. :U

Neither do I. I would love nothing more than for GF to give us something new with these starters. A fast Grass type seems cool as with a fast Water type. I would still love a defensive Fire but well...

haha I'm picturing the bunny in the middle to end up a rabbit version of Purugly and with fire. Chunky can equal defensive.
